your warmth is crashing down on me

I watched as Tara ran her hand through her hair and smiled at me.
"Are you coming?" I grinned and nodded, following her into the bakery, admiring the way the white dress she was wearing flowed around her curves.
"Of course." I sat down at my usual chair and waited for the best latte and pastry I'd ever had but she blinked at me.

everybody goin' out of they skins, see we get to the end but that's where we begin

I looked around my empty bakery. It was still too early to have clients, but it was weird that Caleb hadn't shown up yet, skipping what was now a routine. I glanced at the clock one last time, then made a coffee and decided that if Caleb didn't come to coffee, coffe would come to him.
I walked to his winery and made my way to her office, stopping a moment to study the expression on his face. He seemed...darker than usual. Worried. Annoyed. Still impossibly handsome, but still. "Bad day?" I asked.
Caleb looked up and kept quiet a moment, as if he was surprised I was there, then swallowed and shrugged. "Um. No. Maybe." He took a deep breath. "What are you doing here?"
"You didn't come in this morning. I figured you might need a pick me up." I said with a smile that was a little forced because he didn't look too friendly, reaching out to him with a bag and a to go latte cup.
"Thank you." He said seriously. Too seriously.

we're almost there

"Where are we going?" I asked, turning towards my boyfriend who looked gorgeous in dark blue jeans and a black v-neck t-shirt, his eyes covered by sunglasses as he drove down the highway.
"I'm not telling you Lil stop asking." He shook his head and I sighed dramatically but we both knew i was smiling.

heaven out of hell now

"Where are we going?" Lila asked, turning towards me, my eyes covered by sunglasses as I drove down the highway.
"I'm not telling you Lil stop asking." I shook my head since she had been asking from the moment we had left my house.
She sighed dramatically but we both knew she was smiling. "Enough time for road head?" She smirked.
I laughed. "Yes." I smirked as I swerved across the lanes, always the speeder no matter how much she yelled at me. We weren't even with my bike so she had nothing to yell about.
"Not if you're going to drive like that." She said seriously. "I thought you said we'd take your bike." She pouted.
