tu étais formidable, j'étais fort minable

I glanced at my watch as I walked into the bar, letting out a breath when I realized that I wasn't late really, my eyes scanning the place next and finding my best friend immediately. I headed in his direction, noticing how there was a waitress with him which was this close to throw herself at him. Tristan had that effect one women and I wasn't surprised.
"Is that your new girl?" I said with a grin, sliding into the booth across from him as she walked away, no longer within earshot from us.
Tristan lifted a brow and glanced at her, the way she swayed as she walked then tossed her head over her shoulder to make sure he was watching. He groaned and shook his head, "No. How are you? I think it's been weeks since we last spoke."
I ran a hand through my hair, knowing I was at fault and feeling beuinely sorry for neglecting my friend. "I know, have you been avoiding me?" I grinned.
"Not at all," He said honestly, "I've missed my boyfriend."
"You're lucky Cami didn't hear that or she'd get jealous," I joked, realizing how much I needed to spend time with my friend to make my life lighter.

I swirled the scotch in my glass, keeping my eyes on the door while waiting for Ben. I was early, always early, but tonight? My nerves were at a all time high and I wanted to be two drinks deep, at least, before he got here. I cleared my throat as the cocktail waitress passed and ordered one more, downing the glass in my hand and then setting it down for her to collect. She gave me a long look, the kind that normally would have me interested, only right now my life was so goddamn confusing I wasn't going to bother.

"Is that your new girl?" Ben said with a grin, sliding into the booth across from me as she walked away, no longer within earshot from us.

forcing old hymns through a naked swim, we’re crawling up from the cold whims

I tore my eyes away from the kids as I spotted a blonde head I knew well at the end of the field. I've been so caught up with the game that I hadn't noticed that my girlfriend was there watching us, both because it had been a hard one and because in all honesty I wasn't expecting her to show up. There she was instead, in all her glorious beauty, walking to me with a smile on her face.
"You won!" Lila exclaimed as she threw her arms around my neck and pressed her body hard against me.
"We did." I smirked at her, gripping her tiny body tightly and lifting her from the ground as I placed a hard kiss on her lips. I hadn't seen her in a few days and while on one hand it had felt pretty normal, on the other I was craving her more than I thought.
Once our lips parted and she was back on her feet, she glared and hit my chest. Hard. What the hell? "You're an a.ss."
I blinked at her, surprised by the change of mood. "What did I do?" I asked, genuinely taken aback.
"You disappeared for a week." She said seriously but I could see she wasn't really mad, or as mad as she was happy to see me now.

guess there's a chance that i'm falling quite hard over you

I ran up to Travis on the grass, throwing my arms around his neck as I squealed.
"You won!" I exclaimed, seeing his face light up as he saw me thank god. I was worried maybe he hadn't wanted to after this week.
"We did." he smirked at me, holding me tight and lifting me up as he kissed me. Yum. Once our lips parted and I was back on my feet, I glared and hit his chest. Hard.
"You're an ass."
"What did I do?" he asked, genuinely taken aback.
"You disappeared for a week." I replied, though I was in too good a mood after them winning and that kiss to be really mad. He just smirked wider and cradled my head in his hand as he angled his down to nuzzle my nose.

I let my lips linger against Aria's as we shared our first kiss as husband and wife, neither of us willing to break it. My hands clutched at her tiny waist to keep her against my body firmly while hers cupped my neck gently. It was slow, intimate, gentle and I'd lie if I said I wasn't excited to be married to the only love of my life, ridiculously happy too. When I finally pulled my head back, just enough to see the contageous smile on my Aria's face, I also realized that around us where was no one anymore, the man who had officiated at the ceremony has disappeared and we were left with nothing but sand, sea and candles as company.
Aria gave me a silly look as she bit down on her lip, "Are we really married Seb?" She asked, trying to conceal the smile tugging at the corner of her mouth but failing. She looked randiant and, of course, incredibly beautiful. "This all feels unreal." She confessed in a quite voce that showed her enthusiasm too.
I smiled as big as her, thinking that I couldn't have wanted a better wedding than this. So far everything had gone perfectly. "It is, I have proof." I said and pulled my left hand away from her body, regretfully, blinking at the wedding band Aria had gotten me and now encircling my finger. I had to admit it felt pretty unreal to me too, mostly since it had been a surprise I hadn't seen coming at al. "We're married and you're officially and legally mine Mrs Aria Pitt." I added, getting hold of her again and again kissing her.
"What now?" She asked against my lips as she grinned wide, looking as excited as a kid in a candy shop, "I know you're up to something. I sensed it for days."

I smiled against Seb's lips as we shared our first kiss as husband and wife, neither of us willing to break it. His hands clutched at my waist to keep me against his hard body firmly while mine cupped his neck gently. It was slow, intimate, gentle and perfect. When he finally pulled his head back, just enough to see the huge smile on my face, he glanced around us while I did the same, realizing that every one had left us. The man who had officiated at the ceremony has disappeared and we were left with nothing but sand, sea and candles as company. I definitely wasn't complaining.

I crossed and then recrossed my legs. I wanted to look sexy...but not like I was trying too hard. I looked down at my lingerie and laughed at that thought. A woman who got naked and waiting for a man in his office? Totally trying too hard. But I was a woman of action and if I wanted any more from Tristan? I was going to have to go for it. My body shivered in anticipation as I heard a key in the lock and then.
Oh my god.
He was with a woman
Fuck.

You act so innocent now, but you lied so soon.

You act so innocent now, but you lied so soon.

