"SEPTEMBER 8TH-10TH Work, as usual. It has been announced that Apple will announce its' employee of the month later this week - this could include anyone, as long as they've been actively supporting their division and working vibrantly on any project."
I walked down the hallway, my head hurting and still working fast, the last night I had been up working and it still hasn't been able to close the file about the previous week. Everybody was buzzing and working hard, hoping to be the employee of the month while I couldn't care less, I just wanted to do a perfect job. I already knew I was a great employee. I stepped into the break room and stopped in my tracks, my frown turning into a grin as I spotted a nice a.ss I had ran into only once but enough for me to remember it. I walked behind Lila, stretching my arm by her side to reach for a cup. "Hi Lila." I said into her ear, making her jump and turn her head in my direction immediately.

I walked behind Lila, stretching my arm by her side to reach for a cup. "Hi Lila." I said into her ear, making her jump and turn her head in my direction immediately.
"Travis?" She widened her pretty eyes at me, looking beyond surprised.
I smirked at the cute expression on her face and gave her some space, glancing at the pot she had in her hand. "Can I have some?"
"It's only for the people who work here you know." She bit down her lip, her eyes avoiding mine as she poured me some coffee.
"I do work here." I said quietly before bringing the cup to my lips and taking a big gulp.
Her eyes widened even more before moving down my body, "But you said-"
"Don't you like surprises?" I cut her off, leaning against the counter as I stared at her.
She hid her mouth behind her up, shrugging slightly. "You look different in a suit."
"I take it as a compliment." I kept staring at her, wondering if she took the chance if I offered her another one. I had my rule about not wasting my time twice, but I could make an exception. She seemed worth it and I was dying to land my lips on her porcelain skin.
“It was.” Lila admitted, smiling as she sipped her coffee.
“Black coffee?”
“Actually I prefer tea, but coffee does the job.” She explained and I sipped my own coffee, watching her move, almost studying her, wondering what was about this girl that made her look so different. There was definitely something, I just couldn't put my finger on it.
“I never liked tea.” I said while I looked at her, my mind somewhere else.
“Do you like not calling pretty girls?” She offered, watching my reaction.
I grinned and then took another sip, her words letting me know she had been looking forward to hear from me. “I thought I told you I lost your number.”
“For looking so good in a suit you certainly look like you don’t know how to hold on to important documents.” She licked her lips and walked towards her office, her body language clearly an invitation to follow her. And I did.
“You look good in a suit too.” I pointed out, my eyes travelling down her back to linger on her ass.
She looked back at me. “A suit or a pencil skirt?” She set her coffee cup on her desk and looked up.
I leaned up against the door frame, smirking at her, “Both.”
“Good to know.”
I shot her an amused look, sliding my hands into the pockets of my pants, "Do you get many compliments?"
She parted her lips, looking slightly taken aback then nodded eventually, "I guess I do." She shrugged, but the way she said it...it wasn't cocky, she sounded as if she was just stating a fact.
"And you still don't know how to take them?" I asked as I kept my eyes on her beautiful face, wondering what was the right way to read this girl and open her like a book. Mostly how to open her legs. "A thank you would be polite. Nice even."
She bit back a smirk, sitting at her desk and leaning her elbows against the flat surface. "Thank you Travis." She said slowly.
"I like how you say my name." I said nonchalantly and walked over her, bending over just so slightly to bore my eyes into hers, "I'm sure I'd like it even more if you were screaming it."
She swallowed as she tried to act impassible but I knew too many women not to notice their signals. Her eyes looked bigger, her lips pursed together and her cheeks got darker. "You're distracting me from my job." She said back, totally unrelated and changing the topic, which only proved me right.
"Running for best employee? Boring." I lifted my torso in a straighter position again, "It's just a lame excuse for making people work more and better."
She raised one eyebrow at me, her fingers playing with a pencil and showing her restlessness, "Are you a slacker instead?"
At that I laughed, because I had many flaws but none affecting my job. "Oh no, not at all. I like it hard." I said seriously.
“Then you’re boring also?” Lila asked, questioning my logic, only not getting it right instead.
