“Hey!” Colbie sat down at the table I had at the back of her favorite restaurant which happened to be my favorite too.
“Hi.” I smiled and reached up to kiss her.
“I’m sorry I’m late, I had the clingiest client ever.” She sighed. I rose my brows at her in question and she laughed. “Some women are pretty indecisive about houses.”
I nodded, thinking that some other women were indecisive about men instead. “It’s okay it’s only 10 minutes.”
“How was your day?” She asked, grinning as the waiter brought over a glass of red wine. She preferred red and so did I, another thing we had in common.
“It was long.” I admitted, feeling exhausted only thinking about it. There was nothing new about that though, but now I liked that my days always ended better when I saw Colbie. “My boss is an idiot. He’d make much more money and save much more time doing things differently but he’s too stubborn and old fashioned.”
“I’m guessing your way is the right way?” She teased, knowing how stubborn I was too. But only when I was right.
