I intertwined my fingers with Eva's, feeling her tense up beside me which only made me grin. "What's wrong?" I asked and let my eyes scan the crowd. Usually I avoided work parties, but tonight I was being honored for the work I'd done marketing the iTunes music festival which had been a hit at SXSW.
"People are going to think we're dating," She said back in a flat tone.
I gave her hand a squeeze, "My ego would be hurt if that girl in the sparkly pink dress wasn't currently eye fucking the both of us and making me think about a threesome."
"No and ew," She wrinkled her nose when I looked at her, lifting my brow. "Who wears a reject prom dress to business party?"
I laughed, "I've never seen a high school girl that looked like that..."
"Her boobs are fake," She retorted, catching me offguard since she almost sounded jealous. It was impossible though.
I let my eyes run over Eva's body and the tight dress covering it. Later on? I'd be peeling it from her body and worshiping every inch of it. "I wish the girls I went to high school with looked like you," I said serious, my dick practically getting hard just at the sight of her. She was too gorgeous for her own good and she knew it. You could tell by the way she carried herself.... Every mans wet dream.
She rolled her eyes at the compliment, never knowing how to say a simple thank you. "Are you going to stand here and eyefuck me all night or will you get me a drink?" She pushed her hair over her shoulder so it all fell down her back.
I grinned, "I'd rather fuck you."
"I'd rather fuck you too, but it's not an option," she said with a snort, her mood not exactly the best one.
I raised one brow slowly, annoyed with her smartass remarks. No wonder we could barely ever carry a conversation out of the bedroom. She was much more tolerable when naked. "I'm the one that lists the options."
"If you wanted to fuck me we could've stayed home," She retorted, always wanting to have the last word about everything even though sometimes it meant she pushed it a little too much. Luckily, I could handle a lot.
"And miss all the fun? What's life without some excitement," I said instead, never taking her seriously and often ignoring the sour words that left those plump lips.
"Ugh shut up," She muttered under her breath but smirked a little as she leaned into me, her free hand setting on my chest as she pressed an innocent kiss on my lips.
"Are you crazy? People will think we're dating," I smirked back as I used her own words against her.
She shrugged nonchalantly this time, pulling back to brush away gently the little lipstick she had pressed on my lips with her thumb. "I don't care, it's not like I want to go back home with anyone else," She said simply as she glanced around, "Will you get me a drink now or should I go get it by myself?"
"Always impatient." I shook my head, "Do you want to get drunk?"
"And have a headache tomorrow morning? No thanks," She shook her head. "I just want some help to get through the speech you'll give later," She smirked at me from ear to ear.
I groaned, not shy but I hated giving speeches. I remembered giving them in college, dying a slow death having to sit through one awful speech after another. Some people were seriously boring. "Maybe we should sneak out before that happens," I cocked a brow at her while she bit down on her lip and rolled her eyes.
"And miss your speech? Never," She replied back while I led the way to the bar.
I moved my eyes from hers to order our drinks, handing her something white and bubbly a second later. "I had no idea you were so interested in my professional life," I said in an amused tone, looking at Eva and almost losing my train of thought for a moment. She did that to me sometime. I could honestly say I'd never seen someone so beautiful before... not that I'd admit that outloud to her. Her ego was already sometimes too much to handle. Guys could barely speak around her. "Or is it just me in general that you're interested in?" My ego on the other hand was probably worse.
She rolled her eyes and for a moment I thought she might groan, "Just you when you're naked."
I grinned and lowered my mouth to her ear to whisper, "Are you thinking about my cock inside of you right now?"
She parted her lips to say something but changed her mind and licked her lips before pulling her head back, shooting me a naughty grin instead, "No, I'm thinking that if you want to engage me in a dirty conversation I'm all in, but when you'll give your speech I'll be distracted by your erection."
My expression changed slowly, "You know how to kill the mood."
"It's for your own good cupcake," She smirked wider and watched me roll my eyes, her free hand landing on my neck gently as she leaned into me to press her lips against mine. "If you think I'm being bad now you should punish me later," She added in a whisper, staring into my eyes.
"Is that why you're so often a little mean thing? So that you can get all the spanks you want?" I asked and gripped at her hip tightly.
She ignored the part when I called her mean, shrugging instead as she pulled back, "I love a good spank yes."
I watched as she took a sip of her drink and made a cute face, clearly disapproving of her drink. I smiled at her with an amused expression, loving how naughty she was. "I should bend you over the bar and spank you right now," I replied, my hands practically itching to do so.
