I watched the boys walking away from the field, a pat on my back breaking my daze. "Why don't you give up? These kids are hopeless." My brother's teasing voice said as he appeared apparently out of nowhere.
"Hi asshole." I smirked at him, not even bothering to pay attention to him. He loved pissing me off and I loved not letting him. "What are you doing here?"
"Troubles with the tiny princess, Adam asked me to pick up Rob." He explained simply with a shrug of his shoulders.
"It must be because I said no." I smirked wider, watching him roll his eyes, "It hurts being the second choice, uh?"

“No Aunt Lila, I'm sleeping over at Robs today!!!” Will said, looking at me like a crazy when I had told him I was here to take him to my place until his mom got off work. I had driven all the way here, and Colbie owed me big time because going to a place where Travis was too? Wasn’t what I really wanted to do. Or it was exactly what I wanted to do and that was why I hated it.

I walked out the meeting with a potential producer and pulled out my phone, noticing I had 5 missed calls from my agent and a few texts from her that said call me.
I walked to my car and before I started it, I called her back, "Why the hell have you been ignoring my calls?!" She yelled into the phone.
I pulled back to alleviate the screaming, but even a few inches away it still hurt my ears, "I was in a meeting with a producer! What's going on?"
"What's going on is that you never told me that you've been screwing Gavin Coopers!!" She yelled and my heart beat quickened and I sat up straighter in my seat.
"Where'd you hear that?" I breathed out.
"I read it! On the cover of People magazine!! Why didn't you tell me Gavin was the reason you went to Chicago?!" She kept yelling but all I could hear was the sound of my heart beating. "Better yet, why didn't you tell me you were dating?!"
"We're not dating." I told her as I placed my forehead on my steering wheel.
"Well from the pictures it definitely looks like the two of you are dating!!" She yelled once more.
"I need to go Alice!" I told her, hanging up on her.
I stuck my key into the ignition and drove towards the first gas station I came across. I put on my sunglasses as I tried to go in covertly and spotted mine and Gavin's faces on the cover of People. Where the hell were the paparazzi hiding?! I didn't think anybody would have know we were in Chicago so I let my guard down. F.uck my life! I grabbed the magazine and set a five in the counter before storming out. In the few minutes that I was in the convenient store someone called the paparazzi and flashes of lights were going off in my face.

I walked past a downtown bakery, noticing a flash of blonde hair and recognizing the culprit instantly. Stopping in front of Chloe Lindsell, I watched as she stared daggers at the chocolate croissant on her plate, looking lost in her thoughts. “What did that croissant ever do to you?”

She looked up at me and her expression changed slightly, almost as if she was caught off guard, “What?”

I was pouting. And I really, really wanted to get wasted off my as.s and forget all about the fact that my best friend was gone, my boyfriend had dumped me without even really saying anything and I didn’t even have my cutie nephew to cheer me up. But I knew better. I was no longer that hot mess. I could deal with my own emotions. Or I could at least eat them away. Hence the bakery. I was sitting at the outdoor table with a flavored latte and chocolate croissant when I heard a voice.

OCTOBER 8TH: Another employee trip has been planned today and we're all heading out to California's Great America amusement park in Santa Clara for our day off - be sure to enjoy all the rides, food, and games.

"Not a bad way to spend a Tuesday, right?" Nolan grinned and glanced sideways at me while I was holding onto my iPhone tightly, as if my life depended on it. And in a way, it did, since I was waiting for an e-mail that could make my bank account a happier one.
I sighed and spared him a quick glance, "What were you saying?"
"I haven't been here since I was 10."
I looked around the theme park and wrinkled her nose, taking a step backwards as a group of kids rushed past us. "Jesus," I breathed out, getting a laugh out of him as my head whipped back in his direction and I glared. "I thought you were from the South?"

I traced slow lines on Julia’s thigh as I looked down at her. “Are you trying to get lucky?” she asked, grinning up at me as I laughed.
“Maybe.” I teased. “Or maybe I just like touching you.” She sighed.
“If other women knew how awesome you were I’d be out of a boyfriend.” She grinned and I nodded.

I sighed. “If other women knew how awesome you were I’d be out of a boyfriend.”
He nodded, “Maybe…they only know how good looking I am, if they knew more maybe they’d try harder.”
I widened my eyes and reached up to bite his shoulder. “Trey!”

“Lila.” I said quietly as I stepped at the doorway of her office, maybe a little too quietly. “Lila.”
“Travis?” She blinked up at me, looking as if I had just woke her up from a dream and she couldn't believe her eyes.
“Your proposal for the app designs is a little hasty.” I said flatly, not bothering to look at her but glancing around the room instead.
She ran her tongue over her lips. “Hasty?”
“The new update was just launched, I don’t think we need to spend the hours and money to redesign things quite yet.”

