Jake pulled up in front of his parents house and turned towards me. “You ready?”
I nodded as I pouted, looking down at my chest. “My boobs hurt.” I admitted, looking up at him as if he could do anything about that. He couldn't, mostly not now, but I was big on sharing my feelings and sensations, even the silly ones.
“Do you want me to massage them?” He tried not to grin and I broke into a laugh.
“Yeah I'm sure that’ll help.” I shook my head and got out of the car, forgetting that lately everytime I got up too quickly I got dizzy. Like now.
“VI!” He yelled as I swayed and bolted out to grab my waist and pull me into him. Thank god for him.

“VI!” He yelled as I swayed and bolted out to grab my waist and pull me into him. Thank god for him.
“You’ve got some fast reflexes Jakey.” I grinned, biting my lip and giving him a heated look since the thought alone of how strong he was turned me on.
“I do.” He grinned. “Are you sure you’re up for this?”
I furrowed my brows, even though it was just silly, "What the baby bear? Yes." I said before giving up and breaking into a smirk.
He smirked with me and shook his head as he kept holding me against his warm body, there were I belonged to. "My family knowing about bean."
"I'm excited." I nodded, being nothing but honest with him. I had wanted to tell them since we had found out, because truth was I felt them closer to me than my real family was. It didn't even upset me anymore, I considered myself lucky to have them in my life instead.
"You'll change your mind when my mom will pass out for the shock." He chuckled and kissed my nose, making me wrinkle it like I always did.
"Too much happiness you mean." I corrected him as I slid my hands down his hard chest and looked into his green eyes. God I wished our baby had his eyes. And his hair. And his everything, because my Jakey was really a perfect human being. "Speaking of which..."
He raised one eyebrow, "Uhm?"
"Can I tell her?" I asked and bit down on my lip, feeling stupid but hey, I really really wanted that. She wasn't just Jake's mom, she had been an important woman in my life too and she still was.
"You made me worry for a moment." He let out a long breath then smiled, "Of course you can baby, even though I'm sure she'll figure out before you say a word."
I frowned at him, "Why?"
"You're too obvious." He explained and slid his hands down my arms to take my hands in his as I gave him a puzzled look. "You touch your stomach an awful lot."
"She might think I have a stomachache." I shrugged and he laughed. "I'll be careful and keep my hands on you instead." I added, winking at him.
He groaned, "Yeah right, great idea."
I pressed my body hard against his, kissing his lips, "You're so hot I'm horny all the time." I muttered against his mouth.
"Vi." He said in a warning tone. My poor bear, I was driving him nuts.
I pulled away abruptly as I tugged at his arm, faking an innocent face, "Okay, let's go."
“You kill me.” Jake shook his head as he muttered under his breath and I set my tongue between my teeth as I looked at him.
“We still haven’t fooled around in your old bedroom.” I winked at him right before the door opened.
“My favorite girl is here!!!” Phoebe, Jake's mom, grinned as she wrapped up me in a hug.
“Oh thanks mom.” Anna rolled her eyes, even thought she didn't really care. There was no competition between us, but she was a silly girl, just like his brother.
“You know you tie for the position.” Mom waved her off as Jake hugged his sister.
“Long time no see.”
She grinned. “Yeah and I got the tan to prove it. You still look like a ghost.” She smirked and hugged me as their mom scooped him into a hug while Anna was busy telling me all about the new man who had whisked her away to the Caribbean for weeks.
“How my daughter became such a heart breaker I’ll never know.” Phoebe shook her head as John came back up behind her.
“Don’t be so modest babe she got that from you.” He kissed his wife's cheek and I caught Jake shook his head as he smirked. His parents were an adorable couple.
“How long are you staying Jacob?” His dad asked, giving him a handshake and a warm smile.
“Just for the weekend.” Jake nodded. “Work as usual on Monday.”
“We’re glad to have you for any amount of time baby.” His mom grinned, cupping his cheek softly. “Who wants dinner?!”
My boyfriend took a look at me, probably worried since my relationship with food was being complicated at the moment, but I grinned and raised my hand instead. “Please! I could eat a horse I'm so hungry.”
Phoebe hit him. “Have you not been feeding that girl?!” She shook her head and walked towards the kitchen as I giggled.
“Hey!” Jake shook his head as he followed us into the kind of family dinner we used to have growing up, me included. It all felt so warm, so natural, as if my place had always been where my Jakey was, even long before I had realized.
“Oh my god it looks so good.” I said, her eyes wide as I looked at the piles of food.
