Cause you're a good girl and you know it.

Cause you're a good girl and you know it.

I rolled over in bed, my eyelids still not budging even though someone kept knocking on my door. Probably the neighbor. Who else would be banging on my door so damn early? It was my day off. "Nolan, it's me!" A voice yelled out, loud enough for me to hear and a groan escaped me in response.

It was Sunday. What the hell was Eva doing at my place on a Sunday morning?

I crawled out of bed, still half naked and even worse, still half asleep. Swinging the door open, I was almost too tired to even check her out. Almost. I'd never met a woman who could look good no matter what time of the day it was. "If you come over so early in the morning the least you should do is wearing no clothes," I said in a groggy voice.

"I have no time for sexy business. And it's not that early anyway," She said nonchalantly as she walked past me and headed straight to my room while I closed the door and had no other option but to follow her. She dropped a big black bag that she had in her arms only seconds earlier. "I need a favor," She breathed out as she spun on her heels and stared at me.

I leaned my shoulder against the door frame and crossed my arms against my chest as I moved my eyes from her body to her face. Maybe it was still early, but god was she hot. "I hope it involves take that fancy dress off of you," I said with a grin on my face.

"Maybe later," She bit down on her plump bottom lip, using her best cards to convince me.

I raised one eyebrow slowly, the look on my face both curious and wary. This was a woman who never asked any one for a favor. She was independent and stubborn, both two things that had drawn me to her. "Why? What happens now?" I asked.

She walked over to me and set both hands on my chest, "You're coming with me to San Francisco."

"Eva." I smirked at her and shook my head, vaguely amused, "Since when can't you say things just like they are? Shoot."

"...can you come with me to my cousin's wedding please?" She said in one quick breath, making a face that looked like it actually pained her to ask. And for once, I couldn't blame her.

"No," I shook my head again, my smirk fading and my lips pursing together.

"Please," She begged as she ran her hands up my neck and stared at me intently, "I'd do anything you want in return."

I furrowed my brows, dropping my hands on her hips and pulling away slightly, "I didn't even know you had any family here other than your parents."

"Well, now you do," She shrugged about to say something else but I cut her off before she had the chance.

"Why do you even want me to come? I had never met anyone and I thought we were on the same page-"

"We are but when you're 27 and you go to a wedding alone? Everyone looks at you with pity," She explained and it was her turn to cut me off. "I need a fake boyfriend to go with."

I snorted, first this going from a date to a fake relationship? Whatever happened to sex with no attachments? Did I need to buy her flowers too? Eat dinner with her parents and then go back to their place for a nightcap? No thank you. "Boyfriend? Why not fiance instead," I joked.

She lit up and I got a sinking feeling in my chest. "That'd work even better." She nodded seriously, "Can you be my fake fiance? Please? Everyone will forget about you by tomorrow I promise."

"It was a joke," I said flatly, sighing as I moved my hands away from her tight body to run them through my hair. Which was a mess. I wasn't even in the state of mind to go to a wedding today... didn't you have to psych yourself up for those? Then again, what did I know? I hadn't been to a wedding in about ten years when my cousin got married. Two kids later, he was already going through an awful divorce and his wife was once again pregnant with another mans child. "No. God no."

This time, she set her hands on her hips and glared at me, "Why not? Give me one good reason."

"I don't believe in marriage," I said honestly, not wanting to go into this conversation with her since it seemed pointless.

"Your parents have been married for 35 years," She retorted and I widened my eyes slightly, surprised she had remembered that little fact about me.

"And they hate each other," I concluded. It was true. Imagine being stuck with someone you didn't get along with for 35 years. It sounded like a nightmare and I to this day wasn't sure what my parents were trying to prove, who they were trying to fool, or if they were just missing a few brain cells. Don't get me wrong, I loved my parents, but their marriage was depressing enough to reassure me that it wasn't something I wanted for my future. Eva on the other hand, with her pouty lips and wide eyes, she made it hard to say no. "Why me anyways? I could give you the numbers for at least ten guys who would kill to go on a date with you and pretend to be your fiance."

Her arms moved to cross over her chest, her breasts looking unbelievable in the dress she had on. I was dying to see what she had on underneath it.... but that seemed unrealistic unless I agreed to go with her. "What do you have against weddings?"