My mind was having a really, really, REALLY hard time focusing. See I had prepared myself, mentally, physically, emotionally, for the price I would pay having a one night stand with Travis. I knew it would be great and I knew that it would be over. What I didn’t expect was to spend a 3 day weekend exploring a new sexual awakening with the sexiest man on earth. And it wasn’t even just sex which I was prepared for. The way he spoke to me, the way he touched me. It wasn’t the way a man who just wanted to get laid touched and spoke to a woman. I had felt literally treasured for practically 72 hours. My whole body ached. In a fantastic way. I think I gained abs I’d been worked out so hard.

I shot a last glance to Rob before he pulled away from the curb, his car disappearing in less than 3 seconds and leaving me alone in front of my home. I sighed as I fished the key from the pocket of my jeans and opened the door, listening carefully as I stepped inside, no sound coming from anywhere apparently. I reached for my phone immediatly, wondering if Aria had gone out without telling me as I made my way to the living room, and hoping she hadn't because I really really wanted her with me now. My best friend and my assistant were getting married, and I had mixed feelings about it which I didn't know how to handle.
"Seb?" Ar's sweet voice broke the silence and her head popped out from over the couch, her lips curving into a beautiful smile as soon as our eyes met.

"Seb?" My voice broke the silence as I peeked my head out from over the couch, my lips curving into a smile as soon as my eyes met with my mans.
He couldn't help smiling too as he walked over to where I was laying, setting his hands on the back of the couch and bending over to kiss my pink lips. "Hi babe," He said quietly before walking around the couch and sitting next to me. "What were you doing?"

I lifted myself into a sitting position as I glanced at my kindle which was still on the page I was just reading. "I was reading," I answered and leaned into him, my hand reaching for his to wrap an arm around my shoulders as I set my head on his chest. "How was your date with Rob?"

Jake pulled up in front of his parents house and turned towards me. “You ready?”
I nodded as I pouted, looking down at my chest. “My boobs hurt.” I admitted, looking up at him as if he could do anything about that. He couldn't, mostly not now, but I was big on sharing my feelings and sensations, even the silly ones.
“Do you want me to massage them?” He tried not to grin and I broke into a laugh.
“Yeah I'm sure that’ll help.” I shook my head and got out of the car, forgetting that lately everytime I got up too quickly I got dizzy. Like now.
“VI!” He yelled as I swayed and bolted out to grab my waist and pull me into him. Thank god for him.

I pulled up in front of my parents house and turned towards Vi.

“You ready?” she nodded as she pouted, looking down at her chest.

“My boobs hurt.” She admitted, looking up at me with such a sexy cute expression it was hard not to tease her.

“Do you want me to massage them?” I tried not to grin and she broke into a laugh.

“Yeah I'm sure that’ll help.” She shook her head and got out of the car, making me groan because lately every time she stood up too fast she got really dizzy but she kept forgetting to let me help her.

“VI!” I yelled as she swayed and bolted out to grab her waist and pull her into me.

“You’ve got some fast reflexes Jakey.” She grinned, biting her lip and giving me a heated look. Lately her moods could change so fast I wouldn’t know what hit me, she’d be pouting, then coming on to me, then mad at me two seconds later.

“I do.” I grinned. “Are you sure you’re up for this?”

"What the baby bear? Yes." she said before giving up and breaking into a smirk. I shook my head and pulled her against me tighter.

"My family knowing about bean."

"I'm excited.” She nodded. I was too actually, the more real it felt the more terrifying it was but also the more….exciting.

"You'll change your mind when my mom will pass out for the shock." I chuckled and kissed her cute nose.

"Too much happiness you mean." She corrected me, sliding her hands down my chest and gazing into my eyes. She did that a lot lately, probably wondering what our baby’s eyes would look like.

"Speaking of which..."

"Uhm?"

"Can I tell her?" she asked, her teeth taking her bottom lip and looking up at me with a hopeful expression. Cutie.

"You made me worry for a moment." I let out a long breath then smiled, "Of course you can baby, even though I'm sure she'll figure out before you say a word."

"Why?"

"You're too obvious." I explained. "You touch your stomach an awful lot."

"She might think I have a stomachache." Vi shrugged and I laughed. "I'll be careful and keep my hands on you instead." I groaned. That bean was making her mood change so much I barely kept up.

"Yeah right, great idea." She leaned towards me and kissed my lips chastely but seductively.