“You’re trying to get me fat.” Anna pouted as she looked up and saw more desserts on the counter.
“Nonsense.” Phoebe shook her head. “It’s just nice to have lots of people to cook for again.” She kissed Jake's cheek quickly. “I miss having kids around the house.” She sighed.
I tried not to smile too wide, but it was hard. I was already picturing our bean being with us, only, since I didn't know if it was a he or a she, I imagined two blonde heads running around like crazy. "Do you miss having chubby Jakey destroying everything?" I grinned at her, focusing on old memories instead of the ones that still had to be made.
He narrowed her gaze on me, but when both Anna and Phoebe laughed, he glared at them too. I didn't mind sharing. "I can't believe you really called him that." Anna chuckled, looking pretty amused.
"He was a cutie." I smiled as I leaned my body against my boyfriend, sneaking my arm around his waist, "Still is."
"And so whipped." She pointed out, reasing one eyebrow at his brother as she teased him.
"That's what's called love Anna." Phoebe said seriously as she gave her daughter a significant look. My guess was that she didn't exactly like her new boyfriend and I couldn't really blame her. "Plus, Jacob's always been like that with Violet." She added with a shrug.
His mouth dropped open, his eyes wide and staring at his mom, "Since when do you all team up against me?"
"Since we're girls." I grinned and placed a quick kiss on his scruffy cheek before pulling away, "I'm going to the bathroom."
"Me too." He said hurriedly.
"Good god Jake, do you even let her breath alone?" Anna rolled her eyes, crossing her arms against his chest, "What are you going to do? Watch her pee? Romantic."
At that I burst into a laugh, because Jake wasn't like that of course. I could tell where his thoughts were, he wasn't the kind of guy who followed his girlfriend everywhere, he was now because I was pregnant and bathroom had become the place where I usually ran when I got sick. So he was just worried. "I need to wash my hands only." I said through I was still grinning, while my bear looked as if he was about to kill his sister.
"Ignore her Jake." Phoebe cut in the conversation, just like it happened when they were kids. "And hurry, dinner's ready."
He glared at Anna one last time before escorting me to the bathroom. "Are you okay baby?" He asked in a low voice, keeping his hand on the small of my back as we walked into the room. We couldn't get any closer than this even if we tried, there were no secrets, no taboos, no things that ashamed us.
"Yes, don't worry." I answered softly as I spun on my heels and cupped his cheeks to kiss him quickly, "Bean is behaving."
He let out a long breath, his whole body relaxing, "Good." He nodded, smiling back at him.
I washed my hands as I kept my eyes on him through the reflection of the mirror, "When are we going to tell them?" I asked, wondering when it'd be the better time. After desserts maybe?
“Whenever you want, you wanted to tell them.” Jake smirked as he let his eyes play on my more than ample cleavage.
“Are you checking me out in the mirror?” I asked with a knowing smile.
He shrugged. “It happens.”
“You are just because they’re bigger.”
He shot me an irritated look. “Yes because I never checked you out before you got pregnant.”
I laughed at his sudden annoyance and wondered if my hormones were affecting his moods too. “But now you do more.” I grinned and turned so I was pressing my body up against his.
“I have the right.” He smirked. “I made them bigger.” He tried not to laugh at his own words as I actually cracked up.
“I guess you did.”
He reached out and tangled his fingers in my hair as he pulled my face close to his, about to kiss me before he spoke. “I'm so lucky to have you Violet. You’re my dream girl. Always.” He pressed his lips against mine, pouring his passion for me into it as I backed up against the bathroom counter. Sometimes, he made me dizzy with so much love.
“Oh god Jakey you kill me.” I choked out against his lips.
He grinned before he kissed my nose. “Let’s tell them now.” He smiled.
“Tell them what?” I asked, my eyes slightly foggy and he laughed, loving the effect he had on me.
He moved his hand to my stomach and gave it a little tickle. “Remember the tiny baby?” I asked and my eyes got wide.
“Oh!” I blushed and nodded. “Okay lets tell them….how?”
He laughed again. “You were the one who wanted to tell them, you do it.” He grinned, pulling me towards him to kiss the side of my head.
I frowned as I stared at him, "I wanted to tell you mom, not to all of them." I protested because I didn't know exactly how you broke that kind of news.
He shrugged but kept grinning, "Just pretend it's my mom only."
I hit his chest lightly, rolling my eyes, "So not helping." I turned away from him as I started for the door. Wasn't he supposed to brainstorm with me? It was his family after all. Plus I was dangerously close to one of my swings of mood. Oh boy.
