I knocked on the door of Nolan's loft as I tapped my foot on the floor nervously while glancing at the my watch. Ten in the morning and the man was still sleeping I was sure. I left a few seconds pass, then knocked again, this time louder as I used my voice too. "Nolan, it's me!" I said loud enough for him to hear me and probably hate me too since it was Sunday and it was supposed to be the only day when he could sleep in. For a moment I considere the option he could be with another girl, which could be since we weren't even a thing and he was crazy attractive, but in that case? I'd need a plan B.
The door swung open and there he was, hald naked, half asleep, half grumpy with bed hair too. He was so hot. "If you come over so early in the morning the least you should do is wearing no clothes." He said in a groggy voice.
"I have no time for sexy business. And it's not that early anyway." I said nonchalantly as I walked past him and headed straight to his room where I dropped the big black bag I had in my arms. I heard him close the door and follow me, just like I felt his eyes on me even though I wasn't looking. "I need a favor." I breathed out as I spun on my heels and watched him with my best doe eyes. Truth was, I never asked for any favor to anyone, so I felt slightly embarassed but I had no other choice. Correction, I did, but it was just as bad as begging Nolan to come with me to my cousin's wedding.
He leaned his shoulder against the doorframe and crossed his arms against his hard naked chest as he moved his eyes from my body to my face, "I hope it involves take that fancy dress off of you." He said with a grin on his face, tempting me like he always did. I wasn't surprise, our relationship, in the general meanining of the term, wasn't much more than sex in the end even though deep down I cared about him, just not in a romantic way.
"Maybe later." I bit down on my lip, using my best cards to convince him even before starting to tell him what this was about. Seduction was the way, I was sure.
He raised one eyebrow slowly, the look into his eyes both curious and wary. He was too smart not to know that I was hiding something. "Why? What happens now?" He asked.
I walked over him and set my hands on his chest, appreciating his sculpted pecs, "You're coming with me to San Francisco." I smiled, still not saying the whole truth.
"Eva." He smirked at me and shook his head, looking vaguely amused, "Since when you can't say things just like they are? Shoot."
"...can you come with me to my cousin's wedding please?" I said in one quick breath, making a face because it'd be a pain in the a.ss for me just like it'd be for him. Because he couldn't say no, I couldn't go alone.
"No." He shook his head again, his smirk fading and his lips pursing together.
"Please." I begged as I ran my hands up his neck and stared at him intently, "I'd do anything you want in return."
He furrowed his brows, dropping his hands on my hips and pulling away slightly. This wasn't going like I had hoped. "I didn't even know you had any family here other than your parents."
"Well, now you do." I shrugged about to say something else but he cut me off before I could go on.
"Why do you even want me to come? I had never met anyone and I thought we were on the same page-"
"We are but when you're 27 and you go to a wedding alone? Everyone looks at you with pity." I explained and it was my turn to cut him off. I knew it was silly, even lame, but still. "I need a fake boyfriend to go with."
He snorted, the look on his face impossible to read, "Boyfriend? Why not fiance instead."
I lit up, wondering why I hadn't thought about it myself. "That'd work even better." I nodded seriously, "Can you be my fake fiance? Please? Everyone will forget about you by tomorrow I promise."
"It was a joke," Nolan said flatly, sighing as he moved his hands away from my body to run them through his messy hair. Whenever he took his hands away from me? It was a bad sign and I could only imagine what was going through his mind. Men rarely were big fans of weddings, Nolan had to hate them if I knew him a little. "No. God no."
This time, I set my hands on my hips and glared at him since I wasn't liking his answer at all, "Why not? Give me one good reason."
"I don't believe in marriage," He said honestly, not shocking me even a bit. He couldn't even be in a relationship how could he understand marriage?
"Your parents have been married for 35 years," I retorted anyway, wanting to convince him no matter what.
"And they hate each other," He concluded, looking deep in thoughts I didn't want to know. "Why me anyways? I could give you the numbers for at least ten guys who would kill to go on a date with you and pretend to be your fiance."
My arms moved to cross over her chest. "What do you have against weddings?"
He shrugged, "Honestly? I've been to five in my life and can only remember one."
"So?"
"Won't your parents be there?"
"Yes." I stared at him with a straight face, trying to understand what his point was, "So?" I asked again.
He raised one eyebrow at me, looking as if I was an idiot but I didn't think I was. Only men couldn't understand how hard was to be a woman sometimes. People judged you a lot more and more quickly, and you had to work twice harder than a man to get to his same point in your career, it was really unfair. "Wouldn't they wonder why you never told them about getting engaged?" He reasoned out loud.