"You're so hot I'm horny all the time." She muttered against my mouth.

"Vi." I said in a warning tone. She pulled away abruptly as she tugged at my arm, faking an innocent face, "Okay, let's go."

“You kill me.” I shook my head as I muttered under my breath and she set her tongue between her teeth as she looked at me.

“We still haven’t fooled around in your old bedroom.” She winked at me right before the door opened.

“My favorite girl is here!!!” Mom grinned as she wrapped up Vi in a hug.

“Oh thanks mom.” Anna rolled her eyes but I could tell she didn’t care.

“You know you tie for the position.” Mom waved her off as I hugged my sister.

“Long time no see.” She grinned.

“Yeah and I got the tan to prove it. You still look like a ghost.” She smirked and hugged Vi as mom scooped me into a hug, telling her all about the new man who had whisked her away to the Caribbean for weeks.

“How my daughter became such a heart breaker I’ll never know.” Mom shook her head as dad came back up behind her.

“Don’t be so modest babe she got that from you.” Dad kissed her cheek and I shook my head as I smirked. Some things never changed.

“How long are you staying Jacob?” Dad asked, giving me a handshake and a warm smile.

“Just for the weekend.” I nodded. “Work as usual on Monday.”

“We’re glad to have you for any amount of time baby.” Mom grinned, cupping my cheek softly. “Who wants dinner?!” I took a look at Vi, worried she might feel nauseous but she grinned and raised her hand.

“Please! I could eat a horse I'm so hungry.” Mom hit me.

“Have you not been feeding that girl?!” she shook her head and walked towards the kitchen as Vi giggled.

“Hey!” I shook my head as I followed them into the kind of family dinner we used to have growing up. Violet included. It struck me again how much time I wasted not being with her. She’d always been mine. My heart clenched at the thought and I reminded myself to talk to my mom once the excitement died down. I knew she’d be able to see things from a woman’s perspective. I wanted to marry Violet. I had been wrong before but I knew now it would seem like I was doing it for the baby. I just wanted her. The baby was like frosting on the cake.

“Oh my god it looks so good.” Violet said her eyes wide as she looked at the piles of food.

“You’re trying to get me fat.” Anna pouted as she looked up and saw more desserts on the counter.

“Nonsense.” Mom shook her head. “It’s just nice to have lots of people to cook for again.” She kissed my cheek quickly. “I miss having kids around the house.” She sighed and Vi’s eyes sparkled with excitement about our news. God she was so fuc.king cute I was having a hard time not taking her to my room now…..

"Do you miss having chubby Jakey destroying everything?" Vi grinned at mom and I glared at her while the women laughed.

"I can't believe you really called him that." Anna chuckled, looking pretty amused.

"He was a cutie." she smiled as she leaned her body against me and wrapped her arms around my waist, "Still is."

"And so whipped."

"That's what's called love Anna." Phoebe said seriously as she gave her daughter a significant look. My guess was that she didn't exactly like her new boyfriend and I couldn't really blame her. "Plus, Jacob's always been like that with Violet." She added with a shrug.

“ Since when do you all team up against me?" I argued.

"Since we're girls." She grinned and placed a quick kiss on my cheek though I would have preferred her lips on mine, "I'm going to the bathroom."

"Me too." I said quickly, my stomach clenching as I worried about her feeling sick.

"Good god Jake, do you even let her breath alone?" Anna rolled her eyes, crossing her arms against his chest, "What are you going to do? Watch her pee? Romantic." Vi burst out laughing, knowing the truth was far from that.

"I need to wash my hands only." She grinned as I shot a death glare at Anna.
"Ignore her Jake." Mom cut in the conversation, "And hurry, dinner's ready."

“ Are you okay baby?" I asked as we made it to the bathroom, keeping my hand on the small of her back and knowing that Anna was half right, I was clingy and whipped but who cared? The gorgeous woman was having my child I’d act how I wanted.

"Yes, don't worry." she answered softly as she spun on her heels and cupped my cheeks to kiss me quickly, "Bean is behaving."

"Good." I relaxed as she washed her hands and then looked up into my reflection in the mirror.

"When are we going to tell them?"

“Whenever you want, you wanted to tell them.” I smirked as I let my eyes play on her more than ample cleavage.

“Are you checking me out in the mirror?” Vi asked with a knowing smile. I shrugged.

“It happens.”

“You are just because they’re bigger.” I shot her an irritated look.

“Yes because I never checked you out before you got pregnant.” She laughed.

“But now you do more.” She grinned and turned so she was pressing her body up against mine.

“I have the right.” I smirked. “I made them bigger.” I tried not to laugh at my own words as Vi actually cracked up.