His hands reached for me once again and he pulled me against him my back hitting his chest as I felt his lips on my neck. "Let's not overthing this baby, we'll tell them when the moment feels right."
I took a deep breath, hating that I was perfectly calm a moment and super nervous the next one. "Okay..." I whispered.
"Breath." He said quietly and turned me into his arms, cupping my face as he looked at me in that way that always made me melt. "Think about bean."
At that I broke into a wide smile before I kissed him. "Bean's making me hungry, let's go." I said against his lips before I pulled away, taking his hand in mine because I always needed some kind of contact with him.
"Finally!" Anna grinned as we walked back to the room where Jake's family was.
I bounced my eyes from her to Phoebe and to John, smiling, "Sorry." I said quietly as I took a seat at the big table, noticing how there was something missing. More like someone. Eric.
"Don't be, I'm sure it's Jake's fault." John's smirked at me, squeezing my shoulder as he walked to the other side of the table.
"I always take the blame for everything." My silly bear sighed as he sat next to me, then dropped his hand on my thigh to squeeze it.
Phoebe glanced up and shook her head even though I could tell she was amused. "Enough talking! We better eat until it's still hot!" She waved her hand in the air as she took the seat next to John and opposite from me.
I eyed the meatloaf next to Jake, then glanced at him and smirked, that enough for him to give me a piece. God how much I loved him. "Thanks." I said quietly before attacking my food, tempted to moan for how good it was. "It's delicious. You should teach me how to make it." I said honestly to Phoebe, kind of getting worried because moms were supposed to cook and I was a disaster kind of. I had never thought about that before.
"Anytime Vi." She said back, setting her elbows on the table as she started at me with a puzzled expression on her face. "Did you do something with your hair? You have something different but I can't put my hand on it...I hope you're not on diet or something!"
"No, my hair's the same." I shook my head as I bit down on my lip, feeling my cheeks flush because I knew this was the moment. And I was so excited that I felt as if my heart was about to jump out my chest, Jake had to sense it too since his hand squeezed my leg harder. "But yes, there's something different. I'm pregnant."
He beamed at me, since it was the first time either of us had said it out loud to another person. It made it more real, but also less real, if that made any sense. It was as if I was living in a bubble, disconnected to reality because I was too focused on my bear and our baby, only the room bursting out in squealing woke me from my daze.
“OH MY GOD!!!” Anna’s voice was surprisingly the loudest as she slammed her hands on the table and grinned at us. Was she drunk already? Good god I almost had a heart attack. “I'm going to be the best aunt.” She smirked.
Jake shook his head. “Yes. My baby is all about you Anna.” His baby?! Our baby!!!
At that her face softened. “Oh my god Jake your baby.” She blinked and I rolled my eyes, even though no one noticed. Only John whose eyes were on me and he was looking seriously moved. I smiled at him and got a warm smile back that nearly made me cry. How much I loved this family, I couldn't even start explaining it.
“No Vi got pregnant magically.” Jake shook his head but before he could come up with another smart comment his mom's arms wrap around me and him from behind.
“Oh my babies.” She kissed our heads again and again.
“Mom.” He shook his head again but was grinning, while I felt dizzy instead.
“I should have known, you’re literally glowing Violet.” She smiled. “John did you hear?!” She was practically jumping up and down.
“Our first grandbaby.” He said slowly and Jake blinked back at him. “I heard Pheebs.”
“Grandbaby.” Phoebe sighed and then everyone looked to be about on the verge of tears. Anna was already crying, which had made my eyes tear up. I didn't want to cry though, it was all their fault. Oh ah my hormones.
“No crying!!!” Jake shouted, almost making me deaf. He needed a camomile.
“Just you wait Jake.” His dad said softly, grabbing his hand. “Until you meet it.”
He blinked at him, surprised both by his words and his gesture. It wasn't like the two weren't close, but John worked a lot and they rarely ever had moments for themselves, even when he was little. My bear just nodded. “My wife is right though Violet, you look positively angelic today.” He added as he offered another of his warm smiles and I swear I was this close to get up and go hug him because he was an adorable man.
"Jake is right this is a happy occasion!!! Let’s break out the champagne Johnny.” Phoebe squeeled, singing a song that only had the word grandbaby in it all the way to the fridge.
“Do you know if it’s a boy or a girl yet?” Anna asked as she wiped away her tears.
I shook my head. “It’s too soon.”
“Do you have names?”
“Some.” Jake grinned, reaching over to kiss me.
