"Hey," I grinned as Chloe opened the door, leaning in to kiss her.
"Hi," She whispered against my lips. "I just got home, I didn't have time to cook."
"Oh so you can't really do it all.....I think this might be a deal breaker for me," I said, clearly trying not to smirk as she narrowed her eyes at me.
"Careful Williams, more talk like that and I won't be putting out tonight." She rethought that and then shrugged. "Or I'll only put out once tonight."
"Such awful threats. I think maybe we could order some food what do you think?"
She nodded, pulling out the menus from a few places around her apartment and handing them over to me. "How was your day?" She asked while I ran a hand through my hair, studying the different menus.
"Long..." I trailed off, thinking about the meetings I had lined up, one after another, just about all day. Models were a real piece of work sometimes, demands a little too ridiculous. Sometimes I honestly hated my job. Chloe was frowning when I looked up at her, a smile tugging on my lips since my day was officially over and I could finally relax. "But things are starting to look up. I have a good feeling about tonight."
She smirked back at me and looked down at my hands and the menus in them, "Have you made a decision yet?"
"Nope," I replied and tossed them back onto the counter, reaching for her waist and pulling her body into mine. Her body molded against mine and I pressed her back against the wall, feeling her hands against my chest as we kissed.
Breaking the kiss, she set her head against the wall and gave me her best seductive look... the kind she made millions for and it made so much sense to me now. "How about we skip dinner and go to bed early instead?"
I parted my lips to agree to her idea when the doorbell interrupted me, my brow quirking. "I was leaning towards Italian. Maybe someone read my mind?" I joked, letting her brush beside me and walk over to the door.
She looked at the peep hole and groaned while I came up behind her, about to ask when she answered, "My mom's here... and she has Gabe."
"Oh?" I said, not knowing what else to say when she opened the door and her mom looked back and forth between us, her eyes full of questions but she looked frazzled and Gabe looked bored.
"Well hello!" She smiled at me then embraced her daughter in a hug. "I hate to interrupt this... date, but there's an emergency with grandmere and I was watching Gabe tonight for Ben and Cami, I honestly -"
"Stop and take a breath mom," Chloe cut her off with a smile, Gabe's eyes bouncing back and forth between us. "I'll watch the little monster. Just go take care of grandmere. Is she okay?"
Ava sighed and shrugged before nodding, "You know how my mum is... stubborn. Everything should be okay and I'm sure the home is just overreacting, but -"
"Go mom. Gabe's in good hands," She cut her mom off once more, ushering Gabe into the apartment. The women said their goodbyes and Gabe was smothered with kisses before the door finally closed. "Hey kid. You know Tristan, right?"
He nodded at me and flung his backpack onto the ground, sitting Indian style beside it and sorting through what looked like a hundred toys stuffed into one small bag. "He's my friend," He said matter of factly. "I'm hungry Aunt Chloe. Can we have pizza?"
"See? Someone read my mind."
"What's a date?" Gabe asked, wide eyes looking up at his aunt.
She laughed and shrugged as she thought about it, "It's what you do when you have a crush on someone."
He just blinked at then looked at me, "Why didn't you tell me you had a crush on Aunt Chloe?"
"Because I'm shy and I didn't know if she liked me too," I said while struggling not to laugh.
"But she does?" He asked, looking between the two of us again.
"So far," She teased, sending the order in for the pizza on her phone.
"Yuck," He decided, taking a coloring book out of his backpack with a bag of crayons. "My maman and papa are on a date," He said idly as he colored a page of transformers.
"That's nice," Chloe smiled.
"They're getting married!" He said with more enthusiasm. "Papa said I can wear a fancy suit like him called a tux!!!"
"Oh you'll look so handsome," She grinned. "I wonder if the best man gets to wear a tux?"
I winked at her, "You know I bet he does."
"Are you the best man?!" He asked.
"I sure am."
"So I get to match you and Papa!?" He exclaimed, looking like this was the best news he'd ever heard. Kids were cute when they weren't your own.
"So many handsome guys at that wedding," She teased and tilted her head, getting that glint in her eyes.
Gabe wrinkled his nose, "I don't want to be handsome."
"Too late," Chloe grinned, sitting down on the couch behind him. "You're the most handsome boy I have ever seen!"
He shrugged his shoulders, "Maman says my papa is instead. She told me that I'm adorable."
"You're that too," Chloe laughed and ruffled a hand in her hair, smiling at me as I sat down beside her. "And I think she meant that your dad is the most handsome man... not boy." He ignored her in favor of flipping the pages to find a new picture to color. "What did you do today?"