“I guess you did.” I reached out and tangled my fingers in her hair as I pulled her face close to mine, about to kiss her before I spoke.

“I'm so lucky to have you Violet. You’re my dream girl. Always.” I pressed my lips against hers, pouring my passion for her into it as she backed up against the bathroom counter.

“Oh god Jakey you kill me.” She choked out against my lips and I grinned before I kissed her nose.

“Let’s tell them now.” I smiled.

“Tell them what?” she asked her eyes slightly foggy and I laughed, loving the effect I had on her. I moved my hand to her stomach and gave it a little tickle.

“Remember the tiny baby?” I asked and her eyes got wide.

“Oh!” she blushed and nodded. “Okay lets tell them….how?” I laughed again.

“You were the one who wanted to tell them, you do it.” I grinned, pulling her towards me to kiss the side of her head.

"I wanted to tell your mom, not to all of them." She protested, looking a little nervous.

“Just pretend it's my mom only." Vi hit me and rolled her eyes.

"So not helping." she turned around and I could feel her mood switching so I reached out for her again and pulled her back against my body, kissing her neck softly.

"Let's not overthing this baby, we'll tell them when the moment feels right." She took a deep breath and I knew my suspicions had been right.

"Okay..." she whispered.

"Breathe." I said quietly and turned her in my arms, cupping her face as I looked at her. Ugh she was so damn pretty. "Think about bean."

“ Bean's making me hungry, let's go." She said, grinning instantly before kissing me quickly.

"Finally!" Anna grinned as we walked back to the room where the family was.

"Sorry." she said quietly as she took a seat at the big table.

"Don't be, I'm sure it's Jake's fault." Dad smirked at her, squeezing her shoulder as he walked to the other side of the table.

"I always take the blame for everything." I sighed before dropping my hand on her thigh.

“Enough talking! We better eat until it's still hot!" Mom waved her hand in the air as she took the seat next to Mom and opposite from Vi. She eyed the food and gave me a look that told me she was starving so I gave her a big piece and she smiled.

"Thanks." She said before going at her food like a starving bear. "It's delicious. You should teach me how to make it." I tried not to laugh since Vi wasn’t much for cooking. Not that I minded, I was more of a take-out guy myself….then again with a baby maybe we’d both have to learn.

"Anytime Vi." She said back, setting her elbows on the table as she started at Violet with a puzzled expression on her face. "Did you do something with your hair? You have something different but I can't put my hand on it...I hope you're not on diet or something!"

"No, my hair's the same." She said flushing and I knew she knew that it was the right time. I squeezed her thigh, feeling happy and proud and excited at the same time. "But yes, there's something different. I'm pregnant." I beamed at Violet, since it was the first time either of us had said it out loud to another person. It made it even more real, but instead of freaking me out like it sometimes did? I felt elated. But I only had about a millisecond to enjoy the feeling before the room burst out in squealing.

“OH MY GOD!!!” Anna’s voice was surprisingly the loudest as she slammed her hands on the table and grinned at us. “I'm going to be the best aunt.” She smirked and I shook my head.

“Yes. My baby is all about you Anna.” I shook my head and at that her face softened.

“Oh my god Jake your baby.” She blinked.

“No Vi got pregnant magically.” I shook my head but before I could come up with another smart comment I felt my moms arms wrap around me and Violet from behind. I hadn’t even noticed her getting up.

“Oh my babies.” She kissed our heads again and again.

“Mom.” I shook my head but I was grinning.

“I should have known, you’re literally glowing Violet.” She smiled. “John did you hear?!” she was practically jumping up and down.

“Our first grandbaby.” I blinked back at my dad. I’d never seen him look choked up before but right now that’s exactly what he looked. “I heard Pheebs.”

“Grandbaby.” Mom sighed and then everyone looked to be about on the verge of tears. Anna was already crying, which had made Violet’s eyes tear up.

“No crying!!!” I shouted, apparently the only reasonably sane person in the house.

“Just you wait Jake.” Dad said softly, grabbing my hand. “Until you meet it.” I blinked at my dad. I’d always been closer to my mom growing up, my dad worked a lot and though we didn’t have a bad relationship we never really had many moments. Until right then. I just nodded, the thought of meeting my son or daughter overwhelming. “My wife is right though Violet, you look positively angelic today.”

‘Jake is right this is a happy occasion!!! Let’s break out the champagne Johnny.” Mom squeeled, singing a song that only had the word grandbaby in it all the way to the fridge.

“Do you know if it’s a boy or a girl yet?” Anna asked as she wiped away her tears. Violet shook her head.