I let my lips linger against his a second before I pulled away and reached for the water. I felt like passing out and I needed to drink. In the same moment Phoebe walked back to the table, noticing my glass and frowning, "Maybe we shouldn't open this bottle instead."
"It's fine! You really should, I'll be fine with my water." I smiled at her genuinely as I lifted my glass.
"I think I-" Jake started and I already knew where he wanted to go with that. There was no way he'd skip champagne because of me. It was bean we were celebrating and he, like a good dad, would drink. I glared at him, that enough for him to change his intentions. "I'll take care of it, give it to me."
She nodded as she gave him the bottle, an unreal silence filling the room. "We're getting sidetracked here! I want to know names!" Anna was the first to speak again, waking us all from our daze.
"We're not calling it Anna, if that's what you're wondering." I smirked at her, reaching for a bowl full of yummy meatballs and filling my plate before handing them to her.
"Bummer." She pouted before breaking into a silly chuckle, "Then what?"
Jake swallowed before pointing his fork to her sister, "You know, I hope my baby is not as impatient as you."
I smirked at my boyfriend, "Because you're so much better right?" I teased him, making both John and Phoebe laugh.
"She knows you too well for your own good." John pointed out with an amused expression on his still handsome face. I could see Jake at his age, handsome just like his dad.
"And you know her too! Violet is never patient." He said back, his eyes bouncing between his parents.
I poked his side, smirking with my mouth closed as I chewed the delicious food. "She'll learn to be." Phoebe interjected, her voice soft and her eyes full of love. This woman believed in me, just like her son, and I could only wish I'd be a good mom as she was.
"I will!" I nodded, smiling bigger, "With Lily. Or Jackson."
“Oh my god.” Anna started crying again and I just rolled my eyes. Really? Why her emotions where all over the place?!
“Oh my god what? What’s wrong?!” Eric had come into the kitchen and looked worried as he rushed over to his sister. I didn't even know he was home.
“Nothing!!” Anna shook her head and then pointed to me and Jake.
“We’re having a baby.” He grinned, happy to share the news himself this time.
Eric’s whole face lit up. “Holy shit that’s awesome!!” He grinned wider and Anna set her hands on my tummy.
“Don’t curse in front of the baby!!!” She chastised him and I laughed as Eric pulled me to my feet to hug me tightly, more like squeezing me. The Morgan boys, all so strong and full of love.
He walked up to his brother and took a second, seeming like he was questioning what to do. It had admittedly been awkward since Jake found out he’d slept with that bitch of his ex and then started dating her, but he was still his brother and I had done everything I could to make them make up. Jake leaned in eventually, giving him a hug which he seemed to relax into before pulling away.
“I'm going to be an uncle!” He grinned, looking thrilled. “Uncle Eric.” He nodded. “I like it.”
I started laughing again and Jake just shook his head. “Both my siblings think my child is all about them.”
Eric slapped his back. “Dude you’re gonna be a dad…” He let out a low whistle. “You are old.”
“Shut it.” My bear retorted while I was still laughing, high on my own happiness. He leaned down and kissed me, out of nowhere, cupping my face in his hands.
“Hey if there’s no cursing around the baby there’s no making out around it either!!” Eric’s voice interrupted and Jake rose a brow at him.
“The baby can deal.” He said seriously.
“You missed it! They have names! Jackson for a boy and Lily for a girl.”
“That’s so precious.” Mom said handing me a champagne glass. “It’s sparkling cider baby.” She nodded and I grinned, clinking her glass with Jake's.
“Yummy.” I smiled.
“How did you pick them?” Eric asked, sitting down and loading his plate with food.
“Well. Jakey said he wanted another flower name for a girl and I liked Lily best, and if it was a boy I wanted another J name.” I explained.
“And I like Jackson best. Jax for short.” Jake grinned, a dreamy expression on his face.
I grinned back at him, feeling so weird...a good weird though. I couldn't wait to find out about the baby, and of course I was dying to have it with us. Sometimes I felt as if time went by so slowly, then there were moments where it seemed like I was going to pop out the baby tomorrow. "Why not John instead?" Jake's dad cut in before I could say anything, furrowing his brows as the whole room broke into a laugh.
"One John Morgan is enough." Jake grinned at him before taking a bite of his food.
"I agree there." Phoebe nodded, sipping her drink and trying to keep a straight face as her husband glared at him.
I swallowed and licked my lips, "We can still have your name for the next baby." I smirked.
Anna's eyes widened a little. "Are you already thinking about the next one?" She asked, looking shocked but really, she was just too silly.
