“No I'm at Coachella….Seb brought me…” Aria trailed off, sounding a little awkward if I was being honest.

“That’s….unusually sweet.” I joked, trying to have the same camaraderie we usually did but the truth was….it wasn’t there. Not that I blamed her, she was following her heart and it wasn’t like I’d been there for her either…..not to mention I was having a secret affair with her sister. It wasn’t even that I didn’t want her to know….I sighed. I didn’t know what I wanted.

 

"Alright, well I just really wanted to surprise you… I wished you could have been here. I do miss you…" I sighed and leaned back against the office chair.

“I miss you too Gav….I’m sorry you flew all the way out there….” I shook my head even though I knew she couldn’t see me.

"Don't worry about it, I promise. It's Chicago! I'm sure I'll find something to do.” I thought about saying something about Mia….but thought I should at least warn her first before I let out our secret. “I'll talk to you later." I hung up and set my cell down on the desk and leaned back, running my hands over my face. I felt like I was living on an emotional roller coaster. First I think I'm in love, then the girl I love leaves me, then I lose my best friend….then I start sleeping with her sister. It was worse than the terrible rom-coms I was in.

"Are you okay?" A voice asked, startling me. I looked up to see Mia standing in the doorway looking so gorgeous I was shocked she just got off a four hour flight.  

"Hey there. I didn't hear you come in." I said as she walked closer to me, sitting on my lap and leaning forward to press a kiss against my mouth. I instantly felt better….though that made me feel worse. Dramatic.

"What was that all about?" She nodded towards my phone.

"Well, Aria isn't in Chicago… Seb took her Coachella for her birthday." I gave Mia a weak smile.

"I'm sorry." She replied, running her fingers through my hair as I leaned my forehead against hers. "I know you were looking forward to seeing her…" I shrugged,

"I know, but shit happens. How was your flight?"

"It was great." she smiled, "First class was awesome and it was good flight. I was really excited to see you." She bit my lip…making me want to bite it myself.

"I was excited to see you too…"

"Are you sure? Because I understand if you want to go home…" she replied as she readjusted herself in the chair so she was straddling me.

"We have a suite until Sunday, we might as well use it… Chicago has lots to do." I grinned.

"Like me?" she smirked, leaning in and kissing me hard. Damn her kisses…

"That's one thing." I shrugged with a smirk, "Honestly, I still think it'd be fun with just the two of us."

"Me too… I got some drinks off the plane. We could just relax and drink?" she suggested.

"Sounds great…" she stood up and I followed her, my eyes on her ass as she moved.

"You look great…" I trailed off, smiling.

"That sounds like a compliment…"

"It is Mia…"I said genuinely. Even when we hadn’t gotten along I knew she was one of the most beautiful women on earth.

"Thank you..." I started chuckling and Mia turned around to look at me.

“What?” I smirked.

“You just started blushing at a compliment I gave you. Me.” I shook my head and kept laughing as she felt her cheeks and they got redder.

“I did not.” I laughed harder and pointed at her.

“Lies.” She folded her arms over her chest and glared at me.

“Coopers.” She warned. “I will slap your pretty face.” I grinned.

“Pretty huh?” I teased, glancing down at her tits, which were pressing out of her dress. She noticed and tilted her head to the side.

“Want me to bend over so you can get a better look?” she asked, still snippy which honestly I used to hate, but now? I kind of thought it was cute.

“Or you could just take that dress off.” I suggested nodding towards her and grinning. Mia bit her lip, trying not to smirk.

“Already? No wining and dining me?” I laughed.

“What are you my girlfriend now?” I asked shaking my head.

“God….no.” she made a face and I laughed but then the faces were gone and we were left just kind of…..looking at each other. Truth was? I wasn’t sure we could call what we were doing revenge sex anymore….or even fuck buddies. We spent more nights together than we did apart, we weren’t dating or sleeping with other people and now that Aria wasn’t here as our excuse?  We were basically on vacation together. It was….well now that I was thinking about it? It was weird.

“Are you going to take your dress off or am I going to have to rip it off?” I asked, pushing away my thoughts and taking a step closer to her.