“Do you think I'm boring?” I asked.
“I don’t really know you.” She grabbed her glasses and turned to her computer, thought I could tell she couldn't really focus with me in the room from the way her eyes stared at the screen blankly. But fuck she looked hot with those glasses.
“Do you want to?”
She lifted her head up to look at me. “That depends.” She took her glasses off again and let them hand on her thumb. “On if what you mean by getting to know you.”
I blinked, wondering where she was trying to get out of me. I had made pretty clear what I wanted. “You know you’re very hard to read.” I said finally.
She pushed back from her desk, crossing her legs. “I've heard that before.” She grinned. “My brother Reece says the only thing that changes more than my hair color is my personality.” She frowned, for whatever reason.
“You’re not a natural blonde?”
She grinned. “I’ve only been blonde for a month….I’m thinking about changing again.”
“I dunno….I like it.” I said casually, not really into the subject but hey, girls loved compliments.
She leaned into me a little more. “I'm sure you’d like it red too.”
I grinned. “I like the glasses.” I commented, leaving out the part where I thought she looked like some kind of sexy secretary.
She pushed back out of her chair and walked up to me, closing the distance between us. “You want to fuck me.” It wasn’t a question, but still I waited for a response.
“Clearly.” I said after recovering from the initial shock of her bluntness.
“So you’re wondering what you have to do to get there, and if it’s worth it.”
I processed her words, her change of demeanour surprising me in a positive way. It was sexy as hell. "If you get an inch closer to me you're going to be in danger." I said instead, dropping my eyes on her breasts before looking back into her eyes.
She bit down on her lip and hesitated a moment, then took a step closer, her chest almost touching mine. "Oh really?" She said eventually.
I felt a smirk widen on my face, my hands going to her hips to pull her against me. "I warned you."
She gasped, setting her hands on my chest but not pushing me away. "Tra-Travis what are you doing?" She blinked her eyes at me, for the first time looking even younger than she was.
"I'm trying to figure out how to get what I want." I said in a low tone, wishing there weren't so many layers of clothes separating us. I couldn't deny that the fact that she had basically turned me down the first time? It had burned. I usually didn't care if a girl said no, the world was full of girls willing to let me fuck them, and I couldn't actually remember the last time I had got a no...but still, I wanted to be inside of her and maybe she was worth of a second try.
She swallowed again, the sexy kitten I had seen a bunch of seconds before gone, "We're at work, someone could see us." She protested weakly.
"But I'm doing nothing." I retorted as I kept my smirk in place, holding back even if it was hard considering how close we were and how fucking tight and sexy her body was. "Just some innocent tempting." I added and pulled away, my face back to straight and business. I agreed with what I thought she thought, getting caught with someone you worked with was never a good idea. But I wanted to plant in her mind the feeling of me against her and if that wasn't enough either she might as well being a lesbian.
“It’s not as tempting when you pull away…..” Lila almost whispered.
I grinned again, my hand reaching inside her blazer to hold her tiny waist. “Do you like it when I touch you?” I asked bluntly, staring at her and waiting for a honest answer.
“Do you?” She asked instead.
“You’re great at deflecting Lila.”
She licked her lips and leaned into my touch. “You’re great at asking questions you already know the answer to.” Her voice was heavy, breathy, and I was barely touching her.
“If I already knew the answer you wouldn’t have turned me down that night.”
She pushed back her bangs and shook her head. “It wouldn’t have mattered what you did that night. I'm just not that kind of girl.”
“Every girl is that kind of girl for the right man.” I said quietly, my tone oozing confidence because unless you were a nun? There was always a firls time for one night stands.
“The right man asked me that night.” She admitted. “I must have better self control than “every girl””
I smirked. “Or a really good vibrator.”
She looked shocked for a second but then she smiled wide at me, leaning her body closer to press her chest against mine. “I prefer removable shower heads….but yes.” She grinned and then pulled back, reaching for her coffee cup.
I watched her as she walked to the window of her office, leaning her ass against the sill. I was torn, and I usually never was, I always knew what I wanted and how to get it but this girl was more complicated than I thought. And I didn't do complicated. "Nothing feels as good as the real thing." I said eventually, shrugging my shoulders.