"No, god no." Jake shook his head quickly, answering for me. We still didn't know how it'd be to have a son or a daughter, and even if we both wanted more than one, now it was better to focus on the present and not to a future we couldn't really plan.
A thoughtful expression crossed Phoebe's face as her eyes bounced between me and Jakey. "You..." She trailed off, looking as if she was picking the right words, "You weren't planning this one, were you?"
I bit down on my lip, a little embarrassed to be honest. We were all grown up people and it was obvious that none of us was a virgin, but still. "No." I managed to say.
"Don't you make enough money for affording birth control?" Eric cut in with a huge grin on his face, looking at his brother and being the usual idiot.
"It didn't work." I retorted sharply, narrowing my eyes on him and getting defensive before I could even realize it. I might be a flower, but I turned into a bear when someone messed with my love.
Eric wasn't impressed though and kept smirking as he filled his mouth with a forkful of salad. "It would've happened sooner or later anyway, it was just a matter of time." Phoebe cut into the conversation, saying those words as if it was obvious that Jake and I would start a family. It still surprised me how it had always been obvious for them that we would've ended up together.
At that I smiled, reaching for my boyfriend's hand and squeezing it, "True. It was destiny."
“I think so.” Jake nodded, smirking and making me melt. It was crazy how a pregnancy test had brought us even closer than before.
“Damn guys didn’t you get together sooner?” Anna asked shaking her head. “You’re perfect together.”
I beamed at her and their mom grinned softly. “There’s a time for everything sweetie.” She replied, being as wise as always. If only I was at least half wise as she was.
“Yeah but I could be playing with a baby NOW!” Anna pouted and Jakey shook his head.
I bit my lip. “I’ve never seen you play with a baby ever. If I remember correctly you’re scared of babies.” I pointed out, having almost spent more time with Anna then Jake had, especially when we were both single.
“Those were other peoples kids. Not yours.” She smiled. “Yours will be my favorite.”
“Hey!” Eric protested. “What about mine?”
“Oh is your secret girlfriend pregnant?” Anna asked, raising her brow.
“Andi’s not a secret.” I said laughing but the minutes I’d let it out we could tell that it had in fact been a secret. Oh my god me and my mouth.
“Andi?” Anna asked.
“Shit” Eric ran his hand through his hair and Jake blinked at him.
“Dude it’s been months.” He said seriously.
“Andi as in Andrea? As in Jake’s ex-girlfriend?”
“Eric?” Phoebe looked over at him. Well now everyone was looking over at him.
“Yup, that’s the one. So Violet’s knocked up huh? Does that mean you’re getting married?” He asked pointedly at Jake, bringing up the only one subject he shouldn't have. What a jerk.
I noticed how every single muscle of Jake's body tensed, silence falling in the room since they were all waiting for an answer. "We will get married, just not now." I said, staring at Eric and hating him with all myself. One one hand I wanted to dig myself a whole and hide, but on the other? Damn, I had been the one who made him and that skank happen, also I was the reason why Jacob was still talking to him and that was how he was paying me back? I felt Jake's eyes on me, my heart starting beating faster since marriage was still a touchy subject. We didn't talk about it anymore and I was fine with that, I didn't want to hurry things or walk down the aisle just because I was pregnant now...Jake had wanted to wait when I had proposed and only now I realized how he had been right all along.
"Why not?" He asked as he stared back at me, challening me and making a really bad decision. Not only I never lost, but I was great at holding grudges.
I set my elbows on the table, not even blinking, "Because there's a time for everything. But you're not confident with that concept, right?"
"Ouch." Anna interjected, being the only one with the balls to talk. Jake, John and Phoebe still looked too shocked. "Point taken Vi."
"How could you do that Eric? She's Jake's ex." Phoebe finally spoke, her tone serious and a little disappointed too. She had thought her guys better than stabbing each other's back, only sometimes people made mistakes no matter what.
He just shrugged, as if it was no big deal, "It was destiny." He said, using my own words but in such a twisted way that I wanted to get up and slap him. I also wanted to cry, a lot, because I had ruined everything by saying the only thing I shouldn't have said.
"Now you're pushing it Eric." Jake growled at his brother, his expression hard.
"I'm surprised Jake didn't rip your head off." Anna poited out, bringing her drink to her lips as she looked at them.
"Anna, don't tempt him." John shook his head while I wondered what Jake's parents thought about Andi.