“It’s too soon.”

“Do you have names?”

“Some.” I grinned, reaching over to kiss my girl. She let her lips linger against mine a second before she pulled away and reached for the water and Mom pouted, apparently forgetting that Violet probably shouldn’t have champangne.

“Maybe we shouldn't open this bottle instead."

"It's fine! You really should, I'll be fine with my water." she smiled at her genuinely as she lifted her glass.

"I think I-" Vi glared at me, my girl too proud to let anyone change their normal schedule for her. "I'll take care of it, give it to me."

"We're getting sidetracked here! I want to know names!" Anna was the first to speak again, waking us all from our daze.

"We're not calling it Anna, if that's what you're wondering." Vi smirked at her, reaching for a bowl full of my moms meatballs and filling my plate before handing them to her.

"Bummer." She pouted before breaking into a silly chuckle, "Then what?" I swallowed before pointing my fork to my sister, "You know, I hope my baby is not as impatient as you."

"Because you're so much better right?" she teased, making everyone laugh.

"She knows you too well for your own good." Dad pointed out with an amused expression.

"And you know her too! Violet is never patient." I said back, his eyes bouncing between my parents. She poked my side, smirking with her mouth closed as she chewed the delicious food.

"She'll learn to be." Mom interjected, her voice soft and her eyes full of love. I loved my mom.

"I will!" she nodded, smiling bigger, "With Lily. Or Jackson.”

“Oh my god.” Anna started crying again and I just rolled my eyes.

“Oh my god what? What’s wrong?!” Eric had come into the kitchen and looked worried as he rushed over to our sister.

“Nothing!!” Anna shook her head and then pointed to me and Vi.

“We’re having a baby.” I grinned, happy to share the news myself this time. Eric’s whole face lit up.

“Holy shit that’s awesome!!” he grinned wider and Anna set her hands on Vi’s tummy.

“Don’t curse in front of the baby!!!” she chastised him and Violet laughed as Eric pulled her to her feet to hug her tightly. He walked up to me and took a second, seeming like he was questioning what to do. It had admittedly been awkward since I found out he’d slept with my ex and then started dating her….but he was still my brother, and hey maybe they were meant to be. So I leaned in, giving him a hug which he seemed to relax into before pulling away.

“I'm going to be an uncle!” he grinned. “Uncle Eric.” He nodded. “I like it.” Violet started laughing again and I just shook my head.

“Both my siblings think my child is all about them.” Eric slapped my back.

“Dude you’re gonna be a dad…” he let out a low whistle. “You are old.”

“Shut it.” Violet was still laughing and god if it wasn’t the most beautiful sound in the entire world. I leaned down and kissed her, cupping her face in my hands.

“Hey if there’s no cursing around the baby there’s no making out around it either!!” Eric’s voice interrupted and I rose a brow at him.

“The baby can deal.” I said seriously.

“You missed it! They have names! Jackson for a boy and Lily for a girl.”

“That’s so precious.” Mom said handing Vi a champagne glass. “It’s sparkling cider baby.” She nodded and Vi grinned, clinking her glass with mine.

“Yummy.” She smiled.

“How did you pick them?” Eric asked, sitting down and loading his plate with food.

“Well. Jakey said he wanted another flower name for a girl and I liked Lily best, and if it was a boy I wanted another J name.”

“And I like Jackson best. Jax for short.” I grinned, already seeing both of them slowly growing up in my head. Holy shit. She grinned back at me.

"Why not John instead?" Dad cut in as we all started laughing.

"One John Morgan is enough." I grinned at him before taking a bite of my food.

"I agree there." Mom nodded, sipping her drink and trying to keep a straight face as her husband glared at us.

"We can still have your name for the next baby." Violet smirked and Anna's eyes widened a little.

"Are you already thinking about the next one?" She asked, looking shocked.

"No, god no." I shook my head quickly, answering for us.

"You..." Mom trailed off, looking as if she was picking the right words, "You weren't planning this one, were you?" She asked softly and Violet bit down on her lip, her cheeks getting pink.

“No." I managed to say.

"Don't you make enough money for affording birth control?" Eric cut in with a huge grin on his stupid face.

"It didn't work." She snapped but it didn’t phase Eric who was used to my Violet.

"It would've happened sooner or later anyway, it was just a matter of time." Mom cut into the conversation, loving how she liked to think she always knew everything. And she kind of did.

"True. It was destiny." Vi agreed.

“I think so.” I nodded, smirking as I remembered the day we found out. How I basically had to force her to take the pregnancy test but how finding out had made us so much closer.

