just a little closer

just a little closer

Jax

“I’m serious! We have to go!!!” Lila called from the patio and I turned to her.
“What’s wrong with what we’re wearing now?” I asked, pushing my hair back as I tossed Parker the football with ease.
“Um, you’re covered in dirt. No club will let you in wearing that.”
“No club will let me in anyways, I’m so obviously a soccer mom.” Liz’s voice came as she walked into the backyard with Adam.
“Not from where I’m standing.” Kolton shot her a wicked grin and Adam narrowed his eyes on her brother.
“I don’t know who you are but I don’t like the way you’re looking at my wife.” He said seriously. What was wrong with my brothers, they snapped for nothing.
“I’m sure you don’t like the way most guys look at her.” Kolton responded with a shrug as Liz turned bright red and Adam practically growled.
“Rob! My brothers are going to take us to the laser tag place!!!” Will said, running up to his friend.
“I don’t know what I’m wearing either.” Colbie admitted, watching the boys run off.
“Please. I have enough dresses to clothe an army. Now come on, I haven’t seen my boyfriend in like 4 days and he doesn’t like waiting for me.”
“Have fun.” Adam kissed his wife sweetly before I pulled my girl into my arms.
I didn’t kiss her because I was trying to be good around her family, mostly around Will, but god I wanted to kiss her so bad. Instead I leaned in to her ear. “Wear something I’ll be thinking about taking off all night.”
She shivered in my arms and blushed furiously “Deal.”

Lila
“Seriously guys, we have PG-13 fun happening in like an hour if you want to change we have to go now.” I told Jax and my sister as they played touch football with Will and my brothers. Surprisingly Jax seemed to charm them all, except maybe Reese but even he was wearing down pretty fast. Not that it was that much of a surprise, Jax was an easy guy to like. A part of me wished Travis was the same way but he didn’t even want to come today. To be fair, he had to work but I was pretty sure he scheduled the meeting on purpose in order not to come today.

I've got thick skin and an elastic heart

I opened my eyes slowly and closed them again, enjoying a few more seconds in bed before getting up. Aria and I had been in London for almost a month now and we had adjusted quickly. We even had a routine now, I woke up before she did, we made breakfast together before she went to work, then I spent the rest of the day killing time until she was done filming. The city was great, I loved the cold weather, the dark gloomy clouds that often matched my mood, the parks, the alleys, I was even developing a new love for tea. London fit me, that was for sure, the house we lived in had all the comforts, Aria seemed happy...but I still didn't feel completely myself. I was trying to.
Getting out of the bed quietly, I walked towards the kitchen to make coffee, my mind already working fast as I glanced around. It was our first Christmas just us alone and it was our first Christmas as husband and wife too. It was insane.
"Merry Christmas baby." Aria's voice broke the silence as I felt her arms wrap around my waist and I jumped.

Take my breath and never let it go.

Take my breath and never let it go.

"Merry Christmas baby," My voice broke the silence as I wrapped my arms around Seb's waist and he jumped, not having heard me make my way into the kitchen where he was. Ever since we'd arrived in London we'd fallen into such a routine, Seb waking up before me then we'd make breakfast together before I had to leave for work. Since this was our first Christmas together as husband and wife, I had the day off and planned on spending every minute of it with my man.

let me hear you say you want it all

I grabbed one more dress shirt and a few tee shirts before walking back from Trav’s closet to his bedroom, moving to fold them before setting them in his suitcase.
"The perks of having a girlfriend." he commented in a teasing voice, smirking.
"You could help me packing FOR YOU instead of laying on your bed doing only god knows what." I protested, though a part of me liked being so domestic because it meant we were really working. How we made it from lust and anger fuc.king to love was beyond me, but I loved it.

I moved my eyes from my laptop to Lila, who watched into my bedroom holding a few of my shirts and sporting a pout on her sinful lips. "The perks of having a girlfriend." I commented in a teasing voice, smirking.
She sighed as she walked to my suitcase, folding my shirts before looking at me again. "You could help me packing FOR YOU instead of laying on your bed doing only god knows what." She protested, she didn't seem annoyed though.
My smirk only got wider while I wondered how we had gone from random crazy consuming sex to...this. One year had done wonders on our relationship, and now that I had even told her about Karlie I felt like I could stop holding back. I could go back to be my usual, sometimes grumpy sometimes fun sometimes good and sometimes bad, self. "Why? You're so much better than me." I retorted. I could do everything by myself, having this kind of help was good though.
"Flattering won't take you anywhere." She muttered as her eyes bounced between two ties.
"It already took me everywhere instead." I said back and shrugged, turning my laptop off and setting it on my bedside table. "Both."