"They've already been there." I said quietly, biting down on my lip and trying to keep my emotions in check, staring at my now empty plate as I set my free hand on my tummy. "I made them reason until they made up." I added as I glanced up a moment to shoot Eric a significant look. What an ungrateful little shit. I was starting to get a feeling, one I hadn't had in weeks, that bad anxiousness which only meant one thing. I was afraid that Jake was upset now for some reason and that we'd end up fighting. I was also afraid I'd throw up on the table.
“Fuck.” Eric shook his head and stared at his plate. “Vi I'm sorry. I feel like a jackass.” He held up a hand to Anna. “I know two more curses in front of the baby sorry.”
“No actually I was going to say you are a jackass.” She replied, folding her arms over her chest while I thought that his apology meant nothing. He wasn't 15, he should've been thought twice before talking and even if now I wasn't going to say anything now I knew I'd hold a grudge for quite a long time. I couldn't help it, it was how I was.
“See this is why I didn’t tell anyone! I didn’t want to be judged until I knew it was going to work out between us.”
“….work out between you?” John asked, raising a brow at his son who, in his dad’s defense, had never spent more than a few months with a woman. If that.
“He’s in love with her.” Phoebe said in a softer voice, not looking at him. We all moved our attention to her and she shrugged. “I told you to get over it the day Jake brought her home Eric.”
“I know.” He ran a hand through his hair again, a nervous habit. “What I did was wrong, but-“
“But Andi and I weren’t meant to be together.” Jake ended, grabbing my hand. “Hell maybe I only ever dated Andi so that fate could bring her and Eric together. It was shitty that you went after her while we were together-“
“WHILE you were together?!?” Anna shouted and Jake shot a look at her.
“The guy you just went to the Caribbean with…..he’s for sure not married like the last guy right?” Jake retorted while John groaned and Phoebe rolled her eyes. “All of us have made relationship mistakes…..but if you’re in love with Andi then I'm happy for you because you deserve to have what mom and dad have, what I have with Violet.” He looked at me and I beamed at him. I loved thinking that we were like his parents, but Andi and Eric? They weren't in our same category. “What Anna has with herself.” He added, breaking the serious note as Phoebe and I cracked up and Anna reached for a croissant to throw it at him. Such a waste.
“You are such an asshole!!” She shouted, but was smirking as Eric nudged her.
“Not in front of the baby!”
I reached over and pulled my baby closer. “I love your family more every second.” I said with a soft sigh.
“They’re your family too babe. You know that.”
"They've always been." I whispered into his ear before pulling out and smiling at him, staring into his gorgeous eyes. The more I looked at him the more in love I fell, it was crazy.
"God, looking at you two gets me depressed." Anna cut in with a groan mixed with a sigh, rolling her eyes.
Jake let out a small laugh as his eyes left mine to glance at his sister. "You're just jealous Annie."
She snorted this time, "Don't call me Annie, I hate it!" She protested.
I smiled, being careful not even glancing at Eric whose eyes I could feel on me. "Excuse me, I need to lay down a moment while you two keep being silly." I announced as I got up.
"Are you okay Violet?" Phoebe asked as she furrowed her brows at me, John's expression mirroring hers.
I nodded and smiled, "Yes, I'm just a little dizzy. Ten minutes laying down and I'll be perfect again, probably hungry again too." I explained with a chuckle since it was how it was these days. It freaked me out at the beginning while now I was used to it.
"It happened to me a lot too when I was pregnant with Jacob." She said with a reassuring smile.
"I'm coming with you." My bear got up, but Anna did too, narrowing her eyes on him.
"No you're not, I am. We need some girl time." She said seriously, making me laugh.
He rolled his eyes but smirked eventually before leaning into me to kiss my cheek softly. "If you need something scream." He added in a teasing tone.
"Sure." I grinned back at him then linked my arm with Anna as we made our way out the room and straight to her one instead, just like when we were little. "So, tell me more about your guy." I said once I was sure no one could hear us.
"I think it's over." She answered with a shrug and I couldn't help but laugh, since that was so Anna. "I'm getting tired of this kind of relationship, I wish I had something more serious but I can't find the right guy."
"You will, when the time is right." I smiled at her as I climbed on her bed and rolled over onto my side, watching her as she sat on the mattress indian style.
"Such a clichè Vi, jeez I thought you were better than this." She teased, giving me a side glance. "It must be Jake's influence."
I shrugged, my smile still in place because no matter how he was changing me I liked it. "Jealous again?"
"Honestly? A little." She confessed with a frown on her pretty face, "You guys seem so perfect together."
