And I can't stop 'til the whole world knows my name.
My office door opened slowly, Eva's head peeking in as she smiled wide at me. My serious expression changed as soon as my eyes meet hers. "May I come in?" She asked, keeping her eyes on me. When I nodded, she stepped inside the room and closed the door behind her. Then locked it, making me raise a brow at her. "I have something for you and I need some privacy," She added innocently as if answering to my questioning gaze.

Gave you a minute when you needed an hour.
Eva's mom laughed at my joke and her dad's mouth even quirked up into a smile, that stubborn man still trying to pretend he disliked me when I could tell he was slowly starting to fall for my charm. Eva on the other hand? She looked uncomfortable after hearing the word 'clitoris' coming out of her moms mouth and like she wanted to leave hours ago. "Alright," I slid the Cards of Humanity deck over to her and wrapped my arm around her waist. "Your turn."
She faked a yawn and stretched, "I think we're done for the night."
Her mom pouted, a little more than buzzed from the few glasses of wine she'd consumed, "But I'm doing so good! I'm winning."

Hungry for what was to come.
My eyes followed Eva's tight body as she walked across the room to a vending machine, moving up and down to make sure not an inch was missed. "God damn that woman is something," Charlie let out a low whistle, only loud enough for me to hear. And fuck if it annoyed me. The thing about me and Eva... well... It was really complicated. "Are you still fucking her?"
I instantly regretted ever telling him, not that we necessarily hid what was going on between us. I mean, we slept together, we weren't a couple always broadcasting PDA, but there was chemistry between us and you'd have to be an idiot to miss it. "Yes," I replied and tried to stop the corners of my mouth from turning upwards into a grin.

This is the winner takes it all.
I intertwined my fingers with Eva's, feeling her tense up beside me which only made me grin. "What's wrong?" I asked and let my eyes scan the crowd. Usually I avoided work parties, but tonight I was being honored for the work I'd done marketing the iTunes music festival which had been a hit at SXSW.
"People are going to think we're dating," She said back in a flat tone.
I gave her hand a squeeze, "My ego would be hurt if that girl in the sparkly pink dress wasn't currently eye fucking the both of us and making me think about a threesome."

You know I try to live without regrets.
I kept my straight face in place as I drove, not bothering to glance down as Eva critiqued my tie. For the second time in five minutes. Finally I groaned when she told me for the umpteenth time that we didn't have to go to dinner at her parents and could still turn around. "Why are you so nervous?" I asked and tilted my head to look at her when we stopped at a red light. She parted her lips to deny that she wasn't, but I set my hand on her thigh before she could speak and gave it a squeeze, "You have nothing to worry about."

Just like an old man, I play my lonely song.
My eyes fluttered open, lights on in my apartment that I wasn't sure I had left on. Or even turned on for that mattered. Sitting up slowly, I scrubbed my hands over my face and heard a noise in the kitchen. I resisted the urge to grab a bat, mostly because I had no idea where to find one in my place, and let my eyes wander into the kitchen. I wasn't going to lie, finding Eva in my kitchen was quite a view, especially since she seemed to be making food and suddenly I was starving. "How did you break into my loft?" I let my voice break the silence, sounding groggy as hell while I silently wondered what time it was and how long I had slept.

Cause you're a good girl and you know it.
I rolled over in bed, my eyelids still not budging even though someone kept knocking on my door. Probably the neighbor. Who else would be banging on my door so damn early? It was my day off. "Nolan, it's me!" A voice yelled out, loud enough for me to hear and a groan escaped me in response.
It was Sunday. What the hell was Eva doing at my place on a Sunday morning?

"Not a bad way to spend a Tuesday, right?" I grinned and glanced sideways at Eva who was holding onto her iPhone tightly, probably working still. The girl knew how to have fun, but rarely showed it in public. "Put that thing away."
She sighed and spared me a quick glance, "What were you saying?"
"I haven't been here since I was 10."

(Flashback)
I shoved my hands into my pockets, leaning my back against the wall as the guy walked around his desk and sat down. "Please have a seat," He motioned across the table towards one of the seats in front of me. I complied and sat down, watching him shuffle through his papers while a sweat broke out on his forehead. My eyes left him in favor of looking out of his office window, white everywhere; while walls, white computers, girls in crisp white dresses that clung to their bodies. I felt like I'd died and gone to heaven, and for a computer nerd like myself, I guess Apple kind of was like heaven. "Ah, here we go. Peter, right?"