I shrugged nonchalantly, since that didn't seem a problem to me. I loved my parents, I really did, but we worked better when we weren't too close. I liked being independent and I didn't want anyone to have any say in my life and in my choices, that's why I never heard from them that much. "I'd say you just asked."
"And what would they say when you won't get married?" He pressed on, trying to change my mind and convincing me this was a bad idea but unfortunately for him my opinion rarely changed.
"I'd blame it on you." I answered flatly even though I was supposed to joke, sighing as I ran my hand through my hair, "Can I make myself some coffee? You can go back to bed." He just nodded and stared at me, only annoying me more, so I broke eye contact in favor of spinning on my heels and heading to the kitchen. It was unbelievable how he couldn't even do .me a favor, one that wouldn't affect him in any way...but then again, he was a man, and men were untrustworthy and most of the time useless.
"Why can't you go alone?" He asked, breaking the silence and making me realize that he was just a few steps behind me.
"You just don't understand." I shook my head as I poured the hot liquid into a cup, not bothering to look at him, "If a guy is single in his late 20s or early 30s? He's still a charming bachelor, if a woman is? She's the poor loser who can't get herself a man."
Nolan sighed, "It's not true," He said simply. Meh.
"It is, but you wouldn't know since you're not a woman," I said flatly and turned back to look at him, eyes cold. "Lucky you."
He shook his head, "I meant that you're not a loser. You're driven, successful-"
"Well thank you for the flattery, unfortunately for you, it's not going to have me falling in your bed today," I cut him off shortly.
He remained silent for a moment, as if he was considering it, "What's in it for me?"
"Am I supposed to reward you for every good deed you do?" I lifted a brow at him, "You're not a dog."
He let out a snort, "Your attitude isn't helping your case. Do I have to dance?"
I shook my head slowly and let my eyes graze me, just as attracted to him as he was to me. Maybe we lacked in other parts, but that attraction? God, it was strong. "No. I've seen you dance before and trust me, no one needs to see that," I said finally and this time, a genuine laugh escaped him.
"I'll go with you," He replied and crossed his arms over his chest to imitate my own body language which was still kind of cold.
"On what conditions?"
"I'll drive," He said while my face remained skeptical. With Nolan you could never know, he was unpredictable. "And you'll give me road head both ways."
I rolled my eyes and an almost inaudible sigh escaped me, "Never mind. Forget I asked."
"I was joking," He smiled and stepped closer to me, breaking the distance as he set both hands on my hips. "So what's in the bag? You didn't rent me a suit, did you?"
"God no." I answered as I kept a straight face, having him close making me relax a little already but there was nothing romantic about that. His amazing half naked body was distracting me from how awful this day was going to be. "I bought you one."
His grey eyes widened in surprise before he raised one eyebrow at me, "You're kidding me."
"Renting clothes is gross." I explained as I scrunched up my nose, the thought alone disgusting me, "What if the person that wears it before you has bad hygiene?"
"They wash it before renting it again." He retorted, shooting me one of his smarta.ss smirks that made him look so annoyingly sexy.
"Still." I shrugged my shoulders as I downed my coffee, setting the now empty cup on the kitchen counter before I set my hands on his strong chest, "You're welcome." I grinned back at him.
His hands moved on my back and then down to my a.ss, "What if I had said no?"
"I'd change it with something for me." I answered simply because it was that simple.
"Uhm." He mumbled unintelligently as he nodded, "And what if it doesn't fit me?"
At that I let out a soft chuckle, "I undressed you so many times that I know your clothes better than yourself." I said then I pressed a chaste kiss on his lips before pulling away.
He sighed but the grin on his lips stayed the same, "I'm starting to feel like a gigolo." He joked as he started for his room.
I refilled my cup of coffee before following him, "You'd make a lot of money." I said seriously and walked over his bed where I sat down as gracefully as I could considering that my dress wasn't exactly comfortable.
"You'd have to start paying me and you'd become poor." He reached for the big bag and opened it, peeking inside before looking up at me again, "Blue?"
"It looks good on you and you don't have many." I explained simply, surprised that I actually knew what was in his closet. Then again, I saw him everyday at work and I could go through his suits with my eyes closed. I couldn't say the same about his causal clothes since for me he was either in a suit or naked.
He pull it out of the bag and shook his head, "This is weird." He said, more to himself than to me.