"But you won't," She quipped back and took another sip of her drink, this time her nose wrinkling.
"As much as I'm enjoying the cute faces you're making? I can get you something else to drink," I said seriously while she handed me her almost finished glass.
"Yes please," She said softly, looking pleased. I grinned and turned to the bartender again, a moment later a beer in my hand. "Beer looks tacky at work events."
I laughed and took a sip of my scotch, "A thank you would suffice."
"Thank you," She shot me an innocent smile, taking the glass from my hand and replacing it with the beer quickly. "You didn't really have to."
"Eva," I groaned, unamused.
She faked a pout before taking a gulp of my scotch, "I made you a favor. You can't give your speech tipsy and this was too strong."
"Please, scotch does nothing to me," I retorted flatly, now stuck with a beer which was good, but my drink was better.
"Ops," She said as she let a big grin play on her lips, leaning her side against mine before nuzzling my neck, "I'm being bad again?" She purred against my skin, loving nothing more than teasing me.
"I want to spank you so bad right now," I said in a growl, wrapping an arm around her and grasping her waist tightly. My mind was already pulling up the image of her naked on all fours, looking at me over her shoulder while I slapped her ass hard enough to leave a hand print.
She moved her eyes down her body and bit her lip, flicking them back up to meet mine, "Are you hard already?"
I groaned and turned my body into hers, "Are you drunk already?"
She pressed her chest against mine, probably grinning when my eyes went straight to her cleavage. She drove me fucking insane. "If I was drunk right now? We wouldn't be standing here," She said seriously, taking another sip of my scotch.
I dropped my head and ran my tongue across her lips, tasting enough of the scotch to make me grin. Pressing a quick kiss against those lips, I pulled my head back, "Where would we be instead?"
"We'd be locked up in the closest bathroom fucking like rabbits," She answered nonchalantly with a shrug, trying to keep her face straight even though her eyes were suddenly very dark.
I moved my hand down her back, letting it rest dangerously close to her ass, "And can't that happen when you're sober?" I asked as my eyes kept bouncing between her breasts and her lips. I was obvious, but I was only a man.
She bit down on her lip and shook her head, "You know that when I'm drunk I lose all my inibitions."
"What inibitions?" I asked back as my brow rose slowly and my lips curved into a grin.
She ignored that, not wanting to admit that I was right and not wanting to lie either, so she scanned the crowd before letting her eyes land back on my face. "Why did you take me with you?" She asked, genuinely curious about that since it seemed so out of character for me. I mean, we didn't even go out on dates... because we weren't a couple.
I shrugged my shoulders, "I needed a date and I knew you'd put out at the end of the night."
She rolled her eyes, but she couldn't deny that it was true. "Keep talking and you'll go home with nothing but blueballs," She retorted finally.
I laughed and shook my head, "Do you not like going out on dates with me? We've become so good at playing a couple."
"Don't push it cupcake," She replied flatly with her arms crossing over her chest. It made me wonder what made her this way. She was breathtakingly beautiful and I had no idea how she wasn't already married to some rich guy who could give her everything she ever wanted. She seemed like the type afraid of commitment, either that or just too married to work to give a poor guy the time of day. I really couldn't complain though since that meant more Eva for me.
"So why do you hate men?" I asked point blank while she returned the gaze with a confused look on her face. Maybe that was pushing it a bit. "Why aren't you in a relationship? You can have any man you want, yet you cringe whenever someone says the word relationship."
She stared at me for a moment, probably wondering where all this was coming from. It was a subject that we did our best to avoid. "I really don't know where to start."
I shot her an amused grin this time, "That'd be a first. You always know how to use your mouth. No pun intended. Or yes."
"I don't hate men or I wouldn't spend so much time with you," She pointed out what was obvious.
I kept smirking and shrugged, "Maybe I'm the exception."
"Oh yes cupcake. You're special," She teased even though, in a way, maybe it was really how she felt. Fuck if she'd ever admit that one though. "And to answer your question, I don't have anything about relationships, actually I think it'd be nice to have one...but there are so many downsides."
I laughed, "Maybe your idea of relationship is just like my idea of wedding."
"You know me Nolan, how many men would be okay with my crazy love for work? Or other sides of my personality?" She questioned, being serious for a moment. Most of men didn't like a woman who liked being in charge, or working at night instead of making them dinner. "They'd either bore me to death or leave me."
