I scrolled through the listings on my laptop idly, basically
just wasting time before I could go home. It was funny, before Gabby? I would
spend as much time as I could at work, but now, all I wanted to do is be with
her. Even when I was with Melanie I put my job first….maybe that was part of
the reason why it never worked, because we weren’t meant to be.
“Mmmm.” I looked up to see my girl, leaning against the door
to my office with her hands crossed over her chest.
“What?” I smirked, leaning back in my seat.
“You’re just so handsome it’s hard to handle sometimes.” She
smirked and I felt myself grinning.
“Says the goddess in the skin tight dress and sky high
heels.” I commented, never actually able to keep my eyes off of her. Some
things hadn’t changed. Gabby walked up to me and sank in my lap while she saw
my lap top.
“What are you doing?” she asked, squinting her eyes and
looking at the page I had left open. “Are you moving?” she asked, looking
through the page of apartment listings. I swallowed, not actually planning on
having this conversation quite yet.