"Oh come on don't make a big deal out of it." I snorted, setting my cup on his bedside table before laying down on the bed, wishing I could stay there and skip this damn wedding.
"It's Armani," Nolan lift his brow again after reading the tag, moving his gaze back to me, mostly to my legs and I knew exactly what he was thinking about. He was getting distracted.
"Your point?" I cut him off mid-daydream. He shook his head for the umpteenth time and laid the suit on his bed beside me, pulling the pieces apart one at a time. "You're not going to shower first?" I added when he didn't say anything but focused on dressing himself.
"Only if you join me," He replied with another smirk playing on his lips before sliding his head into the shirt and tucking it.
I rolled my eyes but smirked back at him as he pulled his arms into the jacket, "You'd make us late."
"But I'd make you cum," He said with his eyes back on my legs, more so my thighs. I had to thank my legs too if he had said yes.
"Later." I pushed myself off the bed and smoothed my dress out with both hands, "Are you ready then?"
He looked down at himself, he was missing a tie, shoes, and he probably had to wash that sleepy expression off his face. "Do I look ready?" He asked and brushed past me towards the bathroom.
I bit my tongue as I wached him wash his face, then brushing his teeth. He was really handsome, hands down the most handsome man I had ever seen in my whole life, and I was sure that his looks wouldn't go unnoticed at the wedding, I could only hope they'd be enough to keep everyone distracted from the rest. I wasn't sure if this was a good idea, but it was the only one I had.
He rinsed his mouth out and put his toothbrush back, walking into the room and reaching for the tie before I beat him to it and shifted my body closer to his, almost leaning my chest against his.
"Let me help you," I said as I slid my free hand up his chest then wrapped the tie around his neck, tying it carefully and perfectly. I'd done this so many times that it'd become a habit between us.
"Are you nervous?" He asked when I made eye contact with him.
"Do I look nervous?" I asked back, genuinely curious to know how I looked from the outside even though Nolan couldn't really give me a 100% unbiased opinion, since he knew me pretty well.
"A little." He answered and moved his eyes from mine to my hands as they smoothed his tie before buttoning his jacket, his own hands on my hips.
I shrugged nonchalantly, taking a step back to have a better look of him and smirking when I realized that he still needed a pair of shoes. "I guess it's normal, it's the first time I have a fiancè." I winked at him, playing it off since I knew that I started to talk about it more seriously I'd only get more nervous.
"Shocking." He said back in a teasing tone, a smirk forming on his lips as he grabbed the shoes I had reached for in the meantime and sitting on the bed to wear them, "You're such a great fan of commitment, I'm surprised the wedding is not your own."
"I know right? Maybe we should really get married." I played along with him before I rolled my eyes and my face went serious once again, "You're ready now, let's go."
He stood up, shooting me a glare as we walked to the door, him grabbing his phone and his keys in the process, "Look at us, arguing like a real couple." He kept teasing and part of me was grateful for that.
"If we keep this up, everyone will buy our lie." I said to him, half joking and half...not really.
"Your lie." He pointed out as we walked to my car, his arm stretching out and his hand waiting for the keys.
"Same difference." I retorted flatly, fishing for the keys in my way too small bag and giving them to him. "You better treat my car right."
He shot me a big grin as he opened the door, "What does that even mean?" He asked once we were both inside.
"It means, don't drive like a psycho. Or like a sissy." I said seriously then I allowed myself to smirk, leaning into him and pressing a quick kiss on the corner of his mouth before adjusting myself in my seat and buckling my belt.
"Do you know anyone here?" Nolan asked as his eyes scanned the reception room which was made up of mostly women. Of course his wandering eye liked that.
I kept shifting my weight around instead, feeling nervous and trying to hide it. "Of course I know people here," I bit back at him and turned my head in his direction to add a glare. "It's my cousins wedding. My family is here."
"Where?" He looked around.
A tiny groan escaped me and I pressed my body against his, slipping my arm through his to link them together, "That's my aunt in the black."
"A family member of yours wearing black to a wedding? I can't say that I'm surprised," He joked with a smirk playing on his lips.
"She doesn't approve of the man my cousins marrying," I added matter-of-factly.
"And why is that?" He asked, genuinely curious.
I shrugged my shoulders slightly, "He's in his 50s."
"Age isn't important."
"His kids are her age," I added and wrinkled my nose. He grinned at the expression on my face and leaned in to kiss my nose first and then my lips, a little more than chastely. "Stop that!"
Both brows shot up, "Stop what? Would you rather me treat you like a hooker? No kissing, just fu-"
"Eva, I didn't know you were bringing a guest," My mom's voice cut in.