I shrugged, "Honestly? I've been to five in my life and can only remember one."
"So?"

"Won't your parents be there?"

"Yes," She stared at me with a straight face, trying to understand what my point was, "So?"

I raised one eyebrow at her, "Wouldn't they wonder why you never told them about getting engaged?"

She shrugged nonchalantly, while I wondered how she could be so casual about this topic. "I'd say you just asked," She replied as if it were nothing.

"And what would they say when you won't get married?" I pressed on, trying to be rational.

"I'd blame it on you," She answered flatly even though it was supposed to joke, sighing as she ran a hand through her long hair, "Can I make myself some coffee? You can go back to bed."

I just nodded and stared at her, watching as she broke eye contact in favor of spinning on her heels and heading to the kitchen. She was pissed off and that much was obvious. "Why can't you go alone?" I asked, breaking the silence and making her realize that I was just a few steps behind her.

"You just don't understand." She shook her head as she poured the hot liquid into a cup, not bothering to look at me, "If a guy is single in his late 20s or early 30s? He's still a charming bachelor, if a woman is? She's the poor loser who can't get herself a man."

I sighed, believing her since I'd heard the same thing from enough women. Hell, most of my friends were already getting married and their wifes were starting to nag about having a baby. Something about biological clocks. It was all such bullshit. People were having kids well into their 40's nowadays. Who cared if they were old when their kids graduated high school? "It's not true," I said with my eyes on her tight body, thankful that she was still ignoring me with her eyes otherwise she'd probably slap me upside the head for checking her out.

"It is, but you wouldn't know since you're not a woman," She said flatly and turned back to look at me, eyes cold. "Lucky you."

I shook my head and resisted the urge to roll my eyes, "I meant that you're not a loser. You're driven, successful-"

"Well thank you for the flattery, unfortunately for you, it's not going to have me falling in your bed today," She cut me off and I about groaned at the way she was acting.

I remained silent for a moment, surprised that I was actually considering it, "What's in it for me?"

"Am I supposed to reward you for every good deed you do?" She lifted a brow at me, "You're not a dog."

I let out a snort, "Your attitude isn't helping your case. Do I have to dance?"

She shook her head slowly and let her eyes graze me, just as attracted to me as I was to her. Maybe we lacked in other parts, but that attraction? God, it was strong. "No. I've seen you dance before and trust me, no one needs to see that," She said finally and this time, a genuine laugh escaped me.

"I'll go with you," I replied and crossed my arms over my chest to imitate her own body language which was still kind of cold.

"On what conditions?"

"I'll drive," I said while her face remained skeptical. "And you'll give me road head both ways."

It was a joke... but if she was willing to oblige? Then all the better.

She rolled her eyes and an almost inaudible sigh escaped her, "Never mind. Forget I asked."

"I was joking," I smiled and stepped closer to her, breaking the distance as I set both hands on her hips. "So what's in the bag? You didn't rent me a suit, did you?"

"God no," She answered as she kept a straight face, "I bought you one."

My eyes widened in surprise before I raised one eyebrow at her, "You're kidding me."

"Renting clothes is gross," She explained as she scrunched up her nose, looking adorable even though her words were a little insane. Why would she buy me a suit when I had a closet full? "What if the person that wears it before you has bad hygiene?"

"They wash it before renting it again," I retorted, shooting her a smirks.

"Still." She shrugged her shoulders as she downed her coffee, setting the now empty cup on the kitchen counter before she set her hands on my chest, "You're welcome."

My hands moved onto her back and then down to her ass, "What if I had said no?"

"I'd change it with something for me," She answered simply.

"Uhm," I mumbled unintelligently as I nodded, the exact answer I had expected from her. "And what if it doesn't fit me?"

At that she let out a soft chuckle, "I undressed you so many times that I know your clothes better than yourself." She pressed a chaste kiss on my lips before pulling away.

I sighed but the grin on my lips stayed the same, "I'm starting to feel like a gigolo." I joked before starting for my room.

She refilled her cup of coffee before following me. "You'd make a lot of money," She said seriously and walked over to my bed where she sat down.

"You'd have to start paying me and you'd become poor." I reached for the big bag and opened it, peeking inside before looking up at Eva again, "Blue?"

