Lifes a tour, I'm so sure.

Lifes a tour, I'm so sure.

I walked into the coffee shop, scanning the empty tables before finding Ben sitting by the window, a silly ass grin on his face with his hands cradling his phone. "Thinking about the perfect sext message to send me?" I joked and slipped into the seat across from him, reaching for the full cup of coffee he'd ordered me.

"No." He laughed and shook his head, making the screen on his iPhone go black before setting it down, "Cami was texting me."

"Naked pictures?" I joked, eyeing his cup to get a feel for how late I was. It was half empty already, so I wasn't running as late as I had thought.

"Actually, kind of," He replied and I grinned with wide eyes. "Hey, don't look so surprised! Just because we're parents, it doesn't mean we're old and boring."

I laughed and smiled at my friend, "So you keep telling me."

"Out of the two of us," He used a hand to motion between us, "I'm the fun one, remember?"
"How could I forget?" I winked at him.

He smirked and leaned back in his seat, "You're nearly half an hour late. What held you up? And if it was my sister, please spare me the details."

"Your mom did actually," I smirked. "Should I spare you the details still?"

He rolled his eyes but kept grinning, "Were you talking to her about moving offices?"
I shook my head, "You'll need an office before I can request the move to be by my best friend."

"Get ready because it's going to happen soon," He smirked, sipping his coffee as he looked at me.

"So you keep saying about many things..." I trailed off, a teasing smirk on my face as I reciprocated the look he was giving me.

He broke into a ridiculously big grin, "Cami and I are engaged."

I wasn't surprised even a bit, but shot him a genuine smile as I clasped a hand around his shoulder, "Congrats Ben!" I paused to shake my head, "It was about damn time."

He nodded in agreement, since yes, it had taken really too long. Better late than never though. "I know. You're the first to know, after Gabe of course."

"I feel special," I grinned back at him, a hand to my heart as I made a silly face, "I'm honored, really."

"As you should be," He pointed out, leaving it at that. "You'll feel even more honored when we'll go shopping together. And now just us...Gabe too. He said he wants to match us."

I broke into a laugh, "Will we all be matching?! If we show up in the same tux, I'll put you to shame and we can't have that happening on your big day."

He shook his head and laughed with me, "You're an ass."

"Maybe," I smirked. "And if the kid is matching us? What's the point in even dressing up? It'll be Gabe's big day instead of yours."
Ben grinned and nodded his head, "Now you have a point there. My son is pretty damn cute."

I nodded my head, "I agree." He let out a sigh and looked so relaxed and happy, happier than I'd seen him in a long time. After the whole thing with me and Chloe... well, our friendship had seen better days. We were finally getting past that now and I was thankful for it. "So have you set a date yet?"

"Cami suggested Spring," He started and looked lost in his thoughts for a moment. "We agreed on April, but we haven't decided on a date yet. I guess it'll come down to when we can book the venue."

"Ah, the dreaded wedding planning," I lifted a brow. "Will you be helping her plan or are you one of those guys who expects the bride to take care of it all?"

"You know, if Cami was the kind of girl who starts obsessing and goes crazy wanting to organize everything, I'd probably step aside and let her do whatever she wants," He started explaining, knowing his future wife better than anyone.

"I can't see Cami becoming like one of those girls you see in wedding shows," I pointed out, agreeing with him.

"Do you watch that shows?" He asked with one eyebrow raised, amusement on his face.

"Sure, I do while I knit," I answer back with a grin as big as his, our sense of humors kind of going hand in hand.

Ben only smirked wider at my words, but went back to the subject at hand, "I told her I'll do anything she wants me to do. I don't really have an opinion about how things have to be at our wedding, all I care about is that I'm marrying her. So as long as I have Cami and a macaron tower? I'll be happy."

"No wonder why she's marrying you," I replied, bringing my coffee to my mouth to take a sip.

"Nah, she's marrying me for my looks and because we make cute babies," He joked as he shrugged his shoulders.

I cracked a grin, "Yeah, Gabe mentioned that the other night."

He lifted his brow at me, "Oh, have you been hanging out with my son?"

I laughed and nodded my head, "I was at Chloe's when your mom brought him over... You might need to watch out, Gabe might soon take your place as my best friend."