I ran a tired hand through my hair and reached into my pocket, not sure why the fuck my office door was locked while a foot tapped loudly behind me. Retrieving my keys, I slide the right one into the lock and turned it, twisting the door knob and pushing the door open enough to find a very scantily clad Chloe Lindsell kicking back in my chair. I meant to slam the door shut, but the voice behind gasping let me know that it was too late for that. And I think momentary shock played into it as well.

"I can see why you love your job so much," My mum said from behind me. And that's when I slammed the door shut, turning to face my mum who had a brow raised and her arms crossed.

Nolan intertwined his fingers with mine, making me tense up beside him which only made him grin. Of course. "What's wrong?" He asked and let his eyes scan the crowd, while I wondered why in god's name I had agreeed to go to this awful work party with him. Right, because he was being honored for the work he'd done marketing the iTunes music festival which had been a hit at SXSW and also because I owned him a bunch of favors.
"People are going to think we're dating," I said back in a flat tone, not having really many problems about him holding my hand if only it wasn't so off and out of character for him. If he held my hand then no other loser would hit on me and I was more than fine with that, the down side for him was that no other girl could even dare to come close to him. I had no intention to be stood up in the middle of a party I didn't even want to be at.
He gave my hand a squeeze, "My ego would be hurt if that girl in the sparkly pink dress wasn't currently eye fu.cking the both of us and making me think about a threesome."
"No and ew," I wrinkled my nose when he looked at me, lifting his brow. "Who wears a reject prom dress to business party?"

This is the winner takes it all.

I intertwined my fingers with Eva's, feeling her tense up beside me which only made me grin. "What's wrong?" I asked and let my eyes scan the crowd. Usually I avoided work parties, but tonight I was being honored for the work I'd done marketing the iTunes music festival which had been a hit at SXSW.

I walked into YSL late, the door swinging shut behind me as the sales girl straightened her posture a little more while I raced past her towards my older sister, “I’m sorry I’m late. I had to drop Gabe off with Ben.”

Mila smirked back, probably not buying my story which was actually true. Maybe it wasn't the whole story, but still. “You’re fine. I just got here.” She grabbed tan crocodile pumps that I was almost positive she had in her closet, “What do you think of these?”

“Don’t you have those exact ones in black?” I laughed, raising an eyebrow as I handed her a cup of coffee from her favorite cafe down the street.

“Yeah, so?” She pouted, putting them down and grabbed the cup out of my hands.

I stepped into YSL and smiled widely at the rack of the insanely beautiful pieces of clothing that and I felt like I was in heaven. I waved at the sales woman who greeted me and showed me a few new items that I immediately fell in love with. I had so many clothes yet I couldn’t stop; some people called it a problem, I called it my life.
I heard the door open and shut as my younger sister walked in flustered, “I’m sorry I’m late. I had to drop Gabe off with Ben.” She told me.

Cami led Gabe through the last loft with her hand on his back, beside her me holding her other hand while the realtor explained everything she knew about the space. Honestly, it looked like the last two. Only worse and it costed a small fortune. "Is there a backyard?" Gabe wrinkled his nose while she eyed him curiously, making it known that she didn't like kids around while she did her job. "I want a backyard so I can play with my toys and have a pool like grandma does!"
"There is no space for a pool," She shook her head with a fake smile on her face. "But you can fit toys back there."
Cami shrugged at me as we walked towards the french doors that she pushed open, showing us a backyard that might fit the three of us. Standing. "My toys won't fit back here," Gabe pouted stubbornly.

Lovers hold on to everything.

I led Gabe through the last loft with my hand on his back, beside me Ben holding my other hand while the realtor explained everything she knew about the space. Honestly, it looked like the last two. Lofts were getting smaller and smaller in Paris, while the prices did the opposite. "Is there a backyard?" Gabe wrinkled his nose while she eyed him curiously, making it known that she didn't like kids around while she did her job. “Graham?” I yelled out as stepped into the apartment, tossing my keys on the table and kicking off my heels as no one responded, “Graham, baby, are you home?” I asked once more, worried.
“I’m in the kitchen.” I heard a deep voice and I walked into our kitchen. Graham was sitting there, sipping some kind of brown liquid out of out crystal glass… We never used that set nor did we really have liquor in the house other than beer and wine. He looked disheveled and drunk.

First thing's first, I'm the realest.

First thing's first, I'm the realest.

I pulled my robe around me with a steaming cup of tea in my hand, the sound of my feet padding through the apartment breaking the silence as I made my way to the door. My eyes grazed the clock as I passed it, it really wasn't as late as I had assumed. I guess I wasn't used to staying in at night, between the clubs hours or late night trysts, I rarely found myself at home between the hours of 9:00 PM and 4 AM. Peeking through the eyehole, I felt confused as hell finding Ryan standing in my doorway. I pulled the door open and smiled at her, instantly noticing something was off. "Are you okay?" I asked, not missing a beat while my smile dropped.

Ryan's eyes were red but she played it off with ease, "What, no hello? Where are your manners?"

I know you better than I ever have before.

"Hey!!" Chloe smiled as I sat down next to her on the bench and pushed my hair out of my eyes. "How's my baby?" She nodded towards Gabe, who was telling a girl a little younger than him how to properly swing on a swing.

"He's flirting," I said, surprised myself since last week he was barely giving me hugs since I'm a girl.

"He's flirting." I smirked at how cute they both were, how big the girls eyes were when she looked at him. It reminded me of Cami and Ben as kids honestly.

"Just like his father that one." She laughed and I eyed her, but didn't say anything about my suspicions with her and my brother. Who still wasn't talking to me, the stubborn jerk.