I parted my lips, then closed them, trying not to act too weird. "Hi mom." I said eventually, leaning into her to kiss her cheek to gain some time to compose myself. I had to get into an engaged woman state of mind. Once I pulled back I plastered a smile on my face which wasn't completely fake but it wasn't completely genuine either. "He's Nolan, my b-"
"Fiancé." He ended my sentence and stretched his arm out before I could ruin everything from step one, his lips curving into a charming grin which was already working on my mom. He was really talented with women.
My moms eyes widened a little, bouncing between the two of us, "I had no idea you were even seeing someone." She pointed out, her tone a mix of confusion and skepticism.
I looped my arm around Nolan's as I pushed my side against his, even looking up at him with an enamoured expression in my eyes. It wasn't that hard faking that, I cared about him, even if I'd rather cut one of my legs to admit that. "It all happened so fast and I was waiting to see you to tell you."
Her brows furrowed together while I prayed that she'd buy all of it. "So...when did you two meet?" She asked, already getting on the motherly protective side no matter if I was a grown up woman. It was cute.
Nolan turned his head in my direction and shot me a real smirk, "Four years ago." He answered for me and if I knew him as well as I thought I did? He was thinking about the moment we had met, more likely the short skirt I was wearing.
"I thought it happened fast." My mom pointed out, not once missing a beat.
I nodded my head as I smiled, trying to look as convincing as possible, "We've been friends for a very long time, just lately we realised that what we have is a lot more than a friendship." I explained as I glanced up at Nolan.
He smiled back at me and for a moment I was tempted to laugh for how actually real everything seemed. Maybe we should've been actors instead of working at the apple. "It took a while but it was worth it."
"Oh?" My mom's eyes widened just ever so slightly and I had no idea if she was buying our story or she was just thinking that I was desperate.
Nolan nodded and squeezed my waist to pull me even closer, "Your daughter is more than worth it. I still can't believe what a lucky man I am." Lucky he was, I got him lucky a lot whenever I was on my knees.
"Oh stop, you're going to make me blush," I cut in, really wanting him to stop because he was just exaggerating now. It had to look believable, not ridiculous.
He shook his head, "I couldn't keep my eyes off of her the first time she walked into my office... still can't." My eyes were narrowing on him at this point. "You've got an amazing daughter Mrs. Blunt."
"Call me Sabrina," She eased up finally and smiled, but if I knew my mom? She was just being overpolite and thinking I was engaged to an idiot instead.
He nodded his head, "It's nice to finally meet you, Sabrina. I can see where Eva gets her good looks."
I made a weird strangling sound from beside him, almost too quiet to hear. "Enough talk about me," I cut in and gave his arm a tight squeeze, showing me that I meant what I was saying and that if he kept going, he'd pay for it later. The price would be really high too.
He turned his head in my direction and grinned before kissing my forehead, knowing how I hated it. I wrinkled my nose and he let out a soft chuckle, "Sorry cupcake. You know how I get when I talk about you."
"Cupcake," My mom repeated, missing the glare I was giving him.
"My nickname for her," He shrugged slightly. "My little cupcake."
I fought the urge to roll my eyes or kick his face, instead I made a stupid smiley face and brushed my nose against his. "Aw my cuddle muffin." I said in a disgustingly sweet voice, paying him back with his same medicine as I turned my face to my mom. "He's so cute...isn't he cute?" I asked her, being sure to use the word Nolan hated so much at least twice.
She nodded nonchalantly, "I've never seen you like this with anyone." She smiled.
"I hadn't found my other half yet." I said as I cuddled against Nolan's side, setting my cheek on his shoulder and trying not to even blink when he pinched my side, probably hating me too.
My mom shot us both a skeptical look which was probably because we were both smiling and acting like idiots, but I blamed it all on Nolan. I had asked him to play my fiance, not a retarded one. Cupcake? Really? "You should meet my husband, Nolan." She said eventually. "I'm going to find him and I'll be right back."
"We can't wait." I said back and waited for her to be far enough for me to glare at my fake fiance, "Call me again cupcake and-"
"And what? You'll break up with me?" He cut me off with a ridiculously smug grin on his handsome face.
"Of course I can't do that, but you use it once? No blowjob. You use it twice? No handjob. You're so crazy to use it three times? You don't get anything at all." I said seriously, pointing my index finger at him. Unfortunately he didn't seem too impressed.
