I dragged myself to the door and looked in the peephole at my friend. I opened the door and growled at her.

“You better have coffee if you’re going to visit me so damn early.” I growled.

“I do.” She grinned, passing me a latte and barging in. “I was kind of hoping you’d still be in Nick’s bed.” She bit down on her lip to look at me and I rose a brow at her.

‘Two days later?” she nodded.

“Are you saying you wouldn’t like that?” I shut the door as she settled herself on my couch and I took a sip of my latte, letting the hot liquid stream down my throat. Delicious.

“I haven’t even seen him naked yet.” I pointed out and she rolled her eyes at me.

“You puss.y!” she shouted and I held my hands up.

“Hey it’s not my fault his ex girlfriend showed up at his apartment in a nightgown begging for him back.” Scarlett stopped drinking her tea and looked up at me.

“Excuse me?” I nodded.

“Drama central…..but to be fair the rest of the date was….perfect.” I sunk into the chair and smiled as she gave me a mischievous face.

“Oh? Is he ever so dreamy?!” she teased and I swatted at her.

“Yes. And I'm totally jumping him on our next date.” I smirked.

"Blah blah." Scar sighed as she waved my hand in the air, avoiding my gaze on purpose. I narrowed my eyes on her.

"What do you mean blah blah Scarlett? You don't want me to kick your ass so early in the morning, do you?" I threatened, unfortunately we were pretty immune to each other’s threats by now.

"I'd like to remember you that I'm the one who spend half of her day working up." She deadpanned, not even flinching.

"Did you start having sex again?" I asked with a smirk, being a smarta.ss but as I said it it looked like her brain went on overdrive…and I wondered what was going on inside it.

"Did you?" she retorted instead, paying me back with a matching grin.

"As I said, I'm working on it." I answered smugly, adjusting on the chair and sipping my latte in an obscene way, making fun of my friend.

"As I said, you're good at talking, not so much at acting." She was challenging me I knew but still.

“I think it might be my turn to blah blah.” I replied, narrowing my eyes on my friend.

“Touche.” Scar replied, laying back on my couch and letting her eyes shut gently. I chucked a pillow at her. “Hey!”

‘You can’t wake me up and then sleep on my couch.” I said seriously.

“I'm sorry but the pressure of your sexual frustration is exhausting.” She teased, her lips curling into a smirk. I tossed another pillow at her.

“I hate you.”

“No you love me instead.” She stated and I leaned back in my chair, letting out a long groan. “To bad you can’t take me to bed it would make your life so much easier.”

“Sorry cutie I have my eyes set on someone else.” I winked at her and she made a show of sighing dramatically.

“You know if you knew how good I was I wouldn’t be your second choice.” She winked and I couldn’t help but let out a giggle.

“You’re a dancer. I'm sure you’re epic. Unfortunately you’re missing some of my favorite parts.” I smirked slowly and then it was Scar’s turn to laugh.

“Because I have no boobies?” she joked back, looking down her top and pouting. I shook my head.

“No I like that actually.” I said as I thought about it.

“What?!” she smirked and looked back at me.

“I think if I was going to be like a girl I’d want her to have little boobies. One….so I wouldn’t feel inferior and jealous, and two because they’d fit in my tiny hands.” Scar and I both broke into another fit of giggles and she shook her head.

“Is your Nick trying to get you in bed with him and a girl Brooke?” I laughed and shook my head.

“I'm sure he wouldn’t oppose but I'm just trying to get him into a twosome for now. Now it’s your turn.”

“My turn to tell you who my girl crush would be?” she asked.

“Sure, but also your boy crush.” I said, noticing the slight glow she had when she kind of liked a guy. I recognized it. I don’t know if she did.

"My boy crush is dead and gone." she sighed then frowned, looking like she was thinking back. "Actually no, he's the usual hot self, but the sex bank has closed." I choked on my latte, my eyes widening,

“What?"

"No more Charlie between my legs." she replied with a shrug, trying to act like that didn’t bother her….but I knew better.

"Oh yeah, I guessed that, but it wasn't what I was talking about." I admitted, and gave her a grin.  She reached for a pillow and chucked it at me.

"Ops." she made an innocent face when I groaned again, "I have no idea of what you're talking about though. I haven't been out much lately except for work, I might be turning into a nun." I let out a snort, sounding like a little animal,

"You a nun? Doubtful." I shook my head then the grin came back again, "Anyway, I meant your new boy crush." She just stared at me blankly,

"Who?"

"Whoever you've been with for the last week." I paused, raising one eyebrow, "If I don't hear from you for a week? It means you're busy with some guy."

"I told you, no sex for this poor nun." she rolled her eyes, "And I didn't call you because I was busy working and studying. Also I was waiting for YOUR call, I was dying to hear about your date with Nick." I ignored the last part of her sentence, cocking my head to the side to look at her,

"So what have you been up to?" she shrugged,

"I've been hanging out with Mason." ….what?!?!

"Mason?" I looked at me, shocked, because as much as I thought they’d be adorable together? She was intent on hating him.

"Mason Mason?"