“Damn guys didn’t you get together sooner?” Anna asked shaking her head. “You’re perfect together.” Violet beamed at my sister and mom grinned softly.

“There’s a time for everything sweetie.” She replied.

“Yeah but I could be playing with a baby NOW!” she pouted and I shook my head as Vi bit her lip.

“I’ve never seen you play with a baby ever. If I remember correctly you’re scared of babies.” She pointed out, having almost spent more time with Anna then I had, especially when they were both single.

“Those were other peoples kids. Not yours.” She smiled. “Yours will be my favorite.”

“Hey!” Eric protested. “What about mine?”

“Oh is your secret girlfriend pregnant?” Anna asked, raising her brow.

“Andi’s not a secret.” Violet said laughing but the minutes she’d let it out we could tell that it had in fact been a secret.

“Andi?” Anna asked.

“Shi.t” Eric ran his hand through his hair and I blinked at him.

“Dude it’s been months.” I said seriously.

“Andi as in Andrea? As in Jake’s ex-girlfriend?”

“Eric?” My mom looked over at him. Well now everyone was looking over at him.

“Yup, that’s the one. So Violet’s knocked up huh? Does that mean you’re getting married?” he asked pointedly at me, apparently hell bent on bringing everyone down with him. I tensed up and the room went silent as they waited. This was so not the time for this.

"We will get married, just not now." Vi answered for me, being shockingly calm about the question even though I knew it was an issue between us.

"Why not?" He asked as he stared back at us, challenging Vi which was a bad idea since Vi was easily riled and worse now with the hormones. She set her elbows on the table and stared at him in a face of forced calm.

"Because there's a time for everything. But you're not confident with that concept, right?"

"Ouch." Anna interjected, being the only one with the balls to talk.

"Point taken Vi."

"How could you do that Eric? She's Jake's ex." Mom finally spoke, her tone serious and a little disappointed, though oddly not surprised….Eric just shrugged, looking as if he thought it wasn’t a big deal but I could see that he thought it was instead.

"It was destiny." He said, using Vi’s words except him fu.cking my ex while we were dating was not the time to use them.

"Now you're pushing it Eric." I growled at him.

"I'm surprised Jake didn't rip your head off." Anna poited out, bringing her drink to her lips as she looked at them.

"Anna, don't tempt him." Dad shook his head while I wondered the same thing.

"They've already been there." Violet said softly. "I made them reason until they made up." She added, glaring at my brother as if she was regretting that.

“Fu.ck.” Eric shook his head and stared at his plate. “Vi I'm sorry. I feel like a jacka.ss.” He held up a hand to Anna. “I know two more curses in front of the baby sorry.”

“No actually I was going to say you are a jackas.s.” She replied, folding her arms over her chest.

“See this is why I didn’t tell anyone! I didn’t want to be judged until I knew it was going to work out between us.”

“….work out between you?” Dad asked, raising a brow at my brother who, in dad’s defense, had never spent more than a few months with a woman. If that.

“He’s in love with her.” Mom said in a softer voice, not looking at him. We all moved our attention to her and she shrugged. “I told you to get over it the day Jake brought her home Eric.”

“I know.” He ran a hand through his hair again, a nervous habit. “What I did was wrong, but-“

“But Andi and I weren’t meant to be together.” I ended, grabbing Violet’s hand. “Hell maybe I only ever dated Andi so that fate could bring her and Eric together. It was shi.tty that you went after her while we were together-“

“WHILE you were together?!?” Anna shouted and I shot a look at her.

“The guy you just went to the Caribbean with…..he’s for sure not married like the last guy right?” Dad groaned and mom rolled her eyes. “All of us have made relationship mistakes…..but if you’re in love with Andi then I'm happy for you because you deserve to have what mom and dad have, what I have with Violet.” I looked at her and she beamed at me. God she was beautiful. “What Anna has with herself.” I added, breaking the serious note as Vi and mom cracked up and Anna reached for a croissant to throw it at me.

“You are such an as.shole!!” she shouted, but was smirking as Eric nudged her.

“Not in front of the baby!” Vi reached over and pulled me closer.

“I love your family more every second.” She said with a soft sigh.

“They’re your family too babe. You know that.”

"They've always been." she whispered into my ear before pulling out and smiling at me.

"God, looking at you two gets me depressed." Anna cut in with a groan mixed with a sigh, rolling her eyes.

"You're just jealous Annie."

"Don't call me Annie, I hate it!" She protested.

"Excuse me, I need to lay down a moment while you two keep being silly."Vi suddenly announced as she got up.