I shook my head, remembering all the fights and the days when we could barely say a word to each other. "No relationship is perfect, we've been through a lot." I said seriously, "You get to see the god side only."
"Still." She sighed, reaching for her pillow and adjusting it behind her head as she leaned against the bedframe. "And side note? I'm still shocked for the whole Eric thing."
At the mention of his brother I groaned, rolling my eyes, "Yeah right." I muttered under my breath, "He was an a.ss to Jake and she was too, no wonder why they're still toghether."
She laughed at my words, looking genuinely amused, "You're not over it."
"I was until your brilliant brother opened his damn mouth ten minutes ago." I said flatly, "You have no idea of how much it took to convince Jake to talk to him again, and that's how he pays me back? He's digging his own grave. Plus Jake didn't even say a word to take my side."
"You don't need Jake to defend yourself Vi, come on..." She trailed off and I knew she was right, but still. "But wow, I wouldn't want to be in Eric's shoes."
"Yeah, it wasn't smart, mostly if you consider that I don't like Andi already...." I trailed off, setting my hand on my tummy and thinking about the future, "I'm not sure if I want her in my baby's life."
"I can't believe you're having a baby." She whispered softly, her eyes landing on my hand.
"Please don't start crying again." I smirked at her and in that moment Jake walked into the room, an unredeable expression on his face.
"Were you talking behind my back already?" He joked, sitting behind me and pulling me into his arm.
I kept my smirk in place as I adjusted my head against his strong chest while he played with my hair, "We were about to." I teased him.
“Well the jokes on you because I talk about you behind your back all the time.” Jake said, trying not to grin. And failing.
“He does.” Anna nodded. “Violet is so perfect, Violet is so gorgeous, how lucky am I to be with Violet?!” She said in a sing-songy voice before fake gagging.
“You sound whipped Jakey bear.” I whispered before pressing my lips against his.
“Please don’t call me that in front of my sister.” He asked wincing as Anna giggled.
“Oops.”
He pulled me closer and set his hand on my stomach with mine under his. “Are you feeling better?”
“Much. Thank you.” I nodded and he moved one hand to push my hair out of my face.
“Are you hungry?”
I wrinkled my nose. I wasn't really hungry, but I'd still eat a whole fridge. “Maybe.”
“So do you want a boy or a girl?” Anna asked, grinning and setting her head in her hands, looking dreamy and adorable like I hadn’t seen her in a while.
“Boy” I said as the same time Jake said “Girl”
“Ohh.” She laughed. “Well maybe you’ll get both!”
“Oh god….I think one is enough for now.” I cringed. “That alone gives me a panic attack every other day.”
“What are you talking about? You’ll be a great mom.” She grinned and I blinked at her.
“Anna you knew me before Jake remember?”
“Yeah well everyone’s allowed to have their crazy stupid slutty days.”
Jake rose a brow at me and she bit her lip and shrugged. “Did you just call my girlfriend slutty?”
“You were too Jakey Bear.” Anna replied, breaking into a fit of giggles and making me start laughing too. He really used to be.
“I change my mind. I want a boy too, I'm surrounded by way too much estrogen.” He said shaking his head.
"Lies, you like being surrounded by girls instead." Anna retorted, smirking at her brother.
I snorted. "You have no idea." I said flatly since that was very much true.
"Thanks Anna." Jake glared at her, his body tensing against mine.
"Please, he's done being a little s.lut, he has eyes for you only Vi." She said seriously, furrowing her brows, "Always had actually." She added with a chuckle.
"I know." I sighed as I relaxed again. I had never doubt him, only I was jealous in a way that was absolutely irrational and I couldn't help it. "My baby bear is mine only."
"Baby bear!" Anna echoed me before breaking into a loud laugh while Jake shook his head.
"Am I missing all the fun?" Eric's voice broke into the room as he walked in, a smile on his face and his hands on his hips. "Can I join the party?"
I forced myself not to roll my eyes or glare at him and rolled over my side instead, cuddling against Jake so that I didn't have to look at the douchey brother.
"Yes please, these two are destroying me, I need another guy so that we can be even at least." Jake grinned, moving his hand up and down my side.
"Even? You wish. We girls are are so much better than you boys." Anna said simply as she shot me a significant look because one I was obviously ignoring Eric for a greater good, and also because she knew what I was thinking.
"I hope your baby is a boy, I couldn't stand another Anna." Eric said back.
"Not happening." Jake shook his head as he kept cuddling me mindlessly, his touch soothing, "It's our baby, even if she's a girl she'll be adorable, just like her mom."