"It looks good on you and you don't have many."

I pulled it out of the bag and shook my head, realizing just how familiar we were with each other. She knew my closet like the back of her hand... I knew her body like the back of mine. "This is weird," I said, more to myself than to her. We were starting to sound and look like a couple.

"Oh come on don't make a big deal out of it," She snorted, setting her cup on my bedside table before laying down on the bed, making me wish we could skip the wedding all together and stay in my bed instead.

"It's Armani," I lift my brow again after reading the tag, moving my gaze back to Eva whos legs looked not only endless but smooth. My hands were itching to touch them, slide my palms all the way up them to her -
"Your point?" She cut me off mid-daydream which was probably for the best. I shook my head for the umpteenth time and laid the suit on my bed beside her, pulling the pieces apart one at a time. "You're not going to shower first? She added when I didn't say anything but focused on dressing myself.

"Only if you join me," I replied with another smirk playing on my lips before sliding my head into the shirt and tucking it.

She rolled her eyes but smirked back at me as I pulled my arms into the jacket, "You'd make us late."

"But I'd make you cum," I said with my eyes back on her legs, more so her thighs. I really wouldn't be opposed to showing up late.

"Later." She pushed herself off the bed and smoothed her dress out with both hands, "Are you ready then?"

I looked down at myself, I was missing a tie, needed to brush my teeth and wash my face. And shoes. God damn, I was still tired. "Do I look ready?" I asked and brushed past her towards the bedroom, washing my face first and realizing that I shouldn't have gotten dressed first. Oh well. I wiped my face down with the towel and groaned inwardly before reaching my toothbrush. My eye caught Eva in the mirror and I noticed something had changed. That confident air she always had surrounding her was gone and she looked nervous... I couldn't ever remember seeing her nervous. I rinsed my mouth out and put my toothbrush back, walking into the room and reaching for the tie before she beat me to it and shifted her body closer to mine, almost leaning her chest against mine.

"Let me help you," She said as she slid her free hand up my chest then wrapped the tie around my neck, tying it carefully but without a doubt perfectly. She'd done this so many times that it'd become a habit between us.

"Are you nervous?" I asked when she made eye contact with me.

"Do I look nervous?"

"A little," I answered honestly and moved my eyes from hers to her hands as they smoothed my tie before buttoning my jacket, my own hands on her hips.

She shrugged nonchalantly, taking a step back to have a better look of me and smirking when she realized that I still needed a pair of shoes. "I guess it's normal, it's the first time I have a fiancè," She winked at me, playing it off since if we started to talk about it more seriously she'd probably only get more nervous.

"Shocking," I said back in a teasing tone, a smirk forming on my lips as I grabbed the shoes she had reached for in the meantime and sitting on the bed to put them on, "You're such a great fan of commitment, I'm surprised the wedding is not your own."

"I know right? Maybe we should really get married," She played along with me before rolling her eyes and her face went serious once again, "You're ready now, let's go."

I guess I had no other choice, standing up and shooting her a glare as we walked to the door, me grabbing my phone and keys in the process. "Look at us, arguing like a real couple," I kept teasing, knowing it'd help her relax.

"If we keep this up, everyone will buy our lie."

"Your lie," I pointed out as we walked to her car, my arm stretching out and my hand waiting for the keys.

"Same difference," She retorted flatly, fishing for the keys in her small bag and giving them to me. "You better treat my car right."

I shot her a big grin as I opened the door, "What does that even mean?"

"It means, don't drive like a psycho. Or like a sissy," She said seriously then allowed herself to smirk, leaning into me and pressing a quick kiss on the corner of my mouth before adjusting herself in the seat and buckling up.

----

"Do you know anyone here?" I asked as my eyes scanned the reception room which was made up of mostly women. Not that I was complaining.

From the corner of my eye, Eva kept shifting her weight around, looking nervous despite her constant attempt to hide it. "Of course I know people here," She bit back at me and turned her head in my direction to add a glare. She was so damn sexy when she did that. Then again, when wasn't she? "It's my cousins wedding. My family is here." "Where?" I looked around, trying to guess what her parents might look like... her mom had to be stunning. We didn't sit by her during the ceremony which I found odd. We sat alone in the last row, kind of like we were hiding from everyone. Again, I wasn't complaining. I might've dosed off a little during the first vows.