"I agree on that one." She paused to sip her coffee, her eyes staring at the floor and avoiding mine, "But it's better than nothing."
"Did you think about me"? I asked bluntly, trying to get a stronger reaction out of her, one that could push her straight into my arms or more likely push me between her legs.
She parted her lips and she was about to answer, then she bit down on her lip. "That's something I can't really tell you." She said eventually but the blush creeping on her cheeks gave her away.
I smirked at her, ignoring her verbal answer and focusing on the reaction of her body. "I'm flattered."
"I didn't say-"
"You didn't need to." I cut her off before she could serve me a lie, then I waited in silence for her to make eye contact with me. When she did, her cheeks only got darker and I was tempted to close the distance between us once again, but what kind of man did that? I didn't know her, we weren't in a bar, and she had already said no once. I didn't like giving up but I knew when to step back. "I better go back to my office."
"You didn't like my answer so you're going away?" She asked in a quiet tone.
"I liked the answer you didn't give me, I know you're attracted to me but it won't get me anywhere. You're just a tease Lila." I shrugged nonchalantly as I started walking backwards toward the door, "You're young after all. I can't really blame you."
“Oh.” Lila grinned at me for some reason I couldn't really tell. Girls were weird sometimes.
“Oh?” I echoed her.
“See now you’re telling yourself I'm not worth it and coming up with reasons.” She pointed out, looking bothered.
“You’re not in my mind you wouldn’t know what I'm thinking.” I said back since that wasn't the case. She was probably worthy, but I wasn't going to do more than I usually did to hook up with a girl. I didn't want more while she seemed to be set on tricking me into taking her out or whatever.
She nodded as she looked into her coffee, taking a sip and setting it down next to her. “I’d love to be in your mind. It seems dark and dangerous but tempting all at the same time.” She said honestly.
Tempting? Yes. Dark and dangerous? Not so much. “You’re playing games. I don’t do that.” I explained quietly.
She shook her head and walked closer. “I'm not playing anything. There’s a difference between being a tease and being worth the wait.”
I rose a brow, “I'm guessing you’re suggesting that you’re the latter.”
“That’s up for you to decide Travis.” She replied.
"I feel like we're saying the same things again and again." I pointed out, guessing that she was just too stubborn to really get the meaning of my words. She didn't know me, still I thought I had been pretty clear about my intentions.
She furrowed her brows, looking cute once again. The thing about her was that she was 8 years younger than me and...I don't even know, she had some kind of pull on me apparently, since I was still standing there. "Meaning?" She asked.
"I know what you mean, that you're worth the wait." I paused, trying to look at her in another light, not just like a girl I wanted to f.uck. Just a girl period. "I'm sure you are, I mean look at you. You're hot, have a brain, and I don't really know you but I can tell you're worthy."
She nodded slowly as she shot me a skeptical look and I thought that for the first time she was genuinely confused. "Uh, thanks I guess..."
"You're welcome." I grinned at her as I ran my hands through my hair, doing my best not to look at her legs or her chest, or her lips, but focusing on her eyes instead.
"I'm waiting for you to go on." She said quietly and bit back a smirk.
"Right, I got distracted for a moment." I smirked and I couldn't bite my tongue apparently. "I don't wait Lila, that's it. Waiting is for men who want more than just bringing a girl home, and I don't want that instead. It doesn't matter if you're worth waiting or not." I finished, being honest with her because at this point I knew that nothing was going to happen and I wanted her to have it clear too, mostly since we worked in the same place.
“Ever?” Lila questioned, looking into my eyes as if she was hoping to read god knew what. I just shook my head and she sighed. “Sounds lonely.” She admitted before shrugging.
“I-“ I started but she interrupted me.
“Are you not friends with girls then?” She asked me.
“No.” I answered while thinking that my ex couldn't count as ex and the other girls I knew and didn't fuck I only talked to rarely. So no. She laughed and shook her head, making me wonder what was so funny because I couldn't see it. “You find me amusing…”
She nodded. “Sometimes, now I just find you a little depressing and it’s easier to laugh.” She admitted.