In fact, his smirk was still in place as he pulled me against him, "Are you already counting little cupcake?"
I rolled my eyes, snorting, "Yes cuddle muffin."
"So a blowjob is out of the picture I'm assuming," Nolan retorted and faked a frown, looking like he was genuinely having fun. Too much fun, while I was annoyed to death.
My eyes narrowed on him, "You don't have to over sell it. No one's going to believe that we're that happy."
"Because you always act like you have a stick up your butt?" He grinned, "Maybe they'll all thank me for bringing out your human side."
"That's two. No blowjob and no handjob," I said in a flat tone, not liking how he'd just described me but not showing that either, while his eyebrows shot up.
"I didn't call you cupcake."
I shook my head and crossed my arms over hermy chest, "No, but you're annoying me instead."
He leaned his head closer to mine so that his lips were almost touching my ear. I could smell his cologne already, that delicious scent alone making me a little weak. "No matter how many times I say it, you're still going to let me eat you out later," He whispered.
"Try me," I said flatly and stubbornly, doing my best to resist him.
"I'm going to make you cum so many times tonight cupcake," He said and grinned, kissing the spot behind my ear that always drove me crazy. That was a low blow.
I couldn't help shivering, my body doing things my brain didn't want to do. He had called me a b.itch basically and I had no intention to reward him for that with anything, unfortunally I already felt the heat in my panties. "I'm telling you, being called cupcake is the biggest turn off ever."
"Oh really?" He asked as he pulled his head back enough for me to notice the smug grin on his handsome face, "Am I wrong or you just shivered instead?"
"I'm cold." I lied unshamedly, not looking at him on purpose because he was so hot that it was really hard to resist him, it was a thing that made me mad. It wasn't fair, my hormones threw parties everytime he was close to me.
His smirk got wider as her wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling my body against his, "Poor cupcake, do you need me to cuddle you and make you warm?" He asked before kissing my nose that was something that I hate as much as kisses on my forehead.
I fought the urge of slapping his face and shrugged instead, trying to play his same game, "I don't know, you're the expert, cuddle muffin."
At that he broke into a laugh, one that made him look painfully gorgeous. "You look like you want to kill me Eva." He pointed out, of course noticing how I was no good at this.
"Trust me I'm considering the option." I sighed, resigned at this point.
"Well your father is headed in our direction, so you might have to wait," Nolan shot me another smirk, watching me regain my composure instantly.
"Don't you dare say anything embarrassing," I hissed under my breath, a fake smile on my lips.
"I don't know the meaning of the word," He tightened his arm around my waist, giving me a little squeeze.
My face remained determined, "I'm serious Nolan."
"Have I told you how beautiful you look tonight?" He kissed my cheek and when he pulled his head back, my cheeks were flushed pink.
"Stop that," I tried to wave him away nonchalantly.
"I'm serious," He replied with the same determination he found so sexy in me. "I'm getting an erection just thinking about what you're wearing under that dress... or not wearing."
I open my mouth then I closed it again, shaking my head, "Of course." I muttered under my breath.
He blinked his eyes at me, faking an innocent expression that didn't fit him at all. "What?"
"For once I was thinking that you were complimenting me without involving sex but of course I was wrong..." I trailed off in a sigh, thinking that I had wanted this in the first place so I couldn't really complain right now.
A smirk dimpled his scruffy cheeks, his hand moving down my back and dangerously close to my a.ss, "It was a compliment anyway." He pointed out and he was right. "You didn't answer though."
"I didn't hear your question." I retorted flatly.
"What's underneath?" He asked in my ear as his hand inched further down until it was cupping my cheek.
I pulled my head back to glare at him, "If you keep acting like this you won't find out."
"Can't I touch my fiancé now?!" He protested with a smirk that went from ear to ear while I sighed again. He was having way to much fun.
"Didn't you say that my father was coming to us?" I asked instead, ignoring him.
Nolan tore his eyes from mine and looked across the floor where my parents looked hesitant to approach. Flashing them his best smile, he nodded his head, "I'm probably getting too handsy with their daughter."
"I agree and you should stop," I concurred with him while he kept smiling, my parents closer and closer. For a moment all this faking seemed a really bad idea.
"What's your fathers name?" He gave my ass a quick squeeze before returning his hand to my waist.
I sighed for the umpteenth time, "Richard. Do that one more time and I'll cut your hand off and you'll never be able to touch me again."
"Good thing I have two hands," He got it right before my parents made their way over to us. "Richard! I've been dying to meet you. Eva's told me all about you."
