"Hey handsome." Lila smirked as she leaned into my office. 

I was sitting at my desk, working and not expecting to see her. When I heard her voice I grinned. "What are you doing here?" I asked, leaning back and making it obvious as my eyes traveled over her body. She was wearing a sleeveless blouse tucked into a tight black pencil skirt and high heels. So hot.

"I had a meeting downtown and thought I'd take you to lunch." She replied.

"I'll do you one better. I'm going home early." 

She widened her eyes and stared at me. "Are you still Travis Cole?" She asked. "Do you have a fever?" 

I rolled my eyes. "I went in early today. We can have a 2 and a half day weekend." I stood up and stretched.

She walked towards me and then wrapped her body around mine. "You're too good to me." She whispered. 

I wrapped my arms around her and squeezed her tight. "Do you want to go out? You're all dressed up." 

She shook her head. "No I just want you." 

"I actually promised to have lunch with Jax." I admitted, running my hand through my hair. 

She shrugged. "That's cool. As long as I get to take you home and have my wicked way with you after." She gave me a fake inncent smile and I smirked.

"We'll see."

"What!?" She laughed., grabbing my hand as I led her out of my office and through the building.

I took an appreciative look at her legs, ignoring her words instead, "It's almost too bad you don't work here anymore." I told her as we walked outside.

"Lies, you'd be always distracted and you'd hate it." She rolled her eyes but still had a smirk playing on her pink lips.

"I don't mind being distracted sometimes." I shrugged as I led her to where we were supposed to meet Jax.

She shook her head, "Excuse me but who are you? Because my brother would never say that." She faked a serious face.

I only smirked wider, she was right, only lately I got bored easily and the thought of Lila breaking into my office in sexy clothes wasn't that bad. "You just earned a good spank for later."

"Yay!" She exclaimed then chuckled before pressing a quick kiss on my lips.

"Look at the happy couple." Jax pointed out as soon as she saw us. "I thought it was just me and Trav."

"I can go away if you want." Lila said in a silly voice, followed by a pout.

"No." He paused then checked her out and I let him because I knew he saw Lila as a sister. "How come you're dressed so professional?"

"She's sexy." I added, pulling Lila against my side.

She bit down on her lip, leaning into me, "I had a meeting." She paused and blinked at my brother, "Why aren't you in jeans and tshirt?!"

He shrugged his shoulders while I smirked, because it was weird to see my brother in a shirt and actual pants, "I had a meeting too. I'm going to tell you everything but I'm hungry, so let's eat first." He announced as we walked into the restaurant and asked for a table.

"Everything as planned?" I asked my brother, not wanting to wait so long because I had been thinking about him all morning. I was always impatient, this time I had a specifically good reason to be.

He nodded as we sat around the table, looking oddly relaxed and...not as miserable as usual. "Yes, everything went smoothly." He reassured me.

"Good." I commented shortly and smiled at him, genuinely happy for him. I could wait for the details now.

"I feel left out." Lila wrinkled her nose, grabbing a menu.

I dropped my hand on her leg, squeezing it as I looked at her, "We'll fill you in baby."

"Meh." She said flatly, not even looking back at me.

I shot Jax a grin and he grinned back, shaking his head. "We picked a name. Ruby." He announced, always knowing how to distract Lila. This time distracting me too.

I furrowed my brows, "Ruby?" I echoed him, wondering how they picked the name. "Ruby as my niece Ruby?"

"That's adorable." Lila smiled and reached over and squeezed Jax's hand. "I love it. Whats her middle name?" 

Jax laughed as I looked at her. "Why does she need a middle name?" He asked. "Ruby Cole is perfect."

"I have a middle name. Will has a middle name. Don't you think she'll want one if her brother has one?" 

I shrugged. That meant no.

"You sound like your sister." Jax commented.

"Besides it'll probably be Ruby Trenton-Cole anyways." She shrugged.

"No." Jax and I said at the same time. 

She widened her eyes. "Why not? Will is William Henry Trenton-Barrett." She replied. "And Colbie was married to Will's dad." 

Jax made a little growl as I spoke. "That is too fu.cking long. What is he a king of England?"

"To be fair, I don't think he's used the Barrett part since Nick left." She admitted.

"Colbie already said it was Ruby Cole." Jax replied.

"There's one way to get my brothers to hate you." She laughed. "But if it's okay with Colbie." 

"Your brothers need a fucking chill pill." I shook my head. "Or a girlfriend."

"They do need girlfriends. They need to fall hopelessly and utterly in love so they don't have time to worry about anything else anymore. Especially Reece."

"I'm not sure he could even get a girlfriend." Jax joked and she stared at him before laughing because Jax was the last person to talk bad about someone. I was instead, because I didn't give a fuck about anything or anyone.