I laughed again, maybe feeling a little awkward for bringing it up. No wonder we were constantly dancing around serious topics... talking dirty to each other was just a hell of a lot easier. "You have a few valid points, but you still aren't giving yourself enough credit," I said seriously, knowing that she was cocky as hell but still a little bit insecure. Unless you really knew her though? You'd never know it.
She shrugged her shoulders as if dismissing the subject, "I'm not really the stay at home wife type, but what about you? You're just as bad as me."
"True. I am most definitely not wifey material," I joked back while she rolled her eyes.
"That's not what I meant and you know it."
"Am I bad?" I cocked a brow while grinning wider. Was I though? I couldn't even remember the last date I'd been on... so I guess so.
"You have an aversion for weddings," She pointed out with her matter-of-fact face in place.
I resisted the urge to snort or deny it, instead shrugging my shoulders since I think I did say something along those lines once. I wasn't sure what exactly, I couldn't even remember what I wore to work yesterday. "If I get married one day, then I'll be married," I replied. "If I don't? It won't be the end of the world."
"Thank you for making that one clear Captain Obvious," She smirked back at me while I lowered my eyes down her body once more.
"Can we go back to talking about the many ways you use your mouth?" I grinned, thinking about my favorite ways. There were a lot of things to like about Eva, but her ass and those lips topped it. Overall though, she was pretty much the perfect woman, only a little bit cold sometimes.
"Only if we talk about the many ways you use yours too," She said back seriously, staring at me.
I let out what sounded like a mix of a laugh and a snort, "You want to compliment me? Go ahead."
"Did I say they were all good ways?" She questioned, wrinkling her nose, "I don't think so."
"Lies, I'm always good."
"Sometimes I'd appreciate if you talked less," She went on.
"I'm a man of actions instead," I said back, dropping my hand on her ass and giving it a quick squeeze.
"Classy," She grinned at me, loving when I touched her whether she'd admit it or not.
"How about we find an empty room and full around until we here them introducing me," I slid my hands up to her waist, tempted to slide them up to her breasts. I did have some restraint though. Barely, but still.
Eva rolled her eyes, but I could see the sparkle in them that let me know she'd be down for a little fun if I really pushed. And that? That was one of the many reasons we got along so well. I think that my dick was officially in love with her. "Like we were saying before, you can't go up there with an erection..." She trailed off with a grin on her lips, tempting me to kiss her right then and there, in front of the people we worked with and their spouses.
I let out a fake sigh and then smirked, "We should leave now."
"And miss your speech? Never," She shook her head then tilted it to one side, causing her hair to fall over her shoulder.
I pushed it aside and let my fingers linger on her neck, noticing a shiver run through her body. "I thought you said I talked too much, but now you're excited to watch me give a speech? You are the master of mixed signals," I smiled at her, letting my hand cup the back of her neck.
She leaned into my touch, her head tilting back just so slightly to look into my eyes. "I'm the master of many things..." She trailed off, setting her hands on my chest as she shot me an innocent look.
"If you keep giving me that naughty look I'll have an erection no matter what we do," I grinned back at her, stepping closer and using my free hand to pull her against me.
"I don't know what you're talking about," She said quietly as she pressed her lips on mine in a chaste kiss, not worrying about who could see us. If anyone were looking, they'd probably just be jealous. "And yes sometimes you talk too much, but I know what this speech means for your job and I'll make an exception and listen to you."
"You really want to stay, uh?" I asked slowly as I raised one eyebrow.
She shrugged, taking a step back, "Your speech, your choice."
I grinned slowly and shook my head, taking her hand in mine and using my free hand to grab the glass in her other hand and set it on the bar. Tangling our fingers together, I started walking, leading us through the crowd of coworkers, most of them people I had never seen before.
"Where are we going?" She said from beside me, trusting me enough to follow.
"We're leaving," I said simply, never one for public speaking anyways.
Eva laughed but kept up with me pace by pace, "You're missing your speech because of me?"
"Does it surprise you?" I lifted a brow and paused to hold the door open for her, slapping her plump ass as she passed. I liked pushing my limits. If only she could read my mind, she'd probably never speak to me again.
She tossed her head over her shoulder, shooting me a blank stare that confused me. "Yes it does," She commented as we walked towards my car.
I caught up with her, wrapping an arm around her waist and pulling her tiny body against me. "Why?" I asked casually though my eyes were glancing into the neckline of her dress, showing the lack of interest in my own question. Her body was much more interesting.
"Because I wouldn't miss my own speech. It's kind of a big recognition and a way to show-" She started but I pulled back and she cut herself off, watching my brow raise slowly, "What?"
"Don't go all business on me, I already know everything about your work ethics."