His eyes flashed to me before the two of us awkwardly hugged, "I wish I could say the same."
Nolan held his hand out in his direction, "I'm Nolan."
"So I've heard," He retorted flatly and dismissed his hand, being the grumpy man he was most of the time.
"Richard," My mom muttered under her breath and nudged him, his hand finally meeting Nolan's as they shook it off.
I let out a sigh before I could even realize it. "Nolan is my-"
"Fiancè. Your mom told me." My father cut me off shortly, his eyes studying the man standing next to me and I had the feeling that he would have a hard time with my dad. Mom was easier to charme, while my dad...well, I was like him and that said a lot, with the difference that I had a soft spot for handsome men when of course my dad didn't.
I plastered a smile on my face, trying to make it look as genuine as possible, "I was waiting for the right time to tell you." I explained, "I didn't want to break the news on the phone."
"She was so impatient though." Nolan added, smirking at me while I wanted to slap that expression off his face.
"I bet." My dad retorted flatly, never buying that kind of bulls.hit since I was never the girl who shared her thoughts or her feelings. His eyes moved to my fake fiancè, "So Nolan, since we know nothing about you...what's your job?" He asked, of course worrying about his social position first.
"I work at Apple Sir." He answered politely even though I knew it was all an act to look all holy when he was the opposite.
"What do you do exactly?" My dad went on and I knew from the look into his eyes that he wanted to give him the third degree. Not that I could blame him, but I was a grown up woman and he had no say in my decisions. Even on fake ones.
"Richard we'll have plenty of time to know Nolan." My mom cut into the conversation, her eyes bouncing between the two men, "Why don't you guys come over for dinner next week?" She asked, killing me because I knew it couldn't happen. Well, it could, and it'd be a torture...I was curious to know what Nolan would come up with to avoid that. On one hand, I thought he almost deserved that, but on the other I knew it was just pointless since we weren't getting married ever.
"I'd love to," Nolan replied before even giving me the chance. My plan was to agree then cancel last minute but since Nolan seemed so thrilled? Maybe I'd make this happen.
"We have the big merger next week," I smiled up at him, looking at him to let him know that I wanted him to back the fuck off.
He shook his head, "We can always make time for your family." He leaned closer to kiss my cheek before softly adding, "Our family."
My mom looked positively radiant, clasping her hands together while my dad looked like he still wanted to slap him upside of the head. Which was what I wanted to do too. "We're going to leave you two lovebirds alone, but I'll get back to you with a date that'll work for everyone. I can't wait," She practically squealed, a little too excited and I knew why, she probabably thought this day would never come. And it wouldn't technically.
"It was great meeting you," Nolan took her hand and brought it up to his mouth, pressing a kiss against its back. I swear, I couldn't believe my own eyes. "Richard," He nodded in his direction with his best smile. He still wasn't buying what Nolan was selling, thank god.
"Eva, you look like you need to eat a cheeseburger or two," He said instead and awkwardly hugged me once more.
"Thank you dad," I said in a flat tone, letting go of him and faking that smile again.
"Well that wasn't so bad now, was it?" Nolan said through a smile as they walked away.
Another sigh escaped my pouty lips, "I kind of hate you right now."
He turned to me and pulled me into him like he really believed in what he was doing, like a loving fiancè he wasn't. "Are we having our first fight?" He grinned at me, pressing a kiss against my lips before I had the chance to say anything.
I kissed him back as I ran my hand up the back of his neck, my fingers tangling with his hair. "It wouldn't be the first." I said against his lips.
"And you're still kissing me." He grinned wide, "What a lucky man I am."
"That was just because I'm tired of hearing you and your craziness." I sighed and pulled back regretfully, because despite everything he was still really handsome.
"My craziness?" He echoed me with a laugh and didn't let me go, keeping his arm around my waist to prevent me from going anywhere. "You started this Eva."
"But you liked it so much that now you've earned a dinner with my parents." I retorted as I narrowed my eyes on him. Seen from the outside we had to look odd, the charming man and the bitch who kept glaring at him.
He didn't seem fazed at all and keep his smirk in place, "It's not like we're really going."
I plastered a big fake smile on my face, cupping his chin before making a kissy face, "Of course we're going cupcake." I said in a silly tone before my mask dropped and I snorted. "You were so convincing that now if you want to get out of this? You'll talk with my mom yourself. It shouldn't be a problem since she likes you already."
"Your dad hates me instead." He pointed out, still looking amused and only annoying me more.
"I told you, I'm a lot like him."