"You're wrong. Girls love assholes." She turned her thumb over to me and smirked. "Proof positive." 

I shot her a wicked grin. "Your number of spankings is going up Lil." I said slowly.

"Mmm...Promises promises." She sighed.

"Seriously?" Jax glared at both of us.

"Well you're not telling me what your meeting is about and I have a very short attention span!" She exclaimed, clapping to herself when the waitress brought out our soups. 

"She's easily distracted." I replied. "Like a puppy."

"Careful or I won't let you spank me." She replied in a sing song voice as she licked her lips. "I'm waiting." She told Jax as I snorted.

"I-" Jax started but I cut him off.

"I have a new assistant." I announced with a smirk on my face.

Lila glared at me, not as amused as I was. "Travis." She narrowed her eyes on me, "No spanks tonight."

"We'll see who won't spank you tonight when you'll be tied to my bed." I told her nonchalantly, only smirking wider.

Jax groaned, "Can you two stop, not everyone has a happy exciting sex life."

Lila winced, her expression turning soft again. "Sorry Jax."

"That's why you should meet my new assistant." I said instead, giving my brother a significant look. I knew he had a lot on his plate, so much to go through, but I knew that he needed some distraction too, some fun, or he'd go crazy. "She's hot."

"How hot?" He asked slowly, looking slightly interested.

"Super. Dark hair, dark eyes...she's in her forties I think but damn she has a killer body." I said honestly.

Jax looked at me weird then glanced at Lila. "Aren't you jealous?" He asked slowly.

"Nah. I'm over being jealous, at the end of the day he always comes home to me and I trust him so being jealous is pointless." She shrugged as she kept eating her soup, completely indifferent to my words. She had changed a lot since I had met her. "But you should be with my sister, not with some random s.lutty assistant." She added and rolled her eyes at me.

"She's not s.lutty at all." I said back and raised one eyebrow. "And your sister made it clear that she doesn't want him." I added, trying not to get mad about it all over again. God she was so stupid, had f.ucked up big time.

Lila sighed, "Yeah. Unfortunately." She commented, a hint of sadness in her voice.

Jax reached for her hand and squeezed it, "Don't be upset, I'm over it. I just want to focus on my daughter now. And Will." He said with his usual smile on his face. I didn't understand how he could do that, but I was happy that my brother was back to be himself.

"I have no idea of how you can do that." I muttered, shaking my head.

"Because he's not you." Lila pointed out and shrugged, once again not really caring about what I was saying. It was as if she was too secure.

"You're lucky." My brother said with a sigh.

"We build our luck Jackson." I told him seriously, staring at him because we had been over that already. "You're doing all the right things right now and that's all that matters. All you need other than that is to get laid."

He shook his head, "I can't when another woman is carrying my daughter."

I raised one eyebrow. "Says who? You're not together and you're just a man. Come on Jax, I know you, you can't resist much longer."

"Seriously?" She made a face at me. "He doesn't need to hop into bed with the next hottie." She rolled her eyes.

"Why not?" I asked, looking at her intently.

"Because he has more self control than that." She narrowed her eyes on me and I shrugged.

"Do you?" I asked Jax.

".....do you have a picture?" Jax asked.

She scoffed. "Seriously? If that's how fast you get over her Colbie was right to leave you." She replied, saying what was on her mind. As usual.

"Oh Lila." I shook my head  because she had said something really wrong.

Jax glared at her. "Is that what you think? That I'm over her?" 

She gave him a matching stare right back. "Must be if you're so willing to get under Trav's super hot assistant." She rolled her eyes.

"Excuse me for trying to move on with my life. While you and Travis had the luxury of drinking away your heartbreak and yelling at each other for weeks? I don't have that. I have a daughter I'm preparing for. And Colbie isn't pining away for me the way you two were. It's fucking over. We all have to get that. I'd rather live my life than wait around for a woman who has been running from me even when we were together!!!" 

"I know." She admitted. "I just...she made you so happy."

"But I didn't make her feel the same." Jax replied.

"Let's change the subject." I replied, reaching over and squeezing her hand. They could discuss that alone another moment, I wasn't going to say what my opinion was again.

"Okay." She agreed. "Why are you all dressed up like a sexy GQ model?" She asked Jax, smirking as he grinned at her, back to his silly self for now even it was just a mask.

"You like what you see?" He asked, rolling his sleeves up slowly. 

She rolled her eyes. "Tell me!"

"You should just tell her Jax, she's going to find out eventually."

"I asked Travis to invest in a new company." Jax said finally. 

She nodded and didn't look surprised since that was something I did all the time. "What does that have to do with you?" She asked.

"It's my company." Jax replied seriously, his face showing the pride he had for what he was doing all over it.

"What?" She asked, dropping her spoon.

"Cole Contracting." 