"Or like you Jakey bear." Anna retorted with a huge grin on her face before winking at me and making me smile.
“Jakey bear.” Eric smirked and Jake shot him a glare which didn’t do anything, but then I shot him one too and that shut him up. “Hey Vi, I'm really sorry I took out my anger on you. It wasn’t your fault the family didn’t know about Andi….how could you?”
I blinked, still not buying his apology or at least not completely. “Hmm.” I looked at my nail bed and bit my lip because right now? It was better if I bit my tongue too before I could say something I'd regret.
Unfortunately Eric was just about as stubborn as me so he sat down on the bed. “Come on Vi don’t hold a moment’s weakness against me.”
“Are you talking about today or about Andi in general?” I asked back, hitting hard but Eric didn’t even flinch. Ass.
“Today. I don’t regret what happened with Andi.”
“No?” I asked, still not ready to let it go. I couldn't even start with all the reasons I didn't like Andi, but they were all about Jake. She had made him feel as if they had broken up because of him, because of me, while the bitch had fucked his brother instead. Not to add her pathetic attempt to jump back on the Jakey wagon when I had moved out for a few weeks.
“I regret the timing. But I am sorry about today.”
“I stood up for you.” I reminded him, hating that he was with her because I loved him and thought he deserved better than that.
He nodded. “And I didn’t deserve it then, hell I probably still don’t.”
“You don’t.” I agreed even though they were just words, in my heart I knew that he did instead. I didn't regret my decision because, eventually, it had brought him and his brother close again.
“Vi…not that I don’t think Eric’s behavior is worthy of a good as.s whooping-“ Anna started, glaring at their brother. “But I’ve never seen him actually apologize like that.”
I sighed because in the end I knew I couldn't stay mad at him. And not right now anyway. “We’re okay….for now.” I ended, licking my lips and Eric leaned in to kiss my cheek softly.
“You’re like my sister Vi. I couldn’t stand it if you hated me.” He said honestly and I melted a little. Damn Morgan guys and their words.
“She doesn’t hate you.” Jake rolled his eyes, knowing me better than anyone.
“Yet.” I added, patting my stomach. “I'm hungry again!”
"There's still plenty of food downstairs." My baby sighed as he smirked at me, "All you have to do is get up."
"But this bed is so comfy, I don't want to." I protested in a silly voice even though right now I was seriously tempted to take a nap.
Anna broke into a chuckle as she looked at me, "I know that feeling...and I'm not even pregnant."
Eric ignored his sister and raised one eyebrow at his brother instead, an amused expression on his face, "Is she always like this?"
"Hey!" I narrowed my eyes on him since for a while he'd better behiave, but I grinned eventually, "Sometimes I'm even worse."
"I'm not going to argue about that." Jake said seriously and I pinched his side hard, making him laugh, "I'm joking."
"No you're not." I retorted flatly as I lifted by back off the bed regretfully. "Give me a piggyback ride."
"What?!" He widened his eyes and both his siblings laughed.
"It's not like you never did before." Eric smirked as he shook his head, already halfway out the room.
Anna got up from the bed, "We all grew up together, remember?" She said in a teasing voice before following Eric.
I stared at my boyfriend through my lashes, my good mood back full force, "Our bean will be so lucky to be part of this family."
Jake nodded and kicked the door shut with his foot before hovering over me and kissing up my neck slowly. Oh my god. “Mmmm…Jake what are you doing?!”
“I'm getting back at Anna for using my room when she brought guys over because her’s shares a wall with mom and dad’s.” He replied, sliding his hand up my shirt.
“Oh my god how old are you?!” I smirked and I knew that this was going to end up bad, which was good really, but it was bad because his whole family was downstairs. Any other day I woulve been able to say no, but my hormones were already popping champagne bottles.
He grinned down at me. “Old enough to have a quality woman like you to fool around with.” He teased and pressed a kiss against my stomach.
“Jakey!” I wiggled underneath him .
“Are you turning me down?”
I blinked, thinking about it. “No.” I smiled, biting down on my lip and feeling as if all my high school dreams were becoming true. “But making out only, I'm not going all the way tonight.” I tried not to laugh and failed miserably.
“I think it’s a little too late for that.” He replied, kissing my stomach again before making his way back to my lips. “I'm at least getting some under the shirt action.”
I shook my head. “They’re going to know what we’re up to….” I trailed off, still feeling uncomfortable about it.
“You’re pregnant Vi. I think our secret is out.”
I grinned and wrapped my arms around him. “Just get to the kissing part before I change my mind.”