A tiny groan escaped her and she pressed her body against mine, slipping her arm through mine to link them together, "That's my aunt in the black."
"A family member of yours wearing black to a wedding? I can't say that I'm surprised," I joked with a smirk playing on my lips.

"She doesn't approve of the man my cousins marrying," She added matter-of-factly. Maybe the wedding wouldn't be so bad after all; the attention would all be on the scandalous cousin marrying a man her mother didn't approve of.

"And why is that?" I asked, genuinely curious.

She shrugged her shoulders slightly, "He's in his 50s."

"Age isn't important."
"His kids are her age," She added and wrinkled her nose. I grinned at the expression on her face and leaned in to kiss her nose first and then her lips, a little more than chastely. "Stop that!"

Both brows shot up, "Stop what? Would you rather me treat you like a hooker? No kissing, just fu-"

"Eva, I didn't know you were bringing a guest," A voice cut in. It had to be Eva's mom, they had the same dick sucking lips. I know that we weren't really engaged, but I was a lucky man nonetheless.

Eva parted her lips then closed them, trying to act normal even though this moment was anything buy. "Hi mom," She said eventually, leaning into her to kiss her cheek. Once she pulled back, a fake smile was plastered on her face. Women. "He's Nolan, my b-"

"Fiancé," I ended her sentence before she had the chance to blow that one, stretching my arm out as my lips curved into a charming grin.

Her moms eyes widened a little, bouncing between the two of us, "I had no idea you were even seeing someone."

Eva looped her arm around mine as she pushed her side against me, even looking up at me with an enamoured expression in her eyes. "It all happened so fast and I was waiting to see you to tell you."

Her brows furrowed together while I prayed that she'd buy all of it, weddings were bad enough as is. "So...when did you two meet?" She asked, already getting on the motherly protective side no matter if her daughter was a grown woman. It was cute.

I turned my head in her direction and shot her a real smirk, "Four years ago." I could still remember the short skirt she had on that day and how bad I wanted to peel it from her perfect body. I'd never been so attracted to someone up until that moment. Sure I'd had my fair share of women... but Eva was in a category all by herself. Someone that good looking? God damn. I was getting a little hard just thinking about her undressing.

"I thought it happened fast," Her mom pointed out, not once missing a beat.

Eva nodded her head as she smiled, trying to look as convincing as possible, "We've been friends for a very long time, just lately we realised that what we have is a lot more than a friendship."
I smiled back at her as she peeked up at me, "It took a while but it was worth it."

"Oh?" Her moms eyes widened just ever so slightly, not buying our bullshit or just wanting to hear our story - you never knew with women.

I nodded and squeezed Eva's tiny waist to pull her even closer, "Your daughter is more than worth it. I still can't believe what a lucky man I am." And to my defense, there was a lot of truth to that statement.

"Oh stop, you're going to make me blush," She cut in and I got the feeling that she really did want me to stop. But why stop there? I was on a roll.

I shook my head, "I couldn't keep my eyes off of her the first time she walked into my office... still can't." Her eyes were narrowing on me at this point. I'd be paying for it later for sure. "You've got an amazing daughter Mrs. Blunt."

"Call me Sabrina," She eased up finally and smiled, her accent showing through.

I nodded my head, "It's nice to finally meet you, Sabrina. I can see where Eva gets her good looks."

She made a weird strangling sound from beside me, almost too quiet to hear. "Enough talk about me," She cut in and gave my arm a tight squeeze, showing me that she meant what she was saying and that if I kept going, chances were that I wouldn't be getting laid tonight. Which would be a shame.

I turned my head in her direction and grinned before kissing her forehead, knowing how she hated it. She wrinkled her nose and I let out a soft chuckle, "Sorry cupcake. You know how I get when I talk about you."

"Cupcake," Her mom repeated, missing the glare Eva was giving me.

"My nickname for her," I shrugged slightly. "My little cupcake."

She smiled back big and brushed her nose against mine. "Aw my cuddle muffin," She said in a disgustingly sweet voice, paying me back as she turned to face her mom, "He's so cute...isn't he cute?"

She nodded nonchalantly, "I've never seen you like this with anyone."