She stared at him, about to cry for sure then she smiled. "Well it's about time." She said instead.

Jax smiled at my girlfriend in the same exact way he did with Liz. "Don't cry Lil."

"I'm not crying!" She protested, crossing her arms against her chest.

"Oh you are, your eyes are glossy." I teased her as I wrapped my arm around her shoulders and pulled her against my side. "Come here big baby."

"Oh my god Travis!!!" She pushed me away, clearly annoyed, but when we laughed she laughed with us. "I'm just so proud of you Jax" She added softly.

"I am too." I said seriously to my brother.

"Thank you guys. Despite all the s.hit that went down lately I feel like I'm doing something real good." He smiled. If a daughter and a broken heart was what he had needed to finally make something with his life then maybe it was worth the pain.

Lila clapped her hands, looking excited all over again. "We should celebrate with dessert." She announced.

"Since when you celebrate with dessert, we should have drinks instead." I groaned.

"We'll get drinks tonight." She told me with a grin, "Do you want to come over tonight? We can have dinner and go out with the others too."

"Look at my girlfriend organizing my life." I said flatly even though in this case I didn't mind.

Jax looked amused while Lila ignored me. "I'd like that but I have something else to do." He said. "So for now I say yes to the dessert."

"Lila we're sharing anything chocolate thank you." I told her, this time it was my turn to give her orders. "What do you have to do tonight?" I asked my brother.

"Will is coming over. I promised him pizza and video games." He announced and he looked both embarrassed and proud. Wow.

I let out a whistle. "That doesn't sound bad I'm considering to come over too." I said grinning even if I wouldn't ever interrupt their time together. Not now that things were still messy anyway.

"Hmmm. I can't tie myself to the bed....." Lila trailed off and Jax groaned again while I laughed.

"Good point. Sorry I have other plans."

"You two are gross." Jax replied as she ordered the chocolate raspberry dessert.

"If you're jealous Travis said he has an assistant who's slutty." 

I shook my head. "No she's not...she's just hot." 

"I think most girls are slutty when they meet you or your brothers." She admitted. 

"Too bad I'm not single." I smirked.

She glared at me. "Talk about how great your assistants body is some more. See what happens."

"I swear you two are both always two seconds away from fighting or fucking." Jax groaned. "Maybe we should drink now instead." 

She laughed as I pulled her closer and kissed her quickly. "Us? We never fight."

"Tell me more about your new company. Do you have an office? Do you need help designing a website? I have an in with a really good graphics designer."

I rolled my eyes, because Lila kept ignoring me or glaring at me and now she even acted like my kisses were nothing. The waitress set the desserts on the table and I grabbed mine. I wasn't going to share with Lila, she was too busy talking to Jax anyway.

"Almost, yes and yes." Jax smirked at her and I swear, she was the sister he had always needed even if he didn't even know.

Lila laughed while I took a giant bite. Chocolate was my fave. "Almost?! How can you almost have an office?" She laughed.

"I think I do but I still have to make it official." He said back with a big smile on his face.

"It makes sense now. I can't wait to help you with the creative part!" She clapped her hands in excitement as I took another spoon of my dessert.

"Yeah I can tell." He laughed too before looking serious again. "Lil, don't tell anything to Colbie." He added.

She blinked at him and I yawned. If they were going to argue at least this would get more interesting. "Why?" She asked.

"Because it's not your thing to say, he's going to tell her." I groaned, shaking my head before finishing the dessert.

"I'm bad at keeping secrets." She made a face, not even sparing me a glance. Unbelievable. "But yeah, of course! She's going to be happy for you Jax."

He sighed and for a moment he looked like he was 40. "I still have so much to do and say. Our parents don't know anything yet."

Lila widened her eyes and finally tuned to me. "Really?!" She asked and I nodded, "Oh my god Trav you ate all the dessert!!!"

"Yes and it was delicious." I paused to shot her a satisfied grin, "But that's off topic, we were talking about more serious things."

"It was my idea to even get dessert!" Lila pouted and I rose a brow before kissing her hard. She licked my lower lip and I groaned before sliding my tongue against hers.

"Ahem." 

She held up one finger to Jax as she leaned in and kissed me harder, almost everything in the world forgotten when we were kissing like that. 

"I will leave. I will leave you two alone to get kicked out of this restaurant." 

I pulled away to start laughing and she shrugged. "What? She wanted dessert." She smirked and slid her hand to my knee.

"Here." He pushed his lemon cake towards her. "I suddenly have no appetite." 

She grinned and grabbed a fork. "Awesome." She took a big bite and looked at me as I looked over at her with an amused look on my face. 

"You're silly." He said shaking his head.

"You're sexy." She replied, smirking as she popped a raspberry in her mouth. "I won't tell Colbie. But you have to tell her soon."

"Deal." Jax said.