"Are you okay Violet?" Mom asked, the same worried expression that everyone else wore, even Eric though I had a feeling that was just because of guilt and fear.

"Yes, I'm just a little dizzy. Ten minutes laying down and I'll be perfect again, probably hungry again too."

"It happened to me a lot too when I was pregnant with Jacob." Mom said with a reassuring smile.

"I'm coming with you."I said as Anna got up too.

"No you're not, I am. We need some girl time." She said seriously, making Vi laugh. I rolled my eyes but I guess letting them talk wouldn’t be all that bad so I leaned in to kiss her cheek softly.

"If you need something scream." I added in a teasing tone.

"Sure." she grinned back before leaving.

“Did you have to rile her up like that?” I glared at my brother.

“It wasn’t me who just outed me to the whole family.” He narrowed his eyes.

“What is it about that Andi girl?” Dad asked.

“Don’t talk about her that way.” Eric snapped quickly and mom shook her head.

“Oh Eric if only you’d just met her first.”

“Oh yeah I never thought that mom, all I needed to do was build a time machine and meet her first!!”

“Hey, look we got over this once, I don’t want to get pissed about it again. I understand that you love her, trust me I’d do anything for Violet….even steal her from you if I had to.” Eric looked like he was about to make some kind of sarcastic comment, but as I glared at him he softened. Which made me happy since my life was way too great right now to worry about being pissed at my dumbass of a brother.

“I'm going to go check on Vi.” I said finally before walking up to Anna’s bedroom. "Were you talking behind my back already?" I joked, sitting behind Vi and pulling her into my arms, stroking her silky hair softly as she cuddled me back.

"We were about to."

“Well the jokes on you because I talk about you behind your back all the time.” I said, trying not to grin.

“He does.” Anna nodded. “Violet is so perfect, Violet is so gorgeous, how lucky am I to be with Violet?!” she said in a sing-songy voice before fake gagging.

“You sound whipped Jakey bear.” Vi whispered before pressing her lips against mine.

“Please don’t call me that in front of my sister.” I asked wincing as Anna giggled.

“Oops.” I pulled her closer and set my hand on her stomach with hers under mine.

“Are you feeling better?”

“Much. Thank you.” She nodded and I moved one hand to push her hair out of her face.

“Are you hungry?” Vi wrinkled her nose.

“Maybe.”

“So do you want a boy or a girl?” Anna asked, grinning and setting her head in her hands, looking dreamy and adorable like I hadn’t seen her in a while.

“Boy” Violet said as the same time I said “Girl”

“Ohh.” She laughed. “Well maybe you’ll get both!”

“Oh god….I think one is enough for now.” Vi cringed. “That alone gives me a panic attack every other day.”

“What are you talking about? You’ll be a great mom.” She grinned and Vi blinked at her.

“Anna you knew me before Jake remember?”

“Yeah well everyone’s allowed to have their crazy stupid slu.tty days.” I rose a brow at my love and she bit her lip and shrugged.

“Did you just call my girlfriend slu.tty?”

“You were too Jakey Bear.” Anna replied, breaking into a fit of giggles and making Vi start laughing too.

“I change my mind. I want a boy too, I'm surrounded by way too much estrogen.” I said shaking my head.

"Lies, you like being surrounded by girls instead." Anna retorted, smirking at me

"You have no idea." Vi said flatly even though the only girls besides my mother I liked hanging around with were with me now.

"Thanks Anna." I glared at her, tensing as I worried about Vi’s mood.

"Please, he's done being a little s.lut, he has eyes for you only Vi." Anna said seriously, furrowing her brows, "Always had actually." She added with a chuckle.

"I know." Vi sighed as I relaxed again. "My baby bear is mine only."

"Baby bear!" Anna echoed Vi before breaking into a loud laugh while I just shook my head.

"Am I missing all the fun?" Eric's voice broke into the room as he walked in, a smile on his face and his hands on his hips. "Can I join the party?" Vi curled into my body, not even looking at him. Meh.

"Yes please, these two are destroying me, I need another guy so that we can be even at least." I grinned, moving my hand up and down Vi’s side.

"Even? You wish. We girls are are so much better than you boys." Anna said simply.

"I hope your baby is a boy, I couldn't stand another Anna." Eric said back.

"Not happening." I shook my head. “It's our baby, even if she's a girl she'll be adorable, just like her mom."

"Or like you Jakey bear." Anna retorted with a huge grin on her face before winking at me and making Vi smile.

“Jakey bear.” Eric smirked and I shot him a glare which didn’t do anything, but then Vi shot him one too and that shut him up.