"Yes, your Mason." She said casually, "We watched movies, shared candies, had a good laugh...we're neighbors on friendly terms now."

“He didn’t make a move on you?” I asked, flabbergasted. I couldn’t remember the last time Mason spent more than a few hours with a girl without making a move. Except me. Then again he fake made moves on me all the time.

“Define move….” She trailed off, and I lifted the pillow over my head to warn her. She held up her hands. “One kiss!” she replied and I lowered it but rose my brow.

“Like earth shattering Cinderella with one foot up kiss?” she smirked.

“Earth shattering? Not really. Cinderella? Yes. But only because it was totally G-rated.” I shook my head.

“I didn’t know Mase did anything G rated.” Scar sat up and looked at me.

“You’re not mad are you?” I blinked.

“Yeah I am! You kept this from me!!!” she shook her head.

“No I mean….it’s not weird for you that I'm hanging out with your backup plan?” I blinked again.

“If Mason was my backup plan I’d have fu.cked him by now. I passed needing a back up months ago.” I said seriously.

“Still….you guys are weird about each other.”

“We’re friends.” I said back.

“Okay….” She still didn’t look convinced.

“You’re the one kissing him not me!!!”

"Once." Scar narrowed her eyes on me, "One tiny kiss."

"You're being weird." I pointed out.

"Uhm?"

"Your questions...this kiss..."

"Oh yeah Brooke, that makes sense." I rolled my eyes at her,

"I mean..." I felt frustrated, like she wasn’t telling me something….or something. "Do you like him or not?"

"I like spending time with him, I like him as friend." she answered quietly, but I called bullshit.

"Yeah right." I said flatly, "Because friends kiss usually." This time was Scars turn to groan apparently,

"Oh dear god Brooke it was one kiss, no tongue, no hands roaming my body, just his lips on mine, end of the story” I grinned at her description,

"You sound disappointed." she shook her head quickly,

"No. It was a really good kiss..." she trailed off, letting out a small sig that told me way more than her words ever would….

"Uhm." I mumbled with a nod, knowing my friend too well. I started to get a little nervous though…Mason was the same as Charlie, he might be interested in hooking up with Scar…but there was not chance for more….I didn’t think.

"So no hands? I'm sorry Scar but Mason giving you an innocent kiss is quite shocking."

"He unzipped my onesie but didn't get to touch or see anything really." I just stared at her for a second as I tried to process that ridiculous piece of information.

"You were wearing an onesie?" I asked before breaking out into laughter.

"Sexy right? Totally Cinderella, I could have been a maid." Scar said and smirked, liking to joke about things more than analizing them, "And then he said he had to work in the morning and basically kicked me out." I widened my eyes as I settled down, more than confused. One because I’d never seen Mase go to work in the morning as long as I’d known him. Two because Scarlett was gorgeous and I’d never seen him kick a gorgeous girl out of his apartment. Third….because I wasn’t sure how she felt about him either.

“Okay….” I trailed off and she shook her head.

“I don’t want to talk about it anymore.” She replied, letting her eyes shut. I nodded.

“Okay.” I said again. She looked back at me.

“You are weird about this.” I shook my head.

“I'M not weird…..you two are weird.” I shook my head. “I'm being shockingly normal in my relationships.” She laughed.

“Yes, shockingly normal and prudish.” Of course. Any chance to tease me. “Did he Cinderella kiss you at the door?” she laughed and I shook my head.

“No. Stuck his tongue down my throat at the door.” I winked.

“Good kisser?” she asked, looking interested again. I nodded.

“Earth shattering.” I admitted, sighing as I sank into the chair.

“So have you disbanded your no-relationship rule?” I shrugged.

“I dunno…..” she sat up and looked back at me.

“Don’t lose this guy. You don’t see how you look when you talk about him Brooke…..it’s been a long time since you’ve looked so happy.”

“Says the girl who wants me to put out on the first date.” I smirked, though her words touched me. Neither of us were all that good at the hard stuff, we more liked to joke about it. Apparently we were missing the empathetic take care of you gene most women had….but maybe that’s why we got along so well. Either way, when she said things like that? I realized how much she actually loved me. Silliness aside.

"I guess I'm late for that now." she shrugged and smiked, her fingers playing with her hair as she relaxed against the cushion.

"So now you're the girl who wants me to put out on the second date?" I asked, giving her a smug grin.

“No, I'm the girl who wants you to put out period." She said seriously.

"I told you, I'm working on it." I winked at her and she gave me a real smile.

"I'll be ready to pop the champagne when the time comes." Scar grinned at me before changing the subject once again, "Talking about champagne..." Scar started and I just looked at her.

“Uhm?" I mumbled unintelligently.

"It's my birthday in a week or so." she started, smirking wider when I rolled my eyes because of course I knew that. "We should talk about my surprise party."

"What surprise party?"

"The one you said you'd throw me!"

"But if you know about it it's not a secret anymore!" I protested, pouting at my friend.

"I took an acting class, I'll be suprised, trust me." Scar faked a straight face but she loved her birthday and I loved her and it was cute how excited she always god.