"I went to school," He said simply and looked at us. "Did you know that I'll have a sister soon?"
I laughed since Ben had told me about their talk with Gabe and ordering kids. The kid was cute, I had to give him that. So innocent. Chloe's eyes were wide and I had a feeling that this was all news to her and she was receiving it all wrong. "Cami is pregnant?!" She asked in a loud voice that made Gabe wrinkle his nose again, and look a little disgusted.
He shook his head, "No! They're ordering a baby!!!"
She blinked and I laughed harder, covering my mouth since Gabe was eyeing me now. "Wait, what?" She said slowly and the kid sighed, annoyed that his aunt wasn't aware of the baby ordering process. I was dying inside.
"They will need someone to carry the flowers at their wedding since I'll carry the rings," He explained, trying to reason with her. "Papa said he will put in his order for a baby girl."
"And how does that work?" I asked with a serious expression, leaning forward towards him.
"It's like ordering a pizza," He shrugged.
"Is it?" She asked, widening her eyes.
"Yes, and she's going to have brown hair and brown eyes like Mama and she'll like Barbies," He nodded.
"Huh. Did you order her off a baby catalog?" She asked, Gabe scrunching his face up as he thought about it.
"No I think the internet," He said finally. Chloe and I couldn't hold it in any longer, we started cracking up.
"You should get a baby too!" He said excitedly. "If you have a boy then I'll have a friend but he wont' live with me and steal all my toys!!!"
"Ahh, maybe some day little buddy," She rumpled his hair. "For now I like just being the worlds best Aunt. Especially if there's a fed-ex delivery of a little girl on the way."
"She should be here soon," He agreed and then hopped up. "I have to go potty."
"You know where the bathroom is," She nodded and he ran across the apartment, almost flying over there with his little kid steps. "They told him they're going to order a baby?" She laughed.
"From what Ben tells me he puts in orders almost daily," I laughed and Chloe rolled her eyes.
"Gross," She shook her head and leaned into me, reaching up to kiss me long and hard since with the little one our plans had to be much more PG than I'd planned. I groaned into her mouth and held her tighter, sliding my fingers into her hair and pressing her up against the door right before someone rang the buzzer to her apartment downstairs.
"If that starts happening everytime I want to make out with you I'm moving," She said seriously, making me grin.
"Ask him if he also runs the baby delivery," I teased as she went to go pay for the pizza.
"Who knew you were so funny?" She asked, rolling her eyes.
"Tristan want to play with me?" Gabe asked, grabbing the box of toy's Chloe kept for him at her place.
"Food first!" She said, pulling some plates from the cabinet. "What do you want to drink little man, juice, milk or water?"
"JUICE!" He said excitedly. "Then soda!"
"Deal," She laughed, grabbing me a beer and pouring herself a glass of wine.
"This is my favorite beer," I said, looking over at the Australian label.
"Yes I guessed because it was the only thing in your fridge."
"Maman hates beer but she says one day I'll like it," Gabe said, sliding her an empty glass. "If it tastes like juice I think I like it now. More please!"
"En francais?" She asked.
"Plus sil vous plait!" He said happily.
"Bon travail," She grinned.
"Can I have another slice?" I asked while Chloe stood up.
"En Francais!" Gabe chastised me and she laughed.
"Tristan ne parle pas francais," She teased, though she had started texting me translations...though they were all dirty. Honestly? I had no desire to learn the language.
"Pourquoi?" He asked with wide eyes.
"Because I'm so good at English," I grinned.
"I'm good at both," Gabe said seriously, making Chloe crack up.
"You sound just like your dad," She told him and he smiled wide, taking it as a compliment.
"Maman tells me that all the time!" He said before taking a big bite of his pizza, only half closing his mouth. Kids and manners, they didn't go hand in hand. "When I finish this piece, I'll have another one. Just like Tristan!" He announced, working fast to prove himself.
I grinned as I finished chewing the piece Chloe had brought me over, taking a sip of beer afterwards to wash it down. "Are you excited about your parents getting married?" I asked, curious since Ben had originally been scared to talk to Gabe about it.
He nodded and frowned, "I am, except that I can't go on the honeymoon to paradise."
"Paradise, huh?" Chloe grinned at him and he nodded once more.
"Yeah," He said slowly, really drawing the word out. "I'll be staying with grandma and grandpa instead."
"Why don't you sound too excited about that?" She asked and faked a little pout to sympathize with him.
"I am, I just hate missing my maman and papa," He replied, looking down at his empty plate. "Can I have another now please?"