Ben laughed along with me and rolled his eyes, "I'd be heart broken."

I grinned wider and shook my head, "Can we go back to what you were saying about your wedding requirements? Did you seriously say a macaron tower? What the fuck is that??"

"Right. I forgot you were Australian," He said with an exaggerated sigh, like I was the crazy one.

"I know what a macaron is... but why?? Why do you want a bunch of macarons shaped like a Christmas tree?" I asked while trying not to grin even more like an idiot. I couldn't help it though. Ben fucking killed me.

"First of all? It's not like a stupid Christmas tree. It's a cone. Didn't you do geometry in high school?" He asked back, a teasing grin playing on his lips. "And I don't know, I love macarons."

I kept smirking, beyond amused, "Sure, who doesn't, but why? It's so random."

He thought about it, "I won't get to decide anything...I just like the idea of eating my favorite sweet on my wedding."

I shook my head but my grin didn't fade, "I swear, you kill me Ben."

"You still look very alive to me," He pointed out, sipping what was left of his coffee. "And wait a moment. Did you just say you spent time with Chloe and my son? Damn."

I grinned and nodded, "We babysat him. You're welcome."

He laughed and shook his head, "The coffee is on me today, so you're welcome."

"Thank you," I said with a grin, thinking back to the night we watched Gabe. He was a smart kid... a lot like Ben. It made me wonder how their family dynamics would change once they'd have another, if Ben would still have time to go out for coffee with me. Kids changed everything. "So have you ordered another baby yet?" I added with my grin widening.

"I put in an order this morning, so we'll see," He winked and I tossed my head back to laugh.

"Too much info," I replied.

"Too much info?!" He said back, "I only told you that I had sex with my fiancè."

I grinned, "Still."

"I didn't tell you we were in the shower and-" He started before I cut him off, raising one hand.

"I got that, thank you," I laughed and Ben did too. "If you keep that up? You'll have your kid before you get married."

He kept smirking at me, looking so incredibly happy, "I doubt that, but never say never."

"Kids are a lot of work, you might want to think about that," I pointed out.

"I know that, I have one already, remember?" He said in a teasing tone.

"But Gabe's a big boy now," I went on, having a point.

He faked a serious expression, staring at me, "Are you worried I won't have time for our dates anymore?"

I snorted and shook my head, "No, our dates would still happen but your sex life would be toast."

Ben grinned and raised a brow, "Because I'd choose our dates over having sex with my fiance?"

"I'm glad you agree," I grinned back, wide and goofy. The waitress passed by and I asked for a refill, along with a croissant. I already had cereal, but needed a
snack. Ben was shaking his head at me and still grinning. "Gabe mentioned that you guys were going to paradise for your honeymoon. Do they have cell reception there?"
He laughed and kept his eyes on me, "You're sounding so needy."

I shrugged my shoulders and tried to fake a serious face, "Who's supposed to give me advice? You're my only friend."

He let the grin on his lips widen, "I'm not going to lie and say it doesn't make me feel good."

"What? That you're my only friend?" i asked, a hint of amusement in my tone.

"I'm the best, how could anyone ever compare to me?" He asked as he tried to keep a straight face but failing miserably.

I laughed lightly at my friends words, shaking my head too, "You're too confident and it's probably my fault."

"But." He paused when the waitress approached our table again and set a chubby croissant under my nose, "It's only fair because you're the best too."

"Now, that I like better," I grinned before sinking my teeth into the croissant, suddenly feeling famished. "But you have other friends," I added after swallowing.

"Like who?"

"Sean," I answered simply.

"Jealous again?" He grinned, "I'm done with models. From now on I'll date only successful businessmen."

My lips quirked into a smirk since sometimes he killed me, "Oh, you have a type now? I thought you preferred adorable, doe eyed brunettes with a hidden kinky side."

He groaned at my last words, "I'm never going to talk about my sex life again. You forget nothing." I laughed and took another bite of the croissant, shrugging my shoulders. He was right though, I had an amazing memory. "Do you have plans for this weekend?"

I started to shake my head while swallowing, clearing my throat as I remembered, "Chloe's making me dinner since the last time she offered, we ended up babysitting and eating pizza. And watching The Avengers. Twice."