She spun on her heels and licked her lips, waiting for me to unlock the car, "Is that a nice way to tell me to shut up?"
I grinned as I noticed the smirk on her face, it kind of being contagious like that. "Nicely put of course." I shrugged my shoulders and unlocked the car, sliding in as Eva did the same.
"Lies," She bit down on her lip and leaned her back against the seat. "You're an asshole instead. There is nothing nice about you."
I held a hand to my heart and frowned, "Ouch. I'm wounded and only a kiss will make it better." She sighed and rolled her eyes but a smile was still tugging at her lips. She thought I was annoying most of the time, but sometimes? I had a feeling she found my personality a mix between charming and cute... she couldn't be sleeping with me only based on my looks. Then again, I was a pretty good looking guy. I kept my frown in place and let my eyes graze her lips, "Is that a no?"
She smirked and shook her head, "You're an idiot."
I shrugged my shoulders and tried resisting the urge to grin back at her, "Probably. I have my moments definitely. You're not answering my question though, is that a no?"
Eva lifted a brow skeptically, trying to guess my angle, "Just a kiss?"
"Just a kiss," I repeated even though it was never just a kiss between the two of us.
"That'd be a first," She commented quietly but leaned into me anyway, setting her hand on my knee as she pressed her lips against mine before pulling back.
"Is that it?" I asked and furrowed my brows together, starting the engine.
"You asked for a kiss only and a kiss is what you got," She said back as she crossed her legs, buckling the safety belt in the meantime as I did the same.
I shook my head, keeping my eyes on the road, "That was too innocent."
I half expected Eva to say something snarky, but she looked out the window instead, "You'll get more when we'll get home."
"Where's home?" I asked from beside her and when she turned her head back to me, I was smirking wide.
"Home is where your heart is," She answered back, a smirk on her own lips. "But that doesn't work on you, or your home would be in your pants," She added in a teasing tone.
I laughed and shook my head as my eyes remained on the road, "If you really thought that I was heartless? You wouldn't be here right now."
"Maybe your huge dick makes up for the fact that you're missing a heart instead," She retorted and I could hear the smirk on her face. Sometimes I could imagine the exact face she was making when she said certain things. Either we were spending too much time together or I was a mind reader.
I resisted the urge to roll my eyes and instead turned into a parking lot, starving since the company party didn't have much for hors d'oeuvres. I was a growing man and needed a little more than day old crab cakes and stale crackers. Apple could certainly afford a steak. "I'm glad you like my penis, god only knows that he enjoys your company," I said smugly, turning my head to grin at her after parking the car.
She lifted a brow at me curiously, "Why'd the car stop?"
"I figured we'd check into a cheap hotel where I can wine and dine you like a queen," I said sarcastically while she rolled her eyes. I swear I'd never get tired of watching her do that. It was her signature move.
"I'm joking. I'm starving. Aren't you?"
"I wouldn't mind a steak," She shrugged nonchalantly, never refusing food. I'd never met a woman who ate as much as her... or one who looked like her for that matter.
I shot her an amused look, my signature smirk on my lips, "Aren't you overdressed for a steak?"
"You're not giving me any other choice, I can't see you taking me to any five starts restaurant," She said back before getting out of the car, waiting for me to do the same then we both walked toward the restaurant. She reached for my hand without any thought, kind of surprising me.
"Are you complaining?" I asked, turning my head in her direction and raising one eyebrow.
She shook her head as we walked into the restaurant which looked pretty depressing, but the smell filling my nostril seemed a good one instead. "Not yet," She grinned, leaning into me and looking tempted to eat me instead. I definitely wouldn't stop her.
I chuckled and broke the locked gaze in favor of scanning the place. It wasn't a dump, but it wasn't exactly the kind of place where I'd order a steak. For ordering steak? It was a five star restaurant or nothing. I'd probably stick to a safe dish here, something like a pasta. "You're brave for eating their steak," I replied.
Eva's mouth fell open but she recovered quickly and grinned, "You're the one who brought me here!"
"If I brought you somewhere nicer, it'd be a date," I shrugged my shoulders, smiling at the hostess who greeted us inside and showed us to our table.
"Is that so bad?" She lifted an eyebrow curiously.
I resisted the urge to grin and kept my face serious instead, "I've already met your parents, who love me by the way. This relationship is moving too fast."
She laughed at my joke and shook her head, "My dad hates you if that makes you feel any better."
"Oh definitely," I said sarcastically, grinning finally. "Thank you for the reality check."