“How about it’s just a regular party so that I can focus on making all the food and not coming up with ways for you to not know it’s happening even though it was your idea?” I suggested, smirking at my friend.

“Fine. But you’re making extra cupcakes.” I looked at her like she was nuts.

“I always make extra cupcakes.”

“You should invite Nick.” She suggested, rolling on her stomach and propping an elbow up to rest on.

“Maybe.” I shrugged.

“Not maybe. Do it! It’s my birthday.” I shook my head as I laughed. Scarlett loved her birthday, and I loved throwing parties so it was a win win.

“Fine but don’t tease him or anything!” she shook her head.

“I'm not going to tease him. Just give him super specific instructions on how to get you into his bed.” She looked like she was about to die as she said it but I scoffed.

“What makes you think you know any specifics?!” she rose a brow at me.

“I'm sure you know the same about me.” She replied and I grinned as I thought about it. Funny the things girls knew about each other….

“Good point…..I should have lunch with Mason later.” I smirked although honestly? Mason pretty much was every one of Scar’s turn ons. She was just ignoring that fact.

“Oh great. So next time he kisses me I can think of you.” She spat back and I laughed out loud.

“First of all? That should help you.” I winked. “Secondly…..next time?”

“We’re talking about my party.” She said as she turned her head and looked to the ceiling.

“I'm going to wear teal I think.” I said, humoring her, but also making her more annoyed that we weren’t talking about her. She glared at me.

“I'm sorry is it your birthday coming up?” she asked and I tried to keep from grinning at my silly friend. “Though you have a point. We should go shopping.”

“Do you need to look hot for someone? Maybe you invited a certain neighbor you’re lusting after?” I bit down on my lip.

“I need to look hot for everyone. I’ll be the guest of honor.” She replied, ignoring my teasing.

“Maybe you should wear a onsie. Seems to work for you.” I couldn’t help it anymore. I was giggling. It was too early.

"I have plenty of those, I can give you one of mine and we can match." she glanced at me as I shook my head just thinking about it.
"But I told you I want to wear teal." I said back and frowned, "Do you have a teal onesie?" Scar pretended to think about it, then she widened her eyes as she smiled,
"I do!!" she exlaimed, "Not." she added and faked a serious face, that only made us both giggle more. I curled up in the chair, resting my head against its back as I wrapped my arms around my knees,
"Too bad, Nick wouldn't be able to resist me." Scar shot me a grin,
"Maybe I should have a pajama party."
"If that means that guys get to wear nothing but boxers? I agree." I said seriously remembering Nick shirtless in my apartment and his di.ck straining against his jeans. Oh my god I needed to sleep with him before I went actually crazy.
"Then you'd give Nick a boner with your teal onesie and bam!" Scar slammed her hand against the couch, pulling out of my fantasies of Nick and his talented mouth and making me jump. "My party would turn into an orgy."
"You have a naughty mind."
"Have mercy on me, my head is the only place where all the sexy action happens at the moment." she sighed dramatically, turning on the couch again and burying her face against a cushion.
"If I got a date? You will too eventually." Scar raised her head to shot me an amused look,
"Where is this coming from, Miss Negativity?"
"If there's hope for you there must be for me too."
“I have no problem getting dates, it’s finding ones that want to keep dating me that’s the problem.” She pointed out and I rolled my eyes.
“Oh please. There are one million guys who would give up anything to be your willing slave if you wanted it. You’re just picky. And have terrible taste.”
“Says the nun.” I narrowed my eyes and leaned forward.
“Its different.” She shook her head.
“Yes. It’s different because you must have forgotten what sex is like and so that’s why you don’t need it anymore. I still very much remember.” She pouted and I cracked up.
“You’re a crazy girl.” She nodded.
“What can I put in this coffee to make me tipsy?” she asked, sitting up. I glanced at her.
“Nothing. It’s too early to be tipsy.” She sighed again and slumped back on the couch.
“So are you going shopping with me or no?” I faked a face of thinking about it for a second.
“For onsies? No I like easier access.” She rolled her eyes.
“I’ll believe that when I see it.” I finished the last of my latte and set it on the table.
“Shopping then?” she nodded. “I know what Mason likes.” I smirked, teasing her more and I even swore I could see her blush a little, but also like she wanted to hit me. Both didn’t surprise me in the least.
"I know what he likes too." She said casually as she shrugged.
"Mind to share?" I asked giving her a suspicious look.
"If he's your bestie I don't need to tell you what he likes." Scar pointed out and yawned.
"I say bullshit instead." I replied, watching her shift on the couch. She was acting nervous, which just proved to me she had more of a thing for him than she’d admit, which didn’t make much sense to me since she always confided in me. I wondered why she was resisting now, but either way I’d get to tease her so I would be patient.
"He doesn't really have a type-"
"Doubtful."
"But. Sexy with big boobs and no brain would probably work." I smirked, it was true that was what Mase went for. Except the no-brain part. His ex wasn’t an idiot….she just acted like one for attention. Which actually in itself was idiotic so I guess I take it back.
"We'll have no problem with the no brain thing, but you need some miracolous push-up."