"I hadn't found my other half yet," She said as she cuddled against my side, setting her cheek on my shoulder and trying not to even blink when I pinched her side.

Her mom shot us both a skeptical look which was probably because we were both smiling and acting like idiots, but I blamed it all on Eva since if it wasn't for her lie, we wouldn't be here. "You should meet my husband, Nolan," She said eventually. "I'm going to find him and I'll be right back."

"We can't wait," Eva said back and waited for her to be far enough for me to glare at me, "Call me again cupcake and-"

"And what? You'll break up with me?" I cut her off with a smug grin on my face.

"Of course I can't do that, but you use it once? No blowjob. You use it twice? No handjob. You're so crazy to use it three times? You don't get anything at all," She said seriously, pointing an index finger at me.

My smirk stayed in place as I pulled her back against me, "Are you already counting little cupcake?"

She rolled her eyes, snorting, "Yes cuddle muffin."

"So a blowjob is out of the picture I'm assuming," I retorted and faked a frown, having too much fun messing with her since she was always so serious. This whole thing had to be driving her crazy.

Her eyes narrowed on me, "You don't have to over sell it. No one's going to believe that we're that happy."

"Because you always act like you have a stick up your butt?" I grinned, "Maybe they'll all thank me for bringing out your human side."
"That's two. No blowjob and no handjob," She said in a flat tone while my eyebrows shot up.

"I didn't call you cupcake."

She shook her head and crossed her arms over her chest, "No, but you're annoying me instead."

I leaned my head closer to hers so that my lips were almost touching her ear. I was so close that I could smell her sweet perfume. "No matter how many times I say it, you're still going to let me eat you out later," I whisper, tempted to kiss the place underneath her eat that drove her crazy.

"Try me," She said flatly and stubbornly.

"I'm going to make you cum so many times tonight cupcake," I said and grinned, not able to resist any longer and kissing the spot.

She couldn't help shivering, a scowl still on her gorgeous face, "I'm telling you, being called cupcake is the biggest turn off ever."

"Oh really?" I asked as I pulled my head back enough for her to notice the smug grin on my face, "Am I wrong or did you just shivered instead?"

"I'm cold," She lied, not looking at me on purpose, the attraction between the two of us too strong at times. I knew that one from experience.

My smirk got wider as I wrapped my arms around her tiny waist, pulling her body against me. "Poor cupcake, do you need me to cuddle you and make you warm?" I asked before kissing her nose that was something she hated as much as kisses on the forehead.

Eva shrugged, trying to play the same game, "I don't know, you're the expert, cuddle muffin."

At that I broke into a laugh, "You look like you want to kill me Eva."

"Trust me I'm considering the option," She sighed, resigned at this point.

"Well your father is headed in our direction, so you might have to wait," I shot her another smirk, watching her regain her composure instantly. It was like the woman had an on and off switch.

"Don't you dare say anything embarrassing," She hissed under her breath, a fake smile on her lips.

"I don't know the meaning of the word," I tightened my arm around her waist, giving her a little squeeze.

Her face remained determined, "I'm serious Nolan."

"Have I told you how beautiful you look tonight?" I kissed her cheek and when I pulled my head back, her cheeks were flushed pink.

"Stop that," She tried to wave me away nonchalantly.

"I'm serious," I replied with the same determination I found so sexy in her. "I'm getting an erection just thinking about what you're wearing under that dress... or not wearing."

She open her mouth then closed it again, shaking her head, "Of course."

I blinked my eyes at her, faking an innocent expression that didn't fit me at all, "What?"

"For once I was thinking that you were complimenting me without involving sex but of course I was wrong..." She trailed off in a sigh, probably regretting ever asking me to do this favor for her.

A smirk dimpled my scruffy cheeks, a hand moving down her back and dangerously close to her ass, "It was a compliment anyway." I pointed out and I was right. Plus she always looked gorgeous, my words were true. "You didn't answer though."

"I didn't hear your question," She retorted flatly.

"What's underneath?" I asked in her ear as my hand inched further down until it was cupping her cheek.

She pulled her head back to glare at me, "If you keep acting like this you won't find out."

"Can't I touch my fiancĂ© now?!" I protested with a smirk that went from ear to ear while she sighed again.

"Didn't you say that my father was coming to us?" She asked instead, ignoring me.