“You don’t really have a filter do you?” I asked, not bothering to be offended because I knew who I was and how I was. Depressing didn't really fit me.
She shook her head. “No. So you can’t be lovers, and you can’t be friends.” She leaned back, sitting on her desk and looking over me.
“Sorry.” I shrugged and she sighed.
“Well call me if you ever change your mind.” She offered and I opened my mouth to tell her that it wasn't going to happen, instead she interrupted. “I’ll call you if I ever need a cheap fuck.” She winked then grabbed her cup.
And now it was my time to laugh. "Good god." I said under my breath and shook my head.
"What?" She asked, blinking those bambi eyes at me.
"I find you amusing." I said back, being careful with using her words against her.
She shrugged, "It doesn't sound like a compliment."
"Wasn't it a compliment from you when you told me 3 minutes ago?" I kept smirking at her as I relaxed, knowing that at this point I had given up completely and I could allow myself to stop caring completely.
"Yes but it sounds different coming from you instead." She said back as she frowned.
"You're adorable." My smirk turned into a smile as I realized how young she looked right now.
"You kept saying that too and I'm not sure about that either." She pointed out.
I shrugged, "It's a good thing. You're like a baby." I teased her, just for the sake of it and to let things smooth between us. I didn't wanted to risk meeting her in the hallways and having her glare at me.
She rolled her eyes as she crossed her arms against her chest, looking even more cute. "Please. Is baby your type then?" She questioned, trying to make a point.
"You're not my type anymore." I winked at her and with that, I left her office.
I smirked at the cute expression on her face and gave her some space, glancing at the pot she had in her hand. "Can I have some?"

ReplyDeleteyou know can't stop being attracted to someone because they turn you down :3
-lila
I know. but I can stop hitting on said someone.
ReplyDelete-travis
you've barely hit on me as it is so it should be easy :3
ReplyDelete-lila
were we talking about you?
ReplyDelete-travis
we were yes :3
ReplyDelete-lila
do you want me to hit on you?
ReplyDelete-travis
that's a loaded question....i guess the answer is yes, but that's too easy.
ReplyDelete-lila
do you like turning down guys?
ReplyDelete-travis
no. though this was less me turning you down and more me turning down your method.
ReplyDelete-lila
same result
ReplyDelete-travis
yeah we don't get to have naked fun *pouts*
ReplyDelete-lila
we do, just not together
ReplyDelete-travis
*rolls her eyes* yes.
ReplyDelete-lila
your fault not mine
ReplyDelete-travis
no. your fault.
ReplyDelete-lila
lets drop it before it even starts
ReplyDelete-travis
your loss.
ReplyDelete-lila
yours too
ReplyDelete-travis
i completely agree.
ReplyDelete-lila
I think it's costing you more resisting me than how it would if you gave up
ReplyDelete-travis
i'm not resisting if you're not trying anymore.
ReplyDelete-lila
thats true
ReplyDelete-travis
but even if you were, my pride is worth more than a little sexual frustration.
ReplyDelete-lila
youre all about what's worth and what's not
ReplyDelete-travis
i've made enough mistakes to know it's an important thing to worry about.
ReplyDelete-lila
I think you're making a huge deal out of this
ReplyDelete-travis
what do you mean?
ReplyDelete-lila
I mean you don't want to sleep with me, I get it, no need to repeat that or how you think that waiting is the key to get into your bed and blah blah
ReplyDelete-travis
you're wrong. but if you think everything i say is boring? stop talking to me.
ReplyDelete-lila
I didn't say it was boring
ReplyDelete-travis
blah blah blah implied boring. and just so you know? waiting has nothing to do with it.
ReplyDelete-lila
blah blah is because I was too lazy to repeat what you said
ReplyDelete-travis
too lazy to speak a few words? thank god we didn't fuck.
ReplyDelete-lila
oh yes, thank god
ReplyDelete-travis
i'm much younger, you couldn't keep up if even talking is too hard. *laughs*
ReplyDelete-lila
*laughs too* good point I should start hitting on oldies
ReplyDelete-travis