“Hey Vi, I'm really sorry I took out my anger on you. It wasn’t your fault the family didn’t know about Andi….how could you?” Vi blinked.

“Hmm.” She looked at her nail bed and licked her lips but Eric was just about as stubborn as my girl so he sat down on the bed.

“Come on Vi don’t hold a moment’s weakness against me.”

“Are you talking about today or about Andi in general?” she asked back, hitting hard but it wasn’t as if he didn’t deserve it. But Eric didn’t even flinch.

“Today. I don’t regret what happened with Andi.”

“No?” Vi asked, still not ready to let it go. Not that I blamed her.

“I regret the timing. But I am sorry about today.”

“I stood up for you.” She reminded him. He nodded.

“And I didn’t deserve it then, hell I probably still don’t.” she licked her lips.

“You don’t.” she agreed.

“Vi…not that I don’t think Eric’s behavior is worthy of a good as.s whooping-“ Anna started, glaring at our brother. “But I’ve never seen him actually apologize like that.” She sighed.

“We’re okay….for now.” Vi ended, licking her lips and Eric leaned in to kiss her cheek softly.

“You’re like my sister Vi. I couldn’t stand it if you hated me.”

“She doesn’t hate you.” I rolled my eyes, Vi might be a hardas.s but she loved harder than anyone I knew and she felt about my family they way they felt about her. Faults and all.

“Yet.” Vi added,, patting her stomach. “I'm hungry again!”

"There's still plenty of food downstairs. All you have to do is get up."

"But this bed is so comfy, I don't want to." Vi protested in a silly voice though I could tell she looked exhausted. Anna broke into a chuckle as she looked at me,

"I know that feeling...and I'm not even pregnant." Eric ignored his sister and raised one eyebrow at me instead, an amused expression on his face,

"Is she always like this?"

"Hey!" Vi narrowed her eyes on him. I had to admit, Eric had balls to mess with her just when they’d gotten good….but then she grinned. "Sometimes I'm even worse."

"I'm not going to argue about that." I said seriously and she pinched my side hard, making me laugh,

"I'm joking."

"No you're not." she retorted flatly as she lifted her back off the bed regretfully. "Give me a piggyback ride."

"What?!"

"It's not like you never did before." Eric smirked as he shook his head, already halfway out the room.
Anna got up from the bed,

"We all grew up together, remember?" She said in a teasing voice before following Eric. Vi grinned at me and I was happy she was happy because that was all I cared about really.

"Our bean will be so lucky to be part of this family." I nodded and kicked the door shut with my foot before hovering over Violet and kissing up her neck slowly.

“Mmmm…Jake what are you doing?!”

“I'm getting back at Anna for using my room when she brought guys over because her’s shares a wall with mom and dad’s.” I replied, sliding my hand up her shirt.

“Oh my god how old are you?!” I grinned down at her.

“Old enough to have a quality woman like you to fool around with.” I teased and pressed a kiss against her stomach.

“Jakey!” she wiggled underneath me and I grinned down at her.

“Are you turning me down?” she blinked as if she was thinking about it.

“No.” she smiled, biting down on her lip and looking so much like the girl I’d wanted in high school my heart ached. “But making out only, I'm not going all the way tonight.” She tried not to laugh and failed miserably.

“I think it’s a little too late for that.” I replied, kissing her stomach again before making my way back to her lips. “I'm at least getting some under the shirt action.” Violet shook her head.

“They’re going to know what we’re up to….” She trailed off.

“You’re pregnant Vi. I think our secret is out.” She grinned and wrapped her arms around me.

“Just get to the kissing part before I change my mind.” She didn’t have to ask me twice for that…

I swallowed my last bite of burger as I looked around the pub, my eyes landing on couples, groups of friends, families even, a few girls returning my glance with a smile and men not even noticing the way their women looked at me. The place was crowded and I could see why, their food was simple but good and they had a wide choice of drinks for late customers.
The door swung open and my gaze went there, Lila appearing like a vision with her hair moving over her shoulders, her bare legs looking never ending from under her skirt as she walked to the counter and leaned against it to smile at the guy behind it. I watched her closely while I downed a sip of beer, the guy smiling back at her and accepting a kiss on his cheek. I hadn't been able to see the resemblance before but now it was clear that he had to be one of her many brothers. She turned around the scan the room and, when she saw me, her expression changed before she said something to the men and next thing I knew she was heading to my table. Part of me was pleased to see her in all her holy hotness, but her view wasn't enough for my man needs.

I made my way into Trenton’s pub and saw Kolton cleaning glasses at the bar. He grinned at me and I leaned into kiss him on the cheek.

“Hey Kolt.” I smiled.