I tore my eyes from hers and looked across the floor where her parents looked hesitant to approach. Flashing them my best smile, I nodded my head, "I'm probably getting too handsy with their daughter."

"I agree and you should stop," She concurred with me while I kept smiling, her parents closer and closer. There was no turning back now.

"What's your fathers name?" I gave her ass a quick squeeze before returning my hand to her waist.

She sighed for the umpteenth time, "Richard. Do that one more time and I'll cut your hand off and you'll never be able to touch me again."

"Good thing I have two hands," I got it right before her parents made their way over to us. "Richard! I've been dying to meet you. Eva's told me all about you."

His eyes flashed to his daughter before the two of them awkwardly hugged, "I wish I could say the same."

I held my hand out in his direction, "I'm Nolan."

"So I've heard," He retorted flatly and dismissed my hand, his daughter clearly taking after him when it came to manners.

"Richard," His wife muttered under her breath and nudged him, his hand finally meeting mine as we shook it off.

She let out a sigh before she could even realize it, "Nolan is my-"

"Fiancè. Your mom told me," Her father cut her off shortly, his eyes studying me. The man looked like he wanted to kill me.

Eva plastered a smile on her face, trying to make it look as genuine as possible, "I was waiting for the right time to tell you. I didn't want to break the news on the phone."

"She was so impatient though," I added, smirking at her while she gave me a look that resembled her fathers.

"I bet," He retorted flatly, not buying the bullshit we were trying to sell him. "So Nolan, since we know nothing about you...what's your job?"

"I work at Apple Sir," I answered politely.

"What do you do exactly?" He went on and by the look in his eyes, he wanted to give me the third degree.

"Richard we'll have plenty of time to know Nolan," His wife cut into the conversation, her eyes bouncing between the two of us, "Why don't you guys come over for dinner next week?"

"I'd love to," I replied before even giving Eva the chance. Of course she'd probably agree to it and then end up cancelling at the last minutes, but who knew, maybe we could see how long this charade could go.

"We have the big merger next week," She smiled up at me, the glint in her eye telling me to back the fuck off. It was a little too late for that now though.

I shook my head, "We can always make time for your family." I leaned closer to kiss her cheek before softly adding, "Our family."

Her mom looked positively radiant, clasping her hands together while Richard looked like he still wanted to slap me upside of the head. "We're going to leave you two lovebirds alone, but I'll get back to you with a date that'll work for everyone. I can't wait," She practically squealed, weddings always doing that to the female race.

"It was great meeting you," I took her hand and brought it up to my mouth, pressing a kiss against its back. "Richard," I nodded in his direction with my best smile. He still wasn't buying what I was selling.

"Eva, you look like you need to eat a cheeseburger or two," He said instead and awkwardly hugged his daughter once more.

"Thank you dad," She said in a flat tone, letting go of him and faking that smile again.

"Well that wasn't so bad now, was it?" I said through a smile as they walked away.

Another sigh escaped her pouty lips, "I kind of hate you right now."

I turned to her and pulled her into me so that to anyone else it'd look like we were just another couple in love. "Are we having our first fight?" I grinned at her, pressing a kiss against her soft lips before she had the chance to give me some sarcastic response.

She kissed me back as she ran her hand up the back of my neck, her fingers tangling with my hair. "It wouldn't be the first," She said against my lips.

"And you're still kissing me." I grinned wide, "What a lucky man I am."

"That was just because I'm tired of hearing you and your craziness," She sighed and pulled back regretfully.

"My craziness?" I echoed with a laugh and didn't let her go, keeping an arm around her tiny waist to prevent her from going anywhere. "You started this Eva."

"But you liked it so much that now you've earned a dinner with my parents," She retorted as she narrowed those pretty eyes on me.

I wasn't even the slightest fazed though, keeping my smirk in place, "It's not like we're really going."

She plastered a big fake smile on her face, cupping my chin before making a kissy face. "Of course we're going cupcake," She said in a silly tone before her mask dropped and she snorted. "You were so convincing that now if you want to get out of this? You'll talk with my mom yourself. It shouldn't be a problem since she likes you already."

"Your dad hates me instead," I pointed out, still amused and it was probably only annoying her more.

"I told you, I'm a lot like him."