Ben laughed and looked relaxed in his seat, "Gabe loves that one."
"I've noticed," I replied.

"He was so excited when he came back home," He said with a smile on his face while he thought about his adorable son. "He said he had a great time with you and Chloe and he's happy that you two are coming to the wedding so that he'll have someone to play with."

I laughed lightly, "It sounds like I'll be too busy with your son to pay attention to you too."

"Don't you dare," He said as he kept a straight face only to break into a grin a second later. "Luckily for you there will be Chloe to help you with him."

"Yeah," I nodded, a small smile on my own face this time.

He studied my expression, "You two are spending a lot of time together."

"We are," I nodded once more. "I have fun with her... she's unlike anyone I've ever dated."
Ben snorted, "She's one of a kind. That's for sure."
I laughed and then smiled at my friend, "So you two are okay now?"
"We are," He nodded his head and looked lost in his thoughts for a second. "I told her about the job position our parents offered me."

I widened my eyes, surprised it had taken him so long to tell her. I mean, that was what? Four or five months ago?? "And how did that go? You're still alive, so I'm assuming well?" I grinned.

"Yeah it went well," He grinned back at me, the only one who could bring out my silly side. "For a moment I thought she was about to lose it and I'd have to give up on everything."

I raised one brow slowly, "How so?"

"When I started talking, telling her I wanted to take the agency over...she thought I wanted to cut her out the family business. As if I was stealing her dream," Ben explained and to be honest, I was surprised that she'd think so low of her brother.

"I thought she liked modeling instead," I pointed out, never missing a beat.

"Then why do you think she was going to school?" He widened his eyes, making a silly imitation of his sister that made me laugh. "Really though, part of me was hurt she'd think I'd go behind her back. But as soon as she gave me time to explain it all...she seemed excited instead. Maybe now we can stop fighting and have a nice brother-sister relationship."

"Well I'm glad," I said seriously, knowing how rough it'd be to date Chloe without Ben's approval. Honestly? I couldn't. "It's good to hear that you two are talking again, even if you guys have a weird relationship at times," I added, meaning the part about how Chloe has in the past confided in Ben when it came to her sexcapades. Weird.

"Speaking of weird, did you tell her that you don't like her modeling in her underwear?" He lifted a brow and grinned, probably approving since she was his little sister after all.

I shook my head, "She's a lingerie model, its her job." Ben nodded while I felt the need to explain myself, wondering how Chloe had got what I said wrong. I never once said anything about the half naked pictures. "I made the mistake of googling her the other night... It's the topless pictures, the fully naked ones. When my dad hears that I'm dating her? He's going to Google her and see my girlfriend naked and that is what I have a problem with."

He raised one eyebrow at me, "Why should your dad google her?"

"I don't know, it could happen," I shrugged nonchalantly, knowing the way my father was.

"If it makes you feel better I don't like seeing those pictures either," He cringed and I couldn't blame him. I didn't have a sister, but I could only imagine how awkward that might be. "But they're out and even if she's going to stop with that kind of shoots, old pictures are still going to float around. Honestly, I don't know what I can tell you to make you feel better."

I deflated into my seat, knowing he had a point and that I was only being an asshole about it. "Would you like it if there was Cami in those pics instead?" I asked out of curiosity.

"Are you kidding me? I'd never share her dressed, let alone naked." He grinned at me then forced a serious expression again, "I'm with you on this one Trist, I even tried to talk to her but all I could get was her bringing up my pictures instead." He explained with a sigh, "You know my sister and how she is, but if she's willing to stop posing naked because of you? That says a lot."

I nodded because my friend once again had a good point. And I was most definitely going about this in the wrong way and being an asshole towards his sister for it. She didn't deserve that. "You're right," I replied eventually and he grinned at me.

"It doesn't change things though, huh?"

I swear it was like he could read my mind... know how much the thought of another guy jacking off to my girlfriends naked pictures irked me. It wasn't even jealousy since she was mine... it was just annoying. "I'll get over it," I said with a shrug, not wanting to think about it anymore. "So when are you getting your new office?"

He laughed and raised a brow, "Done with that topic?"

"Yes," I nodded my head seriously.

He sighed a silly sigh and smirked as he kept his eyes on me, "It seems fair. I'm already shocked enough you talked to me about it at all."