"Sure cutie," She grinned, handing him a smaller piece and watching as he ate it like it was the best thing he'd ever tasted. I had the feeling he only ate healthy food at home, after all, I knew how much Ben liked his veggies.
"Can I sleepover here sometimes when maman and papa go to the paradise place?" He asked, his eyes bright.
"Of course!"
"Do you have a room here?" I asked, knowing that Chloe's guest room was set up for Gabe.
"Yes, but when I stay the night here we make a big fort with blankets and pillows and sleep in the living room!"
"Oh," I grinned. "That sounds awesome."
"Aunt Chloe maybe you should let Tristan sleepover someday," Gabe said seriously and I laughed again.
"Maybe," She winked at me.
"Aunt Chloe is so fun. I'm glad you have a crush on her," Gabe finished his juice and I looked over at his aunt.
"I'm glad you approve," I said, though Gabe wasn't really paying any attention anymore.
"Let's watch a movie!!!! Do you have the avengers?"
Chloe groaned inwardly, "Sure." She nodded, pointing over to where the DVD's were stacked next to her big screen, "Go find it."
He slid out of his seat and started for the movies, making a mess while she groaned again. "You're going to clean that up, right?"
"I will," He assured her, half of the movies already in a big mess on the ground while he searched for the one he wanted.
"Not a fan of superheroes?" I asked her, wiping my hands clean on the napkin after finishing my piece.
She grinned and shook her head, "They're hot and save the damsels in distress. What's not to like?"
I smirked and nodded my head towards the kid, "You didn't sound to eager to watch The Avengers."
"It's his current favorite and we've seen it about 100 times. At least. And within the last month," She wrinkled her nose and I grinned, leaning over to kiss it away and make her smile. "What was that for?"
"You looked too cute, I had to kiss you," I said seriously and she quirked a brow.
"Will you stay over tonight?"
I shrugged, "If you're lucky."
Her mouth fell open and she gave me that look, the one that made me want to groan. "I want to get lucky and that's why I'm asking," She said in a low voice, sounding so fucking sexy.
"You should've opened with that and my answer would've been yes a hell of a lot sooner," I grinned at her.
"I want to kiss you so bad right now," She said seriously and I leaned closer again, this time kissing her forehead and a dazzling smile appeared on her lips. "Not enough."
"We'll make up for it later," I promised.
"You're lucky I have such a crush on you," She grinned.
"If I recall correctly, you had a crush on me first," I pointed out, that cocky smirk back on my face.
"Oh please, you wanted me too, you'd just never admit it," She grinned to herself as I shot her a smile and shrugged, grabbing a piece of pepperoni and eating it without taking my eyes off her.
"Allez vien!!!" Gabe called out. "It's movie time!! Thor is my favorite today."
"Mine too little guy," Chloe agreed, sitting on the couch next to him as I took the seat next to her.
"Thor huh?" I asked with a brow raised.
"I think Tristan is your favorite instead," Gabe said, always surprising me with how intuitive he was.
"Maybe," She grinned, kissing him on the head.
He looked up at her to wrinkle his nose, not fond of girl kisses yet I guess. "Your favorite after me of course!" He clarified.
She nodded her head and faked a serious expression, "Oh, of course!" He settled back against the couch and sighed. "What's on your mind little guy?"
He shrugged his shoulders then slumped them a bit, "Maman is your friend and she is marrying papa... What if I have a sister and her friends fall in love with me?!" He looked terrified and I couldn't help myself, laughing hard until he was glaring at me.
"It;s bound to happen," Chloe agreed with him and wrapped an arm around him.
"But I don't want a girlfriend!!"
I laughed and looked at him with a more serious face, at least attempting one, "That's what I used to say, but hey, it's not so bad."
Chloe's mouth fell open and she looked at me, elbowing my side, "Not so bad?!"
I grinned and wrapped my arm around her shoulder, giving her a kiss on her cheek, "It's great instead. I'm the luckiest man alive. Better?" I grinned wider while Gabe scrunched his face up behind my girl.
"Luckiest man alive?" She laughed, "You sound like Ben."
"My papa!?" Gabe asked with a grin.
She nodded and ruffled his hair, "That's the only Ben I know."
"There's a Ben in my class, but he's always getting into trouble." Then he was absorbed back into the movie.
"Comparing me to your brother? Really?" I whispered and she chuckled.
"I'd think you'd take that as a compliment."
"Still."
"You were being cheesy, that's Ben's specialty."
I laughed before Gabe shushed me. "I dunno, I actually feel pretty lucky," I said as my fingers grazed her neck softly.
"Me too."