“How about I take it off, and slip into my bikini and we can see if this hotel has a Jacuzzi.” I felt the corners of my lips tilt up.

“And to think I used to think all your ideas were stupid.” I teased, reaching out and pulling her tiny body into mine before lowering my lips to her neck. “But don’t think I'm going to be able to keep my hands off of you for too long if you’re wearing just a bikini…..”

"Well, I don't think you're deserving enough to see what's underneath." Mia smirked, "Especially after that smart ass comment." I raised a brow,

"Really?" she shook her head,

"No, let me go get changed." she smirked, quickly grabbing her swimsuit out of her suitcase and changing in the bathroom though why I wasn’t sure. Not like I never saw her naked before. But then she came out…..let me just tell you that some girls? Should only ever wear swimsuits. Or lingerie. Mia was one of those girls. I groaned when she came back into the room,

"Fuck me…" I trailed off. Mia bit down on her lip,

"Later… Let's go for a dip." she grabbed my hand and pulled us towards the pool area. Thank god for it being late and there being no one except the two of us. she slipped into the Jacuzzi and grinned as I peeled off my tee shirt and followed behind her. Mia pulled herself back into my lap, straddling my waist as she wrapped her arms around my neck.

"So how badly did you miss me?" she smirked at me.

"Very much…" I admitted, gulping as I realized that was another trait of having a girlfriend, not a fuck buddy. "Have I told you how good you look in that bikini?" I asked, ignoring my thoughts once more as I wrapped my arms around her waist.  Mia shook her head,

"Not in those words exactly… but you breathing out 'fuck me' earlier gave me a clue…" she smirked.

"Well, you look fucking amazing…" I breathed out, running my hands up her bare back to her bikini and pulling the string holding it together, tossing her top to the side and letting her press her bare breasts against my body. 

"Maybe I should have just walked to the pool naked…" I shook my head adamantly,

"I don't plan on sharing…" she smirked,

"You sound a bit jealous Gavin." Mia breathed out against my lips, rocking her hips against mine lightly.

 "And if I said I was? What would you think?" I asked, pushing her hair out of her face.

"I'd say that is really fucking hot… Extremely hot." I groaned,

"Then the thought of someone else touching you, or even staring at your naked body pisses me off. I don't like to share."

"Funny, I don't like to either." Jealousy….there was another relationship trait. The longer I dwelled on it the more it kind of frightened me. Because maybe I was the only one seeing it, maybe she wasn’t feeling anything more than what it was when it started, just sex. Great sex.  I swallowed thickly.

“Do you think….” I started, but then shook my head. “Nevermind.” She blinked.

“What? Do I think what?” I shrugged.

“Do you think we might be more than we’re pretending we are?” Mia leaned her body against mine, her t.ts really fuc.king tempting but I really wanted to know her thoughts. 

“What do you mean?”

“I don’t know…..we sleep together almost every night, we don’t want other relationships. That sounds like more than just fu.ck buddies Mia.”

“But we don’t even like each other.” She said, her brow furrowing. “It’s not like we’d ever make it as a couple or anything. That’s laughable.” She smirked and I leaned in and kissed her pouty lips.

“You’re probably right.” I agreed, moving my lips down her neck.

Then suddenly we heard someone clearing their throat and we both turned towards the entrance where somebody, unknown to either of us, but if I had to guess I assumed a hotel worker. Oops. Mia bit her lip as the woman narrowed her eyes at the two of us and pointed at the sign that showed what time the pool closed,

"Are you guys blind?" She said snootily.

"My girlfriend is a bit misguided and a complete rule breaker… I'll try to keep her in line." I said with a smirk. She rolled her eyes and swallowed,

 "Well it's time for you to go to your room." She glared as she tossed us towels before turning on her heel and storming out. Lucky us she seemed to be the one person who didn’t recognize either of us.

"Girlfriend?" Mia smirked.

"Would you have preferred me to call you my fuck buddy?" I grinned as we stepped out of the jacuzzi and wrapped the towels around our bodies.

"I don't know if you've heard this, but I'm a bit of a charmer."