I raised a brow, "Forgive me if I wasn't sure to share my annoyance because your sister has naked pictures all over the internet."

"You're right. Let's drop it," He made a face, not liking to think about that himself and I couldn't blame him. It made me happy that I didn't have a sister. "Let's talk about work instead."

"Boring," I retorted, my signature smirk back on my face, "But I'm still interested in when I'll be start my day knowing my best friend is working next to my door."

"I can see your excitement," Ben teased even though it was true, "I'll start on January I think...new year, new life."

"That'll be here faster than you think," I said seriously, thinking about how fast this year had flown by. And a lot had happened too. "Are you sure you'll be able to get any work done having to see this handsome face all the time?" I added and grinned wide at my best friend.

He laughed and shook his head, "I guess I'll have to try."

I matched his laugh and leaned back in my seat, feeling... I don't know, complete? I had a best friend, a girlfriend, a great job.... Things were starting to go my way. "Do you and Cami have plans for New Years Eve?"

"Not yet, but we were thinking about leaving for a little while... a small vacation," He shrugged his shoulders.

"Where to?"

"Not sure yet. Cami's taking care of it, but we agreed on going to the Alps," He explained after thinking about it for a moment.

"To do what?" I asked, wondering what they would do there besides sex and skiing. I wasn't even sure if Ben could ski.

"Ski? Be lazy? Make babies? Make snowmen?" He said back, making a list of all the random things crossing his mind as a smile widened his lips, "How does that sound to you?"

I smirked as I kept my eyes on him, "It sounds silly just like you. Relaxing too."

He pursed his lips together for a moment, looking as though he was contemplating the next words that might or might not come out of his mouth. "You and Chloe should come too for a few days," He said eventually and I was shocked by the suggestion.

I felt my eyes widen and stared at my best friend for a moment, unsure if I'd heard him right or not. "Come again?" I said slowly and he rolled his eyes.

"I'm serious," He shrugged it off like it was nothing. "Chloe's been hinting about going away anyways and Gabe would love it if you were there to play with him."
I grinned and nodded my head, "I see. You want us to babysit your kid while you and Cami make babies."
"Well now that you mention it..." He trailed off and grinned before laughing, giving his head a shake. "Not at all. I just think it'd be nice to get away... all of us."

I nodded my head, thinking about how Chloe had brought it up the other day... and I was an asshole, kind of shooting her idea down. I wasn't a great boyfriend, my track record sucked, I needed to try harder. "When are you guys leaving?"

"I think the day after Christmas. My mom would get crazy if we missed the annual dinner," He said as he grinned, lost in his happy thoughts.

"And how long are you going to stay?" I went on, raising a brow.

"Until the weekend after new years eve."

"So...one week? A little more?"

Ben nodded, "A deserved break before January craziness."

I groaned since in our industry January was always a nightmare of a month. Fashion weeks happened and you wished the day was made of 48 hours because time was never enough. "I don't even want to think about it," I said seriously, thinking about all the work I'd be swamped with.

He smirked at the expression on my face, "So you're coming with us or not?"

"I'll have to look at the dates and think about it..." I trailed off and he raised a brow in response. "You know how I am about missing days at work."

"You'll already be getting most of them off since the agency will be closed for the holidays," He pointed out and I nodded my head. "You'd be missing one or two days tops. My mom won't kill you, you know?"

I grinned at my friend and lifted my own brow, "But since it'll be the new year, won't you be my boss instead?"

Ben laughed and nodded his head, "Exactly. Now you really have no excuse."

"I feel like your playing favorites though," I said while trying to fake a serious expression.

He shrugged, "Well you are my favorite casting director, so..."

I laughed and felt myself relaxing, thinking about taking a vacation. A real vacation. I couldn't remember the last time that had happened. "Everyone's going to hate me since I'm your favorite and all," I joked back.

He shrugged again as he kept his eyes on me, "What's new? I'm sure everyone will expect that."

I grinned, "I'm not sure if I'm ready to be hated though."

"You already have me as best friend, why would you need anyone else to be your friend?" He reasoned out loud as he tried to keep a straight face, but failed.

"You make awfully good points," I commented, my grin still in place.

He smiled back at me, "As long as they convince you."
